  1. Still getting the crashes (they take longer on exploration mode, near instantaneous through craft cube) but on the other hand it takes 2 seconds to load the game from steam start and another 10 to load a game file. Overall massive improvements. I'll put up more crash logs when I notice a pattern.
  2. I cringed the moment you said it an EA. Thinking you were referring to EA Sims Expansions. Thank goodness we won't have to worry about expansion packs like that.
  3. I'll try to update the drivers again but here ya is anyway. DxDiag.txt
  4. They are working on it. It may take some time; especially if it has to do with more than a model reference or "phantom" models.
  5. I'm still having crashes with the three items in my inventory. I can't craft more of the items, to see if quantity helps, because...opening the craft menu is crashing the game.

    Cloned myself

This happened to me (after an attempt to get my old character back) when I linked my account. I just killed (or commited suicide?) my other toon for the loot. Got most of the recipes back.
  7. I'm hesitant to say it's the large ship recipe...but I think it is tied with the changes that were made to the ship/mast recipes. A while back the recipe for the large sail was changed because one of the craftable log types was changed or removed. The massive log (mast) that used to be a (2x2x8?) is no longer in the recipe list but it's data is still stored in the game. While the crafting menu is pretty cool, keeping the last crafted items first, it may be a safer route to keep a list of all possible recipes and have the locked recipes blacked out. That way the (data manager? search engine?) wouldn't have to re-produce a list of items every time you search, learn, or craft a recipe.)
  8. The UID alphanumeric were different (but the simple "name" went from Lenny to LennyII). I've been having severe issues using the crafting menu so that might play a role or another symptom. Another factor could be the game still recognized each of the characters as separate ID's and recognized the computer's ID like it would a multi-player game (it makes sense in my head {at least that's what the voices tell me}). I haven't been on a separate server that I've played on previously so it'll be interesting to see how that will play out.
  9. I've been trying to recreate scenarios for the menu crash. I have had more crashes in the block/building tab more then any of the others. I seem to only start having the crash issues after I've unlocked parts for the ships. I'm only guessing here but there could be a link between deleted/unused "block" types and the UI or memory demand for the UI.
  10. While this didn't work for me...I was able to find my original alive and well (only after the save file editing)...standing where I left him/me so I just took a nearby hammer and killed myself/him for my/his items. It may be of note I used the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(most recently edited folder)\298610\remote\SaveGames
  11. I should have included my files as well. Here they are: output_log.txt output_log_clean.txt Other notable info off the top of my head. Windows 10, i3
  12. I'm experiencing crash issues using the search bar in the crafting menu. I've been avoiding it using the tabs but the Building tab will crash the game if I scroll the crafting menu down.
