The oriental roof slope 2x2x1 has a wrong hitbox/collider model. It currently thinks it's a 1x1x1 sized block in the editor. You can place them into eachother (without freeplace), and because of this it's really hard to make good roofs because there's no blocks to place against.

Hello, Already posted this in the 0.6 bugs thread, but this is apparently still persistent. I thought it had to do with my old map being from a few patches ago so I started from scratch on a new map. What happens: I'm building a ship. Save the game, close the entire game, start the game, load up my map, and certain blocks are moved/clipped into eachother, others have lost their paint. This happens mainly to blocks whose movement/placement I have undone (using ctrl+z), which i have deleted or which I have moved using the move tool. This all happens in the editor by the way. Is this specifically with cars and ships? I've never had this happen on anything else than ships or cars (where it happens all the time). -
Hello guys! I've decided to host a dedicated server so we can start trying and enjoy the multiplayer experience. You can find the server in the list, it's called EXPLORE and the host is Wijkagent Adrie THE BOTTOMLINE IS TO HAVE FUN TOGETHER AND TEST THE GAME! PASSWORD IS HIDDEN IN THIS POST, IT'S 7 LETTERS WHICH ARE BOLD, UNDERLINED. THEY ARE IN THE RULES SECTION. https://discord.gg/a2NxZqG As there is a finite amount of space and people tend to destroy nature we will start with a fresh map every now and then - I will announce this. This will likely be whenever new updates require us Like in Dayz, please don't get too attached to your gear and the stuff you have built, there will be bugs, problems, accidents and the occasional fresh map change. There will be events (pvp? boatrace?) every now and then, also I'm looking for people to do tests with, for example comparing speeds for different sail setups on boats. Server hosted in Germany. Because I can't be on 24/7 policing the server and because there is a finite amount of space there will be a few rules and a password which you can find in this post (Find all bold letters, it's 8 in total!). I hate serverrules and admins as much as you do, yet to keep it fun for everyone they are necessary. Server rules: SPAWN ISLAND BELONGS TO ALL OF US, PLEASE KEEP IT NICE Please put signs at your place! This prevents confusion as to what is yours and what isn't. Don't destroy all trees/crops of a certain type, especially on spawn island, Don't build too close to other people, if you want to do so ask the neighbors first, Don't claim large plots of land, discuss this with me first, Don't do large "terraforming", No stealing, but please don't leave your stuff for grabs, Mild swearing allowed, don't get personal, Explosives: I understand you need these for weapons or to destroy parts of your own buildings since there won't be an annihilator. Please use the appropriate power for the task and don't stockpile too much explosives as you'll end up on my terrorism suspect list PVP only on/around the PVP island. PVP includes, cannons, players etc. Don't shoot INTO the PVP area, also don't shoot OUT of the PVP area. PVP area is fair game, griefing, "terraforming", swearing etc. allowed. Wanna try to stresstest my server with 1000 tnt? Go ahead! Keep it there however. PVP island is the island which is 2 islands east from the spawn islands. I've surrounded it with pirate flags to let you know you're there. Picture of PVP island: This is my server, all rules & decisions I make are final. I intentionally left the rules vague, common sense should prevail. Always remember we are just testing the game! That's it for the rules! I hope to see you all soon!

Exactly this! One of the first things I tested when I was at gamescom to test the first iteration of cars. I've built a simple car ferry in the mean time but it's awaiting a good use. Also it would be nice if cars on cars work as I've made a car transporter -
Hey all! I've been making a fully modular stadium! It's built from different modular pieces so you can create different size stadiums really fast, with just the parts that you want. The parts include entrances, staircases, VIP boxes, corners with and corners without entrances, normal straight parts and entrances for vehicles. I've thrown together a rather large stadium (7818 normal seats!) meant for car racing as an example: I'm using a Game Area to make sure all the parts are rendered. Despite this the seats are not rendered out far which is perfectly fine, as the game performance with this massive stadium is not the best If you want to make a gamemode out of this I highly recommend you make it a lot smaller as with this amount of parts it's close to unplayable. Here's a bunch of interior shots from inside the stadium and on the walkways/stairs! Here's the interior of one of the 4 skyboxes! And here's the current race track's layout. It's inspired by the Race of Champions races, the tracks cross over so every car does a lap on either sides. This prevents the cars from crashing into eachother The track has been made in such a way that you need to think about your racing lines to get the fastest lap times! I've also experimented with placing blocks on 45 degree angles to make curb stones which worked out quite good! I think my next build will be a normal racetrack without a complete stadium Now about the parts: There are multiple different parts. All of them fit together, and the "catacombs" are below street level. Here's a general overview of the modules, their sizes, and a few of them combined together. Here's the corner piece with entrances. Here's the staircase module. Here's the straight entrance module. Here's a normal straight module, nothing fancy here. Here's the VIP box module. It contains a small bar, a table with 4 seats and 8 luxurious seats to watch the race or game playing! And here's the vehicle entrance! This entrance gives vehicles from outside access to the race track. It's made in such a way that people can't sneak into the stadium I hope you guys like the stadium, I will upload the modules soon™, so you guys can throw your own stadiums together! I have left most decorations out as I believe this is a personal touch you should do yourselves Thanks for watching again! Adrie

RESOLVED Cars despawn on server [critical]

Hello, This happened twice now on the same server my friend is hosting (non dedicated) where I'm playing as a client. I've placed a car chassis the first time, but couldn't place any driving seats on it. I decided to relog, only to find the chassis has disappeared completely. My friend was on the other side of the island, came to have a look but couldn't find it either. All my materials were used up. So I tried it again, made another chassis, placed some seats, an engine and made part of a car body. Drove it around for a while and used it, then we both logged off. I wasn't using the car when I logged off. After logging in today, my new car has disappeared again. I can give you my logs for now, I'm awaiting my friend sending the map and his logs. I've spawned in a new one via the editor, and as soon as both my friend and I left the vicinity of the car and came back, it despawned edit: This one was actually parked on our harbour. We've found it to be under the stone blocks on the sea floor. I already expected the other cars to have glitched through the world, but in the editor I couldn't find them. I went miles deep to search for them. What I did find at massive depths was loads of animals, especially normal animals you'd normally only see on land, not in caves. This was miles below normal cave systems, not in any cave, just clipped into the ground. edit 2: aaaaaand it's gone. For a brief moment it stayed ingame, on it's harbour platform but when returning to it after a while it's now gone as well. -
@Aleš Ulm Should the current barrier protect us against other players painting our houses? If so, it's not working since I can paint my mates house which is barrier protected. I hope he likes pink houses

I believe I was one of the first people to host a dedicated server (before it got taken offline, this screenshot is from June!), and one night I got visited by the devs @Berzeger and Yakub (I don't know his forum name on here). We gathered some stuff and decided to make a massive log staircase to one of those floating platforms to go and see what we could find there In the mean time we had a chat about the game and it was fun altogether! Thanks for playing that night guys!

Moving around on deck must be made safer

This is one of the ships I use in survival. I simply use a stone extension of the hull, which only costs less than 5 minutes of mining stone You can use this type of hull on nearly every ship, just make it the first thing you place and then make the rest in the middle with a deck area in between. For the middle section you can make whatever you need, a storage unit, just a simple cabin like this ship or a passenger cabin. One of the drawbacks of this is that you can get launched over the front part because it's angled on the inside. If you want to prevent this you should make the inside of the hull extension straight up -
I've got another request: Can we have either a new tool or the ability to switch modes on the shovel so we can smoothen land like we can with the terraformer or in the editor? I'm trying to make nice gravel roads but currently I can flatten up to a certain amount, after that I have to use the axe/pickaxe to do manual finishing which is a load of work!

One thing I'd like to see added to the important fix list is the ships/cars corrupting in the editor saves. Blocks un-paint, un-move, and un-delete themselves. This severely limits the editor usability at the moment. And a request for parts/feedback on the first iteration of the barrier: can we please have large doors, 4x10 and 5x12 size so we can make garage doors that can fit our cars. Please make sure they still look okay when flipped to make double doors of course Currently you can lock cars, but can't prevent them getting destroyed. It would be nice to store them safe inside our garage/house And while you're there I'd like to see a 4x4 gate (so we can extend the door height, but it would also make a nice trunk door on cars). Also some normal height 4 wide doors for houses and ships would be nice, or maybe they could be 7 or 8 blocks high. Adrie

I'm quite sure someone already touched this topic somewhere else but search wouldn't let me find it, but I feel that the current electric wires aren't really that good looking. On the new cars they emerge outside the body, then move kinda inside the model. Same happens around houses and boats. Wouldn't it be nice to have a dedicated Energy helmet which would make the energy streams visible? And without wearing it nobody would be able to see the flows? Yet you would still be able to manipulate them ofcourse This way we can clean up a lot of our models and not having to bother looping loads of electricity through walls and other hidden areas. Adrie

Any update on this? This happens with literally every ship/car I make, and the more I start to drag and copy/paste the vehicle itself the worse it becomes. It's nearly at the point where the editor is useless to make any vehicles at all. Everytime I test/play my island or simply close the map and open it again I find that half my work is undone, or worse, the things that I moved/deleted have duplicated themselves in the original place and I can find all the double blocks. -
I'd like to see vending machines that can do trades, so we can set up shops/stores on multiplayer. This way we can have more of a community on our servers. It would be nice if there would be more coins as well (iron and copper) which should be smeltable to obtain ingots again. Also the option to accept multiple payments (maybe a price in gold, copper, iron or maybe you're looking for a specific item?).

RESOLVED [YLD-7302] Armchair model collision box

The current armchair collision box model seems far larger than the actual chair, leading to weird situations: Even after moving the chair a little bit further I still wasn't been able to pass. After moving it to it's final position I was able to pass : I also checked it without the painting at that location, to make sure it wasn't the painting or the combination of the 2 blocks.
