    Instant Transport

    I would like to request an option for admin players to have some way to instantly transport to another island. I often find myself stuck at spawn because if I am off somewhere else playing, I can't get back there quickly enough. And spawn is the usual trouble spot, though not always. There should be a way for players with privileges in the 900 range to be able to instantly transport to another island.

  6. "And the fact that you can't easily tell is a design problem." - Me Here is how the game mechanic works on this as far as I know from a player perspective. On the public servers there is no PVE option. None. You are at the mercy of whoever else is using the server. Since this guy was banned, he was on a private server. Obviously not set to PVE. There could be game play reasons for this, or they could have been using an old map. The server I admin is strictly PVE. It is built that way from the beginning. You can't harm another player's avatar. You can still steal, break, generally be obnoxious. I agree (and have stated on numerous threads) that it should be immediately obvious to anyone entering the game. There is a design problem here that it isn't.

    Um. I was going to try. And I may still. But the logics in the update are even more confusing than in the old editor interface.

  11. PVP implies that both players are actively playing. When one is killed while they are offline, it's hardly player vs player. It's cowardice. As I stated above, if you don't know which it is (and the fact that you can't easilt tell is a design problem) there are non-lethal ways to test. We have OP's word that he stashed tge loot in the ocean (?) so it should still be there. But we don't really know that, do we?
  12. No, in my case it was a game function that caused the death. I did not swing at my friend wondering if he was armed and would in fact kick my ass.
  13. Well.... I accidentally killed a friend, he had just arrived in his undies. I had a sabre in my hand. I tried to trade with him and sometimes when you come out of the trade window, your character swings. Yikes! I now make it a habit to not have a weapon in hand if near a friend and no reason for being armed.

    Do mutated Animals respawn?

    I haven't tried it with mutants yet, but in a private game I had an unkillable panther who respawned. So I am going to try using this idea for mutants repopulation in the caves: in editor make a mutant both unkillable and harmless (cuz it would be just wrong to dump an unkillable murder machine in a public place) I am thinking this will keep the mutant population viable for new players.

    Dislike PVP?

    I think PVP definitely has it's place in a game like this. In fact, it could be a fun challenge. My vision of that is: getting together with friends, lets say in two teams of four. With some prep time allowed, let's say two in game days, for the teams to get prepped. Then the game begins and hunting down and killing your enemies would be the next stage. Or it could be a free for all, every player for themselves. If I kill you, you are now on my team. In both cases, the winner would be the team with the most players. But what happens out in the wild, is you have some people who are playing PVP and the others are not. Often, you have players, heavily armed and ready, taking out newbs in the dark who are unarmed and still in their underwear. That's not PVP. That's cowardice, bullying and bad sportsmanship. That is what I am against. I would like to see on all servers, public and private, clear labeling. PVE or PVP. The devs have made great progress in allowing the game to be set PVE at the start. This protects players from physical attack. But not the other forms of griefing. There need to be a few clearly labeled PVE official servers.

    All of the official explore servers are PVP. But that won't get you past the barrier issue. I guess you need to find players who want to play in that style and just not use the barriers.
  25. In my time playing the game, the servers are wiped and new maps are generated with updates. Sorry you weren't warned so you could try to blueprint your stuff.
