RESOLVED Game crashing when I click Login
Berzeger replied to Gagabou's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
We are currently trying to solve this issue with Avast. What seems to work is to uninstall the game, disable Avast protection, install the game and then run it - still with Avast disabled. It is important to even install it with Avast disabled. I'm sorry for the inconvenience - we are figuring out a fix. -

Is it possible that you use Avast? -
Also, are you by any chance using 1366 * 768 or 1360 * 768 resolution?

RESOLVED Stuck on Downloading new launcher.
Berzeger replied to RomanRichter's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Hi, I'm sorry you're having issues with the launcher. Can you please tell us what country/region are you from? It looks like our content delivery network servers do not respond to you for some reason. -

Thanks for the log, I'll take a look at it. -
That's actually an idea that has been in my mind for some time now, I'll try to do it in the next patch/update.

Thanks for the log, we'll fix the issue and let you know here.

I guess I have to start a new survival world

Hi, could you in the meantime please send us the corrupted save files? You should be able to easily find them in your Documents folder. -
Or what we really look like.
-
Great! Glad you guys can finally play the game.

We managed to find the issue and finally fixed it. You can download the new launcher at http://download.ylands.com/Ylands_setup.exe. Please let us know if it solves your issue and thank you very much for your patience.

That last log is actually very helpful, thank you! I will let you know as soon as the issue is solved.

No change? Still nothing? Did the launcher run, update itself and then not launch again?
-
Thanks, eldr0n!

I made another build available at the same URL (http://dev.vondrasek.net/ylands/Ylands_setup.exe). I did some changes and tried different build settings. Could you please try it out and send logs again? That would be very helpful, thank you very much!

Thanks for the log, now I can see at least the area where the crash happens. I'll see what I can do about it. Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll try to fix it ASAP.

I have created a new build of the setup and uploaded it to my FTP (before it appears on the main website), you can download it here: http://dev.vondrasek.net/ylands/Ylands_setup.exe I made some minor changes and also increased the number of debug logs. If it still doesn't launch, please send us the log files again, hopefully they will tell us more now. Thank you for your patience!

I am very sorry for the problems you are having. Right now I'm preparing a build that will tell us more about where the problem might lie. I have so far been unable to reproduce it on 4 differents PCs, so hopefully this new version will help us find the issue. I will let you guys know when it's ready to download.

Also, is it possible that you have Xampp and/or Windows 10 SDK Debugger installed? These two might interfere with our OpenSSL binaries.
-
If not even that helps - Can you think of any unusual configuration you might have? Could the installer file be corrupt? Can try downloading it again? Do you have access to a different computer? Try downloading from there and try to install on that machine - at least see if the launcher starts up. If that works, put that copy on a USB stick and take to your machine.
-
If neither of these help, you might want to white-list the Ylands/Launcher folder in your antivirus software, we have seen some reports of AVs falsely reporting some Qt5 dlls as positives.
-
If restart doesn't do the magic, you might want to try to run the game as admin (right click on the shortcut, Run as administrator). The game doesn't need admin rights, but it could help.
-
Also, this might be a stupid question - but did you try to restart your PC? Thanks for the file!
-
Could you please run dxdiag (Windows Key + R, type dxdiag, click OK), click on Save All Information and attach the output file here? Sorry for the troubles.

Thanks for the logs! Do you get the same error as Vaermi? Qt5WebEngineCore.dll, Appcrash, etc.?
