OMG you are adding Takahe birds which are endemic to my country, I am crying with happiness! 😭 We thought they went extinct and are fighting to bring their population numbers back up, so this is extremely beautiful to see them represented in my favourite game! 🥰 I am going to make sure they never go extinct on my Ylands that's for sure. Make sure to send an ingame message to the Devs so they can investigate your logs, if you haven't done so already. It's a known issue, I've encountered it myself, hopefully it gets fixed in the next update 🤞 -

Love the extra inventory containers and also love that they'll make great decorations for our builds too! -
I think you are trying to place it outside of the build limit for the primitive ship, it looks like you have made an extra platform off the back of it. Unfortunately if you built it in editor it doesn't stop you from building past this limit so when you bring it into adventure mode you can't place new stuff that far away from the hull. If you take it back into editor and make the changes you want and then update the blueprint then it will work though.

I believe I've seen you ask in the discord group where I answered but I will answer again in case it helps someone else who happens to be searching in the forums. The dlc unlocks all regions of adventure mode instantly. You just start the game and click adventure mode from main menu. Without the dlc you can still play adventure mode for free but you have to grind resources and points to unlock the regions one at a time so it takes much longer to progress.

RESOLVED Mark I Armor quest - The Key does not match the lock

Hi Anna, it seems other players are still having issues with this, the submarine keys are not working on the Mark I armor encounters. Not sure if they have made bug reports or not but it's been brought up on the discord today. When was the fix for the keys implemented? I saw someone successfully obtain all of the pieces on July 12th but then another person reported issues with the submarine key on discord September 12th, similar time to the reports here, and now October 4th someone is still encountering it on a new map. -
Did we skip patch 2.1.3?

You need to put the ship into construction/edit mode first by holding Q while looking at the helm. If you join the Official Ylands Discord you can get answers to questions a lot faster usually than here, much bigger active community over there!

Sorry to Rez an old post, just reminiscing on old times playing in your original server way back when. Hope you have been well. I'm curious if you have ever returned back to Ylands after all these years? So much has changed (mostly for the better!). -
If we were able to have some basic scripting from editor allowed into adventure mode, I'd love to see blueprints of displays that act like the ones in the Fortress Library mystery yland where they show a silhouette of the weapon and you can interact with it simply by right-clicking to place that item into the display and then take it back out again if needed.

I believe I've seen others have this issue before and it turns out there are 2 versions of the seed, one obtained from a slightly different variant of the tree possibly? I might be misremembering though.- 3 replies

It is a highly requested feature and the Devs are definitely wanting to implement it eventually. It might just take some more time before they can.

1. Yes, you must first place the ship into construction/edit mode and use a Demolition Hammer or right click while in free-place mode to remove everything on the ship before you can then deconstruct the ship hull itself. 2. Yes, as above, use a Demolition Hammer or right click while in free-place mode to deconstruct items, workstations, furniture and blocks. This doesn't work on things in random encounters though so you can't demolish a traders house for example!

Most resources only spawn in as deposits, those lumps that you dig at with your pick. If you are lucky you will also find some ore underneath those deposits which you can dig out of the ground itself but this happens only in the big chambers at the end of the cave tunnels. If you hold your pick and look at the ground it will tell you if it is just dirt or if it is an ore like clay or iron. You can see how the ground is a different colour underneath these clay deposits than the surrounding dirt/sand in this screenshot, that is more clay ore that can be dug up with your pick.

Suggestion: Ability to keep the shape of the bushes

As Jarda says, the blueprint saves the shape of plants so grab out your Blueprint Camera and take a snap of all the plants you want and then you can place them exactly how you like and all you need to do is enter the correct seed into the blueprint station and wait for it to grow. -

That's odd, I am fairly certain that you stay in first person when you aim with a two-handed weapon. What weapon are you using?

What about things like food and potions that have a description and list of effects they have like cold/heat resist and strength bonuses? I guess that could get added as a small caption underneath the icon or new symbols under the stats section I suppose. I have to say I probably use that eye icon the most out of everyone, considering 90% of the wiki icons have come from the 3D preview there 😅 I'm in the process of making new icons using the editor instead now that I've sort of got used to it though

I'd say as long as there's an option to sort alphabetically and maybe have it prioritise the inventory containers so they sort first at the top it would still be an improvement and probably work for the majority of players. The main reasons I want the sort feature is to organise within the inventory containers themselves, to get rid of any empty spaces and to condense stacks. An auto-deposit feature which can take items from the inventory and add them to their respective inventory containers would be handy too. It's frustrating dragging things one by one into their inventory containers, especially when it only takes a partial stack and leaves some in the inventory so you have to drag it in a second time.
