Dev Diary #126 - Basic Shapes Tool

Recommended Posts

Hey there Ylanders!

You might have seen the Major General braving the jungle to find some ancient buildings made with basic shapes. Well these were made using the new Basic Shapes Tool and man is it fun to play around with ?

It’s really simple to use. You choose your material (and there is a big selection of those…even chocolate blocks!) and then you choose the desired shape: Pyramid, Cube or Cylinder. After that, you can click on your desired location and drag around the mouse to get the right size. Then you click again and get your height. And you’re done!

But there are more ways to customise your shapes. You can also choose, which walls (when making a cube) you want to keep, or if you want a roof and floor. You can also play around with the cube thickness, row offset and pattern layout.

There really will be loads of possibilities and building all kinds of structures will become easy-breezy ?

And that’s all for today, so stay classy, but most importantly, stay safe Ylanders.

Wait.. wait... are you telling that I will be able to place a cylinder like in blender modelling? Like just place it and choose the size, radius?
