Those are all very good suggestions!

-After deleting an Island in most cases it's impossible to land on the rebuilt island. For your bug, what do you mean? Is the new map not loading? Or what is happening? Also, they usually want output logs to figure out what is going on.
"How to restart whole Exploration? (Reinstalling do not help - what should I delete?)"
For this, I think you want the last button in the menu (gear icon):

For the record, I just thought of demo-hammering it so I could take all the parts with me, since the car itself couldn't travel to a new map.
You brought up the idea of using a blueprint. ?

Did you mean 19 April? ?
Thank you for all the bug fixes!
We were hoping for a larger change (more than +6 seconds) to the propeller pack with this patch. Is it planned for later? If so, what is the plan?

From Yo_has: It would be nice if we could rename local maps while we are in them. How it works now is, you need to sail to a different local map before you can change the name.

?It worked on sticks for me. I haven't tried it on everything yet. I will look into the limitations and write them down somewhere, probably the wiki.
8 hours ago, bojo2736 said:And while we are dreaming, can we get the marks out of the glass and just have clear?
Yes! 100%
8 hours ago, bojo2736 said:One of the biggest being that they don't take color like the other blocks. It's tough to get uniform colors with them.
Spirit thought they fixed this... maybe it was just for the stone blocks vs other blocks. If it isn't fixed, we can bug them again.
8 hours ago, bojo2736 said:Speaking of painting, please add the ability to paint from within the build workbench.
Long ages ago, ice blocks were clear, and I used them all the time. Now they are opaque and pretty much useless. Please, can we get them back to clear?
The crafting menu. Oy. It used to be that if you want to craft wooden beam, you could search in the craft menu and it would come up. Then if you want to craft a different piece of the same type, when you opened the menu it was where you left it. Several updates ago, this was changed. It may be that there is a reason for that. But can we get some way to sort? Maybe a favorites folder. Or build swatches.
As I mentioned in another post: Lighting controls. It seems like it has been improve with the new update, it's still problematic. We need more options, and also a way to effect dimness / brightness/ maybe even light color.
These would all be so amazing!

I know the backs of some carpets are a single color. I didn't think of using them as wallpaper. Great idea! Hopefully they add more carpets!

I wouldn't wait until 1.7. ?
For some places in the Locusts, we had sets of fur gear in a couple of chests for visitors, so they didn't freeze to death. Maybe we could do that too if you choose polar.
21 minutes ago, Deadeye_Rob said:To counter this I think some polite signs around the docks requesting visitors despawn their ships when disembarking would suffice?
I think this should be sufficient.

Sorry I didn't respond to this one earlier. I didn't have any ideas to help.
Hopefully @Nikki Severin can help you with this one and:

Besides the infested golems, the other animals/mutants are super easy. I recommend a zirconium sword and maybe making a little hill with some dirt to provide some cover, if you are having trouble. The infested golems are supposed to be one of the hardest animals in the game, so I hope they don't nerf them as well ?.
As Spirit said, the Ylands team is already working on extending the propeller pack time. And you can blame Spirit (and players like him) for the nerf in the first place ?
For the coal, is it literally too close in color, or is it the lack of light?
In case you don't want to go searching for the info:
For the Microsoft version, the output logs should be in C:\Users\ (the user name that installed Ylands) \AppData\Local\Packages\BohemiaInteractivea.s.Ylands_ezkh2j9f9meea\TempState
For the Steam version, they are in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ylands\Ylands_Data
Both output_log.txt and output_log_clean.txt should be sent.
When you start the game, it overwrites the logs, so try to remember to copy them before you restart the game
The output logs tell the devs what happened in your game, so hopefully with that info, they will be able to fix errors like no death pile.

This sounds super frustrating, Lady_whynot. I know certain islands with a lot of blocks made my animals disappear. But that isn't really a solution.
Hopefully, the Ylands team is able to use your output logs to figure out a good fix!

I agree with this 100%. Having more than 2 ships within the render-zone starts being laggy for most people. You can definitely have space for 4 ships, but I hope they don't actually put 4 at once.
Maybe your port could lead to a trail/ simple road that leads to the NPC shops a bit farther away.
About the polar biome, it is up to you. I don't know if clearcutting an area from a different biome will help or not ?

They also disappeared on my steamship (made with a blueprint captured on a legacy map, if that matters too). And they disappeared on a "large ship" in a player-made map, no blueprints involved. I only get this bug when things are planted in the pots.

oh. We thought this was already in the system. https://ylands.fandom.com/wiki/Flower_Pot These are the ones disappearing. We sent lots of reports about it already...

For the record, I hope everyone disagrees with me and thinks their computers can handle it.

But having bigger maps isn't needed for bigger islands. Just have less sea... and maybe only 1 big island on the map instead of 4 ?
My computer is fine btw, but we can't demand everyone get a RAM upgrade like Spirit did.

I agree. I really thought the big maps were super unstable. I would rather have small maps that are stable than big maps that most computers can't handle. Exploration is unlimited in size because of how many islands are possible, but some computers can only handle rendering a bit at a time, so I actually appreciated the small maps.

1 hour ago, bojo2736 said:Please, please, bring back the more jagged islands, with the high spot in the middle, and the old style death caves.
Hi bojo, we asked about this in the Q&A and they are going to ask the cave/topology designer what is possible. They are worried if the caves are too uneven, the AI will get super confused, but they will try to push this with the Custom Scenario handmade islands, so the players still get interesting handmade caves.
1 hour ago, bojo2736 said:Also, looking at that picture it reminds me of something I meant to write about. The lighting situation. Is it possible to not have the light "stack" one work station is fine. Try to use two or more and it's the brightness of the sun. Same with lanterns and really any light source.
This is a great question and I will make sure it gets included in the next Q&A if Aleš doesn't respond here. I know they plan on reworking the lighting from the torches, but I think that is to increase the lighting so we can see in caves, etc.
1 hour ago, bojo2736 said:We used to have some subtle options (glowing mushrooms and clear ice blocks to diffuse the light) but those got nerfed along the way. I often design builds with light and shadow in mind. It's impossible in the game as it is.
What about blue or yellow crystals? Or even red/ylandium if you want to go that direction?

Is there any way to change this so I can update the co-op settings even when no one is on the server? I need to change it from the server menu, meaning I can't be on the server myself. Also, it acts like everyone goes back to "visitor" after I set it up and everyone logs off for the night (hopefully that isn't actually happening).

When exploring new single-player maps in Exploration, about half the time I didn't see any Random Encounters on the islands or see anything on my handheld compass (2 out of 4 maps tried). I actually brought up doing this to make it feel more like Exploration, but I knew it was going to be super unpopular. Was this intended or is it some sort of bug?
Some others also experienced this too:

@kimbuck I don't think NPCs can kill each other. I hope there is something in your output logs that can help the Devs figure out where they went.
@spiritchaser28 I tested and visitors can kill animals/players, so I think they can kill vendors too. I can test it with you later if you want to double-check.

I personally hope they make it much longer, at least twice as long (30 sec), but a few minutes would also be excellent.
This would be fantastic!
They are actually already planning this. You can hear about it in the 3rd Q&A with Aleš:
