Is the map a Legacy Exploration map? I seem to have the same issue with exiting them. Shows it is saving but the game does not exit to main screen and I have to hard close it with task manager. I only use the legacy maps for making blueprints from editor. ...however I can load the game directly from editor. -

Apparently it's not just the seats that are missing the 3rd color option. Notice the front car parts and front masks. These should all be the same red as the engines and drivers seat. -

Protective barriers are now just broken artifacts from the past. If you find one, it should go in a display case in a museum. Since they did away with the protective barrier system, it is just as Nico said above. You can set privileges for friends and visitors, decide who can make blueprints and build and modify terrain in multiplayer settings. I think I am gonna turn my protective barrier into an espresso machine -

@ocnoglittle I remember when you used the code to generate that image. (And I remember when it broke the server LOL) I have resisted for a while to learn any scripting aspects of the game.....but after seeing some of @movefish's images above. (those are fantastic by the way movefish!!!) I think it's time to stop fighting the urge to resist learning this aspect of editor. If you get a free moment, I'd like to learn the basics. Any links and tutorials you can send me in discord would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Gonna go see if I can learn anything about this from Naru's videos....I have a feeling I will be rewinding a lot to catch everything he says. You know me, I mainly like to build things in editor, but I think if I learn this aspect of editor that I have been resisting it may help improve my building skills, and maybe help me discover different ways of doing things. -

Personally I do not play games on phones. Even the high end phones have limitations as to what they can do, so I don't know the answers to some of your questions.....however one thing I do know is they are working towards addressing some of the concerns you have. With a game that is so memory intense even on high end computers I would think it's a daunting task to try to translate that gaming experience to mobile. I'm sure it's a slow process that requires outside the box sort of thinking for the devs. Anyhow, I was quite surprised when I learned that exploration DLC is now available for phones. I am positive it's not the same full experience you would get from playing it on PC, but it's a small step in the right direction. One of your questions was I knew when they introduced ore deposits in the game that this feature was specifically geared towards people that play on mobile devices. It's not the same thing as terrain modification on computers but it does allow mobile users to have better access to the resources they desire, and since exploration is now available this also addresses the desire to sail to new islands.....as for planting crops.....Not sure what they are planning as an alternative on mobile devices but since they have taken these small steps I would think the devs are trying to work on a solution that works for mobile.....Again, small steps in the right direction. I would also like to know what specs are needed to play on mobile phones even though I never plan on playing games anytime soon on a phone, and it would be nice to see what sort of roadmap they have got planned for the future of mobile gaming. People ask me questions about the game all the time when I am in multiplayer rooms. New players always have a ton of questions and I am glad to help them within the limits of my skillset. Ask me about crafting something, where to find things, building tips and tricks, I generally have an answer....ask me about scripting my answer is usually "I know someone who may know that answer" LOL. We all have our skillsets. Since the last update I have ran into more people playing on mobile...and if they have questions about the mobile version, that's when I can say "I really don't know the answer, and I don't know many people to ask about it except @Nikki Severin and Ales. ( because they know people directly that do have the answers haha) I tagged you Nikki because you are awesome at answering questions, and these specific questions are things that more people are asking about. I personally only want to know the answers so I can give some answers to the people that ask. Thanks in advance -

Dang well it was worth a shot. The devs get back Monday. I know you are not the first person that had this happen. Hopefully they will solve it and the hotfix will be soon. In the meantime if you want to build another ship, I have plenty of resources to build with You can add me as a friend in game (Same name) -

There was only one recently played game? On the right if you click load more there should be more unless you are a brand new player or deleted all the old games -

I have an audio bug now as well but only when the game lags a bit. When it lags i get the machine gun type sound (not really a machine gun, but if something like cricketss are playing it's like machine gun cricket sounds, if it's propeller pack it's a machine gun propeller sound) ....It's like the audio stutters to the sound being played if that makes sense. I thought I had solved the issue because after the last windows update it changed one of my sound settings, but alas it did not solve it. This is another reason I think the sound files should be included in the installation to be locally stored on people's personal computers. It would greatly reduce any audio lag issues in my opinion. For now I got the sound turned down and am just gonna play my mp3s instead of listening to it. -
I've not tried this map yet, but I am glad there are some puzzles. Gonna have to take a look at it.

Personally I no longer have a facebook account. Been years since I used it, BUT I do remember my mom sending me a bunch of messages once that had links to some gambling site. She never sent them so obviously somebody hacked her and was able to send it through her messages. All her friends and relatives got spam bombed. One of the reasons I left facebook was there were too many weird security issues they never fixed.

Hmm usually only takes me a couple hours to get one from starting with nothing. Never saw it as an endgame tool because I never saw the game as having any real ending. One of the main focuses for the last few updates was to be able to constantly add new random encounters and new custom made maps without us having to download new updates. They pretty much achieved that goal now. If your map has been totally explored you do not need to delete all your progress, you can simply delete a map that you no longer wish to explore and a new one with the possibility of new encounters will appear in it's place. Naru is working on an encounter that should be out very soon before the next update hits. (Hopefully..I still want my pots and ladels haha) The prospect of the world constantly changing with a steady stream of new encounters got me the most excited about the exploration updates they have been releasing. I do agree with your points earlier that it took a long time and they focused most their efforts on editor and playlands for too long....but they are pretty much done with adding things there with the exception of a few tweaks here and there. There really isn't much more they can do to make editor better aside from giving us more assets to play with, and many of those assets will be introduced in exploration, along with the ability to edit your exploration maps and make custom islands of your own that may be able to be seen by everybody through their competitions and eventually be part of the overall game for everyone. -

Actually quite a few of us commented it was way to powerful. And they listened. Sort of the point of nerfing the propeller pack. I agree with this, but I would also like to see more items made with zirconium. A zirconium propeller pack that lasts longer, maybe some zirconium engines that are faster, etc. I have only heard the old music in youtube vids, but I quite liked it. I also enjoy the new music. I don't think anybody quit the game because of the music. It's all pretty great. This is a good idea! Or at the very least just have the compass at the top right whenever it's in your inventory instead of having to equip it all the time. to use it. I Know they are working on several quality of life improvements for 1.8. I'd like to see them work more on the maps as well. Crafting a map is a good idea. If players do not want to use the map feature, then they just don't have to craft it. This was also brought up in the last live stream. A few things may improve a little regarding this in 1.8 hopefully, but it has been mentioned that they are going to do an energy update sometime in the future after 1.8. I think before that they may concentrate some updates on Animal and vehicle transport, pack animals, and some sort of ship and creature type of update. People have been begging for sharks and sea creatures and birds and more mythical creatures. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes they make in the future. I love the fact they can now add random encounters and more custom scenario mystery islands without really requiring us to update the program, so now exploration can always bring something new to find and surprise us. Another thing discussed a bit in the last stream was flying vehicles such as hot air balloons and zeppelins. They want to implement this in the future but before it is done they mentioned it would be best to do after they have implemented some dangers in the sky as well, such as flying monsters and NPC's with ranged attacks etc. Not sure how long this will take but it's also something they say they are working on. I imagine it will take a bit of time since there are so many things to take into consideration and lots of work before they would allow it. Things like animations, designs, down to more complicated tasks like NPC AI and mundane things like assigning toughness and damage to the vehicles, monsters, etc. Ales mentioned in a previous stream they have figured out a way for the maps to be much larger. I hope this will come into play in 1.8. They just did a lot of work on topography so now we can see things like mountains again, they aren't as jagged as they used to be but this had more to do with NPC and AI pathfinding than anything else. Monsters and animals would get stuck in places....the more they improve on that sort of thing, I expect the more we will begin to see more rugged terrain, larger maps and smarter monsters. By nature I am a very patient person, and this game is something that always appeals to that patience in me, whether it be crafting items, or slowly building some monumental house or ship, or planning the things I need to take with me before I go spelunking into that cave. I am constantly excited about the changes they make to the game, and those changes also require that sort of patience. I'm happy that I have to wait for them to get their updates to the point of where the update is quite good and working correctly rather than getting fast updates with so many bugs and glitches that cause more problems than they solve. That sort of patience has proven to me that the rewards of waiting for a great update have not let me down. -

Well I hate to hear you lost your ship. I can help you build another fast if you want. I have plenty of resources . And even if you have a blueprint that costs thousands of logs, glass, stone, etc I can usually fill a blueprint in a few minutes. Ask @NICO14973. Just helped him make his ship. Didn't take long at all. -

There really should be a small tutorial about this in the game. A lot of people do get confused about it. Or perhaps a link in the game that takes you to a forum page with different tutorials. Just a thought. -

My only gripe about the menu is the icons are a little too transparent I think the main crafting menu should be full color, and the things you cannot craft and required materials should be transparent.
