I am not concerned about griefers... .. a) if they do attack my base and cause grief, they will identify themselves for future banning, b) With the 0.7 update on the horizon... any damage is inconsequential ...i assume the server and this Yland i am on will be reset and we start again Meanwhile i am having fun fun fun honing my building "skills" (?)

The firs time i arrive i harvest enough food for me to survive 3 Yland says... and then another small amount to plant around my base area. When i forage i don't take all the resources ... just a sample to use and to replant. You can see where my base is ...it is surrounded by useful flora... trees crops grasses and flowers.. my only concern is that someone might turn up and take the lot!

Grrrrr ... my other half just asked me if the update will include a last minute addition "for bigger female B....'s ". I hope instead there will be an Alchemy recipe for a silencing meddling partners. ( Oh and he says he was NOT the wolf who stole my skirt...) like ... yeah!

I use the tactic of moving into open ground slightly higher than the wolf and wait until it attacks me ... 2 swipes and you got him. If you attack them near rocks and trees etc you can break your sword, and if near grass or ferns etc it will deflect your blows. Try these tactics until the fixes arrive

Sometimes during a skirmish with a bear/puma etc you can suffer clothing damage and it disappears from inventory. I once encountered a perverted wolf who stole my skirt! Still looking for that cross dressing thief ..probably the same one that stole my car!

wowsers .. that's clever ... you could actually build a house without windows first ... then add the window panels outside later regarding storage ... would it be safer to have all your chests etc in the center of the building... with the PB on a table in the middle?

The floating / spawning sharks have been fixed to a degree in recent updates ... what version on Ylands are you using? I haven't encountered it since the last update ..but I do see sometimes sharks stuck in trees or floating over land.. they make great shark meat meals! They will attack you in your ship if they can ... that's why most of us seafarers build barriers around the stern and a buffer between the sharks and the helm.. You can add wooden or steel spikes projecting horizontally from around your ships stern .. that dissuades them a lot Carry an iron spear on your boat ..place it where you can grab it quickly .. but be warned ..killing a shark on your deck ...can sometimes upset the boats stability. Look further back in the bugs thread to see whats being done and how to avoid becoming shark bait

For the record ..i am on a i3 cpu computer with a nvidia gtx750card ..i just kinda meet the min spec. for this game to play it fluidly, but to add to my woes i live in small country town connected to the network on adsl2 via what appears to be wet knotted string, iIt is adequate most days however the mains power supply creeps in on a spur line over some mountainous regions where mating birds, winds, and storms like to play havoc with the power supply! Its not uncommon for me to get offline a hurry because a dirty big thunderstorm is approaching spitting hail and lightning in all directions. Hurry up Ane and Ales .... getting impatient here

@ Wijk etc .. Also the reclaimed land shows on a map as brown and easily to locate when returning with booty after sailing With a house on poles next to a man( person? ) made island with crops and stuff .... you can place a forest of wooden spikes around the shoreline to deter seaborne invaders. And use a door as a drawbridge from a pier to access your house. Whats frustrating me is ..its already 2 Feb here ... just you guys are a day behind me and its sooooooooo frustrating But i don't want to start building or exploring until i can access the new lands after the update .

I wonder if on polar biomes we will find a Yeti NPC ? I already disturbed a zombie who was not friendly on a desert biome Even more interesting ...could we find a "BI Shop " with 2 npc's ...Ales and Ane .... selling items from the shop for coyns? Who needs hype when you have these forums

@ Energritz ... i am getting tempted to join in on your server. What i would like to do is to find a shallow area around a Yland and create a new low level Yland there as an island base, and gradually expand it and re forest it, plant crops etc and eventually connect it via a causeway / roadway to a nearby Yland. Of course, a non- aggressive resident. Just give me time first to get my act together after the 0.7 update

...jumping up and down and waving arms... wheee.!!!. Look for Ales sneak peek #45 thread and be amazed and excited yes NPC's fixes and who knows what else... I believe its called " Cheerful Characters " Unfortunately it will only be for new games started after the update....

Unfortunately for our self appointed policeman / professor / researcher alias griefer, there's a big problem here. .... for him. Blowflies are attracted to Bull$*!# , and he is now sitting in a big pile of it which he created and with every griefer in Ylands queuing up to push his buttons and use every exploit and bug to kick over his sandcastles wherever he hides in Ylands. He has admitted his actions and had made himself unwelcome on many pvte servers should he be identified. He will also be targeted by others of his ilk who are looking for something to get their jollies off on. Whose to blame? Well, one guess will be that he will blame the developers etc...

Ahzz .... You missed one major point : it is a public server, you do not own it nor have the right to police it. its there for all to use. If griefers etc are annoying you, well whats the difference between a griefer and your actions? Your attempts to justify your actions just does not "cut the mustard" as they say. Its not your server, and your self crafted tin sheriffs badge does NOT make you the guardian of the galaxy. Over and out, mission control. All is said .

Ane ( and others ) you apparently do not know my rl gender... but when i catch my husband again fiddling with my avatar when i am away from the keyboard, and placing it in embarrassing positions when i have to 'go somewhere" in real life, you will appreciate the trials and tests endured when married to a prankster that's equally crazy And if this avatar ever asks for new female avatars, especially ones with large breasts, you can expect to hear the screams and thuds where you are when i find out he has been at my keyboard again Roll onwards to 0.7!
