Greetings, ylanders!
If you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook (and if you don't - shame on you! You won't find GIFs with more personality in any other part of the Internet! Also, you'll be informed of all the development news) you probably already know by now that Ylands has been chosen to be part of the Made with Unity Showcase at Unite 16. Unite is the annual conference where thousands of Unity developers, game publishers, and press gather to...
Hi there, ylanders!
As you know the following update will be centered around the Editor. One of the main features will be the ability to start editing in a completely empty world, with nothing at all in it (it will be as empty as my fridge on a regular Sunday evening). You'll be able to start building the terrain from scratch and let your imagination go from there, so that the world you create truly belongs to you. For example, our programmer Lukáš created this...

Wicked Woodsman - 01/09/2016
You can now provide us with your feedback about Ylands directly from the game! You can evaluate the current update's fun, performance and visuals in just 3 clicks (only once per update!) or include more info in the advanced tab. You can even report bugs directly there if you don't feel like going all the way to the forum - if you provide us with your email address (up to you), we'll make sure we get back to...

Fixed Forge workstation not being able to be used
Fixed issue where sometimes the game, after regaining focus, became unresponsive to player's input
Hi there, Miguel ()!
You're right, there is such category in the Creator Cube, but not in the regular inventory. Thank you for the suggestion, we'll take it into account
Dear ylanders,
With the upcoming update being just around the corner (the corner being next week *subtle*), we are finalizing and polishing the big features related to the Wicked Woodsman and going over nasty bugs that for some reason keep coming back to us.
Our brainstorming sessions have increased a 10000%, where we try to come up with ideas of how to make you players suffer as much as possible in the new tutorial yland. Hmm, did I...
I'm sorry to hear that! I'm glad you managed to fix it on your own, nevertheless we'll take a look and see where the issue lies.
Enjoy the game, Herr Vaermi!
And don't hesitate to let us know in case you encounter any other issue.

Update 11/08/2016
Version 0.15.21872
New way of login and account creation: the login fields are gone and in their place is just a "LOGIN" button that takes you to the standard BI login webpage with the ability to sign up and in through Steam, Facebook, Twitter and G+ (login through via Bohemia Account username/password combination is still possible)
Ahoj, my dear ylanders!
We've already mentioned a couple of times that we're working on evolving into masters of the forest (by chopping down trees and setting traps), but those are not the only things that are keeping us busy at the moment. Because we know first impressions are crucial, we decided to give the Tutorial yland a facelift. I managed to steal this first sketch from our artist Kuba, who is now using his magic to make it into an actual playable...
Heya!
Another week, another chance to talk about what's going on in our air-conditioned cave right now!
Last time we mentioned we are working on explosives, today I thought it might be cool to show you how throwing an explosive (or anything else) with the catapult looks like.
No one expects the explosive ostrich attack! (not even the ostrich itself)
At the same time, we have started putting our efforts into making the fist person camera...
CHANGELOG
Wild West - 28/06/2016
Before this update we were able to shoot just with bows, but from now on we'll have a wide range of long-distance weapons to choose from - crossbows, handguns, rifles, shotguns, you name it! Just make sure the ammo is in your inventory and you're good to go (using the ammo from the creator cube will make it into infinite ammo - Hershel from The Walking Dead would approve!). For those who are not experts in the...

Update 07/07/2016
Version 0.14.21143
Two scenarios added: Wild West and Ylander Jones (please note that they can be removed the same way as user-created scenarios. Possibility of just hiding them will be avilable in the next update)
Aiming/firing improved for all weapons
Fixed issues where aiming crosshair didn't work properly
Updated GUI visuals (some parts are still work In progress)
[Editor] Trigger zones now have green, more transparent...
Thank you for taking the time to write all of these down, we'll make sure to address them as soon as possible
At least if the horse would really look like a ghost that would be pretty badass
We mentioned possibly making the Ylander Jones scenario available for everyone to play in the 0.14 update. Sadly it wasn't possible to have it ready by today, but we'll be releasing a patch that will include this scenario in the following days
Oh, I see! I thought you meant you couldn't craft any item once you were in the Crafting tab.
In that case, could you please send us your output_log file? This should be in the directory \Program Files\Ylands\Game\Ylands_Data.
Thanks!

Armored Appearance - 17/05/2016
The game now uses a mesh combining technique with its building blocks (such as stone blocks, brick blocks and many others). Before mesh combining, when the game wanted to draw a building consisting of 500 blocks, the CPU was telling the graphics card: "Render this block. When you're done, render this block. Then this block." That had to repeat 500 times. Now, the CPU tells the graphics card:...
