Hmm good dev diary It seems to me you are working on the stuff players ask most about! When talking with people I feel their biggest gripes are: 1) A lack of players in mutliplayer 2) Multiplayer lag and resets 3) Small servers (8 max) Most people I talk to think the single player game is good. I think its great. I have a feeling once servers are fixed the desire for players to run off will reduce but players will still run off for lack of players right now (oh the irony). I will do my best to catch these newbies and make them feel part of a community so they dont run off. Please @Aleš Ulm, don't be angry with my frankness I think the emphasis on gold rush was a mistake. I love mini-games and I'm really playing this game to make and engage in City role-play games but most players are not like that at all. The kind of people ylands attracts from its marketing are people that are very relaxed and chill. These kind of people have no interest in minigames. When they see the excessive emphasis on these kind of games, they misunderstand what multiplayer is about and it causes some percentage of them to leave without giving it a second chance. This game has not yet attracted the younger audience which will be engaged by the PVP style game. I was hoping that P1 could replace the official servers and provide an even better experience for new users seeking to play explore, however, people seem to want to join trusted official servers first. I suggest that we create an interesting system to get players to stick. This is just my random idea: Remove the HUGE number of options for new users joining servers -- too many options and people feel overwhelmed Have only 3-4 official servers where people start, one in each region (hide the rest under "see more"). Start people on different islands to reduce chaos Actually tell new users to seek out private servers that are a bit more well-moderated in loadings screens as a tip: “Want a better new-user experience? Try well-moderated player servers” After they have their initial time on an official server list for them the most active, long-running player servers at the top of the suggested list (remove locked servers from that list). Only show people mini-game banners and such-like after they have played for 20 hours. Allow players to advertise servers in the mini-game banner slot to new users for in-game coyns. In MP Lobby, list servers based on user-votes (weighted with more favor to people who have hours played so spam accounts can mess with it).

Can't wait to see what you guys cook up with these weekly parties -
I wish chat text stayed twice as along as was twice as easy to see. Also make the text larger. This helps when people are speaking to each other who dont know the same language well.

Awww that is what I always wanted it to be -
I would love an on-water-enter event for the event listener. I think you were asking right @Houp ?

That's perfect! Coming in 0.12?

For those still wondering, we got paid the full amount long ago.

Can you point us in the direction of the least recourse intensive to make CTF? Basically, flag pick up, take to zone, capture? We want some sort of indication that a player has the flag. Also, if this is too hard/risky to do now, let me know.

A great story game is free on steam until tomorrow: https://store.steampowered.com/app/278360/A_Story_About_My_Uncle/ @Ane @Houp You might like this one

We might have to work together on something

I would say that anything less than full 1st person camera would be a real disappointment for city roleplay and PVP games. This game is meant to be a game engine so I believe 1st person is essential. If you give us the power to put power-barriers in editor maps and generate multi-biome maps, I could see players creating subnatica-like ocean survival games with quests. Giving us the power to create them would be amazing Keep up the good work! Red

Hi guys! We are making a build from ice but it's still opaque. Any chance we can get it hot-fixed? It's urgent as its for a contest.

@Aleš Ulm - I play mostly mobile games so I was not aware how far AAA games have come in the last decade (I played console 15 years ago). When comparing this game to subnautica I found that other game had a lot more to explore. I realize creating explore-content is likely expressive. How will Ylands push to satisfy gamers looking for MC-style almost-infinite exploration?

Cant set position of player when falling damaged
RedEagle_P1. replied to Oliver Hope's topic in Editor Bugs & Technical Issues
This problem would be easily solved if we could disable the thing where the player crumples when falling from too high. That would be awesome for a lot of game ideas too -
It was see-through before though. I was told it was going to be made see-through again.

I think you lost me on social!

Can you explain this new concept to us?
