Dreadnought 2.0 Laddies and Gentleman, after fixing some issue I have, I would like to introduce you the New Dreadnought! With fresh color that looks elegant and cool will improve your sailing experience to the seven seas! Here you go a picture of it : Workshop asset will be updated soon, make sure to check it out! Don't be shy to post your feedback, I'd like to see you opinion or suggestion about Dreadnought. This ship is heavily made in Editor, and it contain bunch of blocks and objects. It could affect your performance. My potato machine can handle it smoothly tho. Change log Dreadnought 2.0: Fixed some storage doors rotation Fixed blocks that on top of each other at the same place Added New energy systems Added Charging Station Improve mast placement Improve hull shape (back side) Added railing to be more safety while ship still moving Removed cannons, because it feels like we don't need cannons that much Expand the deck for easy moving on top of the ship. Repaint most of the ship with dark blue and white Added more storage Custom walkway on top of the mast and ladder (Note : the ladder is kinda dangerous when you are going down. but going up is no problem)

Aye aye Facts is hurt, but it's what it's.. back to the topic, troubleshooting network problem is kinda finding an ant inside jar of candy, it's possible but you need to look at many factors. This could caused by port that used by another program(could be malware), or simply bad connection at the time( I noticed if you have atleast 3 RTO while playing multiplayer you will get "host unreachable" notification), and many other problems)

hmmh, bricks and some stone blocks have different texture color/shade each side, so that color differences is caused by your rotation. To fix it, you need to replace all in 1 direction or almost same texture color/shade. [Update] My suggestion, never use full colors (ex. full white/full black), so when texture shade is different you can paint that to a bit darker/brighter. Good luck and Have fun!

[Could be a Bug] Weird Size of Ship's Hull Boundary

Hey Devs and Ylanders, something weird happen when I was building my ship in the Editor. I don't know how this happen, I just realized this bug when I try to move my ship with my character in explore mode, and the ship won't turn, only onward and backward. Back at the Editor, click the hull, I saw that the boundary (green square) of the ship is changed, and it's so big (picture number 2). I though it was because I miss click and group objects that far away, but I couldn't even check it, because when I go to farthest point of this green square, it will gone poof because of the distance limit of selected object. And then I check the right click option to see if the hull is really in grouping, but nothing say "group" in there when I only click the hull (picture number 1). Here is my exploration mode save game, where this bug happened. My ship is at another island nearby, when you spawn in from editor you will see fisherman shack nearby. You can follow this angle (picture number 3) to get to my ship's location, it's simply just forward not too long from this angle and the ship is at the beach on another side where you from. For now I can't seems to fix this issue, so I'll just load my old backup. If you guys found another way around please let me know. Thanks in advance. RAGNAR(1).rar -

Wow, never happen to me before, try to select the hull ship, and then rotate it in the editor. How to do that? How to open explore map in Editor, I explain it in my second post there.

As long as you place it one by one directly (not by composition/ custom things outside of vehicle bound) because currently, if you place/make things outside vehicle bound then place it onto your ship, it will just float there(not moving with the ship).

Hey Ylanders! I have issue here while building my ship, I'm trying to make custom stuff/object, then save it in my Composition, but when I put that object on my ship, it won't attach to the ship while I'm moving the ship. Is there a way to attach composition object to the ship that I was missed? I tried grouping Composition object with object that already attached to the ship but it does nothing to the composition object, they still won't attach to the ship while moving. I'm sorry if this case already mentioned before, please tell me. And thanks!

It happen to me as well, especially built something on the ship. Still don't know why, it happens sometimes. And it's happened not only on specific object. -
Oh well then, I suppose you are already at the end of this current state. [update] there is Santa thingy in the game, but I'm not sure if those items generated in old save

It seems you almost at the end in this current state, I think you still need underwater tech. My suggestion after mastered exploration mode, try to become creator.

How long remains inventory on map after death?

In singleplayer I can say, as long as you still have the save file working (if no bugs occurred), tbh this kind of case never happen to me.. but in multiplayer I heard some issue about that.- 2 replies

Yep, it should be on workshop near future, for now creators need to post their stuff in community creation to get feedback or something.

Did you put anchor down? If you do and still not align correctly, then ram the ship to the beach and anchor down. The ship won't waving after that. I always did that at my early playing experience, but now I always build vehicle with Editor, since you could move fast and built precisely in editor.

Yes I think so, wind have more affect to the sail and ship speed. I was sailing with my Dreadnought now it feels faster when sailing with the wind, and slower against the wind. Which is awesome!

Ah I see, so you didn't start a new character. Then choose "start a new character" it will spawn you on the same island where you died. With that, your stuff will laying around somewhere at the same place as you died. Becareful not to get killed again that's how it works, if you go to main menu after you died, your character won't respawn later when you continue again.

What do you mean "the same exact place I got killed"? Did you mean the same island? There is new update about respawn mechanism not too long ago, so new update changed everytime you get killed, you'll respawn at same island where you died except when you died on polar island, you will respawn on first island.

you can do that by placing 1 normal ladder, 2 squares away from the mast and then place 1 long ladder on top of the normal ladder then put 1 normal ladder on top of the long ladder (the second ladder) if doesn't enough . But becareful not to take a step at wrong place..

This is hard decision for devs, why? They're currently battling with griefers, energy/protective barrier is one of the new solutions. But it has flaw, current barrier's size is too small for greedy human, and each player only have one. So while we're waiting for another solutions, why not giving good feedbacks and report bugs to help developers. Have fun!

Ah I see.. oh well, you can edit exploration mode in Editor and you have your own full responsibility by using Editor in exploration mode or other mode. As long as it's only in single player or your own server, there is not a problem and I think nothing is wrong cheating in singleplayer game, no one get hurt except you so it's your own risk. That's ok to limit yourself to not use editor in survival/exploration mode, after all thats how you get fun and thats the point of playing games, like this wonderful Ylands! Have fun!

For that case, I don't know if that available in V mode, I could imagine what you mean by rotating to certain degree. Maybe typing number and direction of degree while holding V would be great, like rotating in 3D modelling apps.
