Oh man, I just realized that.. Ylands is kinda hybrid.. No character collision, but don't have targeting system.. I myself not sure how to make good combat, which at the end not only "button smashing". A lot of MMO just use "button smashing" technique with timing as an add-on to make it little bit interesting. Like if you smash button at the right time, it trigger combo or critical hit. About the incoming attack, I think just put it in normal speed animation. At the end, for MP the big problem is laying between our latency.. Thanks for weekly news, I'm honestly addicted to this.. Btw as SparkPlug mentioned, Is there news for NPC AI (path finding)? I mean, animals that not moving or seems stuck is still common.

Apparently something is going on with the server, it's same as mine, loading forever.. Just need to wait until Ylands Team check the problem, currently it's past midnight there.. -
first of all, you're at wrong side of sub-forum. second, where did you die? If you died on polar biome, you will spawn at another island. That's how it works. third, your question is absurd, I've spend 500+ hours and dead isn't a problem in singleplayer because your stuff will not go anywhere. So you will be careful next time. *Edit* My suggestion is always know where you are and where you are going to, at least you recognize the landmark or something nearby. For caving I always put something on the way I'm going to, so I can trace the path if something bad happen.

Hahaha, they're usually people(newcomer millennial or GenZ) that suddenly playing games in 60+FPS.. I guess they never feel the rough good old days..

I think, this feature is a "must-have" in the future, but for the requirement (like you said gold, copper, iron) is too cheap.. How about 20 ylandium dust, 50 magic dust, 10 gold ingot? -
Welldone guys! Spreading awesome habit to entire servers.. I did similar thing when I was playing at PA 17, but sadly someone put PB on it. I honestly don't know his/her intention (claiming for her/himself or to protect it). I gave up after that..

Combination Locks work better than Keys, get rid of keys

Hmmh, about the keys disappeared, I think it's known bug and should be fixed in the future. About preferring one of another, both lock mechanism has their own unique thing, it's depends on how and what you use it on. For example, the keys is way faster to lock things. If you have keys chain on "shortcut bar or toolbar", it's simply just hold your keys chain on your hands and lock things up quickly. It's also easier to make at the beginning stage. About combination lock that goes back to our inventory, oh well it's combination lock, not "digital lock" that you only need to press buttons. Now that I mentioned digital lock, I think Devs need to make one of those as next advance tech.. I think that's part of "civilization advancement", from cave man to paranoiac with lots of keys, then modern civilization with combination locks and then advanced civilization that just need to remember their passwords(maybe). So I don't think we need to remove keys mechanism. Remember, this is just my opinion.- 4 replies

I met some Chinese players in Ylands PA 17 before, our only problem is language barrier.. Yep, better be prepared. As side-note, so far my experience playing with Chinese players (not only in Ylands), they're like known to be crazy builder. They love to build massive things.. Even just walls, they build it massive and bulky.

Yeah I thought so. But if they want to make exploration mode to be their "official" thing, then there is custom map for non-official DS, which I think will be generated much better in the future. Up voted this thread.

Yep, what you said is right and changes in deep down of the base code is nightmare for any software developers.. But sadly, our role here is only "support", "planning and decision" is a thing that only developers can do. Except they need or allow some sort of suggestions from users to 'get in' on their plan.

Hahaha, I think it's better to wait until they implement the system (BP) they've planning, so we can understand "the base" and get improvement from our constructive feedback. Hopefully we get wonderful system.

yep its happening.. so often I found couple boar or rabbit somehow inside the cave (not near the surface). They're (you actually) lucky if they ends up in the cave, not in black hole..

Hemmh interesting functions.. Alright here is my questions about each of them above: First of all, will blueprint contain composition made by players(from workshop)? If the answer is no, then forget the rest. If yes then, What kind of blueprint that will scattered around the world? What make you consider which blueprint deserve to be monetized? "Basic structure" is a bit ambiguous, person A(noob) can say it's pretty complex but person B(pro) consider it really basic or simple structure. The last, can blueprint contain game logics? @TheSparkPlug I understand that it kinda annoying. Did you know that you can minimize someone's looong quote by clicking that top left circle button of the quote? Here is the flaw of this forum, by default the page will open all quotes and it's kinda annoying that you need to scroll far enough if you don't know that button. The reason why @John - NEXFER did that is might be because he use phone(which is painful to quote certain texts) or too lazy to bold/block certain texts and then use this quote buttons . Or.. else.. For now, if you guys use PC or can easily bold/block certain texts to quote, would be wise to just do that.. Well atleast I told you how to get rid that annoying "whole quote" thingy.
