0 bojo2736 1016 Posted March 10, 2018 You got that right. I tried to make a pool in both SP and MP. It sort of works. But it is not great.
0 TheSparkPlug 128 Posted March 10, 2018 You could give yourself the terraformer and do it in explore mode. I seem to have much more success that way.
0 Pharaun Mizzrym 13 Posted March 11, 2018 I'm building in editor and I don't think it saves what the Test Play Character does so I cannot terraformer it. However I will keep that in mind good advice to check out how that works later. Also if I do any larger constructions with/in water I get droplets that do not show in the editor. I need to delete these but they don't appear.
0 TheSparkPlug 128 Posted March 12, 2018 Basically, in explore mode water flows more naturally. Random droplets - or dips in the surface of the water - can be caused by invisible dots of sand (those tiny diamond shaped bits that sometimes get left behind when digging). The best way I have found to make them reappear, so they can be removed (again, in explore mode) is to build up to the droplet/dip with building blocks (ie logs, bricks, etc - not dirt/sand) then use the shovel against the side of the block you just placed to flatten. The sand should reappear. Remove it with a pick, not a spade. It may take more than one try. Hope that helps!
0 Indomitus 388 Posted March 16, 2018 Water editing in general needs to be gutted and redesigned. An example of a better system is something like what's in Planet Coaster, where you just set the water level and it auto-fills the available space.
0 Spyler.X 625 Posted March 16, 2018 (edited) if it is really complicated. I got it done in the following way.But I agree that it must improve a lot for this it is necessary to use the editor and not load the game until the process is finished. In the editor they first remove the water from the area where they are going to modify. Then modify the terrain to your liking leaving the area below the water in a staggered way with the flattening tool always start from top to bottom the process is similar to that of making a river. And above all very important, to work on a single material, for example sand. To avoid the interaction with possible remains of water that may have remained Finally, before loading the map add an estimated amount of water to fill. Do not forget to place a creative cube to finish adjusting later. Once this is done, they load their map to play and they finish adjusting the amount of water everything should look good.
