What does it take to run Ylands?

Recommended Posts

I am curious as-to the minimum required specifications to run Ylands. I know @MyPa553ng3r_P1 runs it on the Ryzen 3 2200G which is amazing.

What sort of PC do you have? How well does it run Ylands?

He runs it, but I think at low res.

He says it runs well on medium which surprises me. Great value for a 100$ CPU/APU.

What do you run Ylands on?

I have a home-built one courtesy of  my technical  other half. He purchased an  empty tower case and assorted bits   at one of those computer geek market surplus  items  disposal days ... He fitted in a  gigabyte MB and an i3 cpu, a beefed up  power supply, a Nvidia 750 gtxi video card and  16 ram os...   and a sata  500  gig  hd..  recently  boosted  by a WD external 2 Tb hd. This was  back in 2012 ...and its been motoring along  nicely running   90% of   my  stuff without  issues ....   Its not  able to run PUBG  ( it can -  but its  laggy as a snail  travelling across treacle..).

I been hinting at an upgrade...   but  things are sufficient  at the moment.  Ylands  runs   ok  on it .

I'm on a laptop, although it's built to be a gaming laptop.  It's an Asus.  I forget the model, but it's a couple years old.  Intel I7 processor, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX, running Windows 8.1 64-bit (and Ubuntu... my machines are usually dual-boot).  And just to complicate the whole thing, I nearly always have something like Youtube or VLC playing in the background while I'm playing the game.  I have it set at 1920x1080, with most of the video options set to "High" or better.

Damn, your rig is better than mine! Mine is an old refurbished Dell 980 with i7-870 Quad 2.93Ghz, a GeForce GT 630 w/ 2gb ram. dual display 1600x 900 1280x 1024  and only 8gb ram on the system. But I can't complain I only paid 100 bucks for it...

I got it this spring, costco had it on sale for $800. It seemed like a decent deal

Not bad I'd say.

Runs fairly smooth on custom settings where my load in distance is maxed and everything else is on minimum settings.

Gaming on a $100 pc is defiantly a steal IMO. I imagine you get a lot more crashes in early access though. Still, a steal for $100.

No, as I said, it runs fairly smoothly. I process 1,600 Sisal Agave into cloth per hour on this old rig... and no rubberbanding or crashes or anything we don't want. If this were Ark it'd be a different story though. Even PixArk runs pretty fast on it with no major hiccups! I only wish I could run Animallica on it but I'd be needing a much more powerful PSU  and a better GPU for that.

I run with an I5 8400, and a 1080. I'm not trying to flex but I still get lag in the game.

the game still needs better optimization I can't imagine playing this game with a computer worse than mine.

Nice!

I think the game runs better on some hardware then others.
