RESOLVED DId anyoe else just lose their game?

I've been playing for quite a while on my first base and when I went to go eat dinner, I went to log out as usual but it stayed on the screen saying it was saving the game. I went to dinner and came back and it was still on that screen. I restarted my laptop and chose my continue game. It then sent me to the character creation scree and it started me over on a new game. Is there anything I can do to get my game back?

Several of us  have reported it in the bugs. The community manager saw it and asked about it last Thursday. No update yet.

Thanks! I guess they couldn't fix it? I was really proud of the new base I had started. Sailed 7 Ylands to find just the right place to start building. Scares me to start over if this can happen again.

I'm starting to make backing up between saves a habit. At least it will minimize the chance I have to start over completely.

The Devs are taking a much needed break until January... we just need to be patient.  They will be back soon!
