    RESOLVED [YLD-29951] Traders disappeared

    Traders were running from the sound of mining drill and due to error in pathfinding they were in the bottom of ocean, we will probably remove this behavior altogether. Since 1.7 you can at least see their position on map when you try to place them again.

    Problem was with complicated system of unified classes in our DB so it could not be adjusted without breaking all other food, in 2.3 mentioned items were separated so you they have "drink" hint. In 2.4 they will have proper animation and sound.

    These problems were caused by our very old database and system of tags where a simple change could break any big feature from crafting to building, some of it was fixed in 2.0, rest will be in 2.4

There were several causes for this issue (failing services on backend side, some waiting threads in networking could "stuck" and data was not send again and later replaced by backup, same thing with network timeouts, problems with steam connection could cause similar issue, not to mention crashes, freezes and any unexpected shutdown, also some serious bugs with looped problems could interfere with data). It was always difficult to properly debug problematic connections from different parts of world. Also synchronizing client and local data through backend will never be without problems. But to summarize, there were fixes almost every update since 1.5 to 2.0. All mentioned problems were either fixed or mitigated to minimum (for example if in some rare case you will play with disconnected steam services and questionable network flow you can still lose some progress if you not be able to reach any of our services for prolonged time). In case player loses some important asset like ships we are able to restore it from his logs (which are now sent automatically with report in-game). Should be fixed.

    RESOLVED [YLD-28218] No cave on Yland?

    Map generator is continually updated, percentage of mentioned problem was lowered every update, in case of 2.1 it was around 1:100 000 that it can happen (and only in shattered/atoll type of yland). In present version it should not appear at all.
  17. Crash was caused by splitting items into full stack inside container, was fixed in 1.6.

    RESOLVED [YLD-28149] Controlling ship bug

    Was combination of several issues, extremely slow internet, combine with two local issues which in the end cause global desynchronization. Main problems were fixed in 1.6 and 1.8.
  19. Issue was mitigated a lot since then but it can still happen if animal is placed into modified terrain, this can cause unexpected de-penetration corner case and animal will fall through terrain, not sure if it will be ever fixed so it is recommended to never assign animals in dig up holes.
