    You might find mythical saber and x crossbow in another player made mini game. If you cannot make the bank safe in one of the games it may be because the creator of the game has the recipe disabled.....if you are playing exploration DLC you will not find the x crossbow or mythical saber and you may have to unlock the recipe for the bank safe by making all the tools and workstations yourself.

    10 steel plates and 5 cogwheels and any hammer for the safe. The mythical saber and x crossbow cannot be crafted.

    I may have to correct myself here. I couldn't seem to find the composition in the workshop....it may still be there but after doing some searching I could not find it. I did find a video on youtube that was uploaded 5 days ago featuring the ship so it may be there somewhere. Perhaps it is called something different in the workshop?

    Hmmm I would suggest that your friend submit a bug report. It's possible the map may be glitched? @Nikki Severin may be able to help if your friend comes here and submits the report.

    Update 1.8: AWESOME ACHIEVEMENTS

    Some people need the tutorial.....but I think maybe the achievement can be completed in a couple different ways? Just thinking of options. I personally am saving the qualified ylander achievement for last LOL. I didn't really have anything on my starter island so it was no big deal to reset the map, but I know a few people that have built quite a bit on theirs. On a sidenote....I only have 4 more achievements to complete Yay!

    Hmm is it your sharegame or your friend's sharegame? Sometimes it depends on how a person leaves the game as to how it saves. It's best if the person hosting the game is the last person to leave. And to make sure that it gets uploaded to the cloud after exiting. ....if they exit the game before the cloud upload is complete it will definitely affect the save.

    You can reset your starter Yland to get the tutorial achievement.....I know some people don't like this option because they may have built a lot on their starter yland.....maybe as a suggestion @Nikki Severin ....is there a way to work around this for people that want the achievement but don't want to delete their starter map?....Maybe give some other qualifications for the qualified Ylander achievement.....like basic recipes that have been unlocked? I Dunno...maybe as an alternative you could get the achievement by building your first boat? That requires a few workstations, crafting knowledge and some basic recipes that are unlocked...

    I am guessing by this post you are not playing exploration DLC and are playing somebody else's scripted game? There could be a number of reasons it's not working. I have seen some older map styles that won't allow transportation of animals....there also could be a script running in the background that won't allow it or causes that aspect of the game to glitch. I'm also not sure if legacy maps will support animal transport....I know it wasn't allowed in new exploration until just recently to let the animals travel off the map. What is the name of the map/game? I could try to look in editor if it allows world saving and it's not protected and available to download.
  10. Yeah like @Igor Q. mentioned sometimes you miss things in the patch notes....and sometimes they overlook or forget to mention something. Those darn human beings aren't perfect LOL. ( but they are continuing to make the game almost perfect)

    Press Q to bring up the radial menu and select "Summon animal" Not sure why they sometimes wander off from enclosures. It may help if you make an animal pen.

    Motorised Boats (& Linking Boats to Ships)

    I'm still up for the idea of Zircornium Engines. It's one of those materials that isn't used for much but the few things it is used for is high quality. Zirconium engines could last longer, maybe be a bit faster, and take up slightly less space. You could have both Zirconium steam and zirconium Ylandium styles. I think I understand where you are going with this though....a whole new small boat design with built in engines is intriguing. In regards to small boats being slaved to a ship. I have seen quite a few people try methods in multiplayer....some do not work at all, and others work....sort of....the ones that work involve dragging the boat along with many blocks underwater and doors that keep the boat inside......but it creates a lot of lag and causes some steering isues (and also gets stuck a lot in shallow waters on older style maps). It would be a nice idea to integrate some small lever that acts as a some sort of chain pulley that would "snap" a small boat into place somewhere on the ship, and "Unsnap" it as needed. Sort of a "docking bay" type of asset. Perhaps it could involve a detection radius for small boats within a close proximity of the ship, and each space required for small boat storage could be of some universal size. Maybe the same sort of space needed for things like charging stations? Maybe slightly smaller. I would think it could look like tie down life rafts that you see on the sides of cruise ships, etc. Better yet we could have a brand new type of boat that only works with ships. A "lifeboat" type of boat or small motorized ferry rafts. I guess the most difficult thing about the idea is it involves having a few vehicles sort of integrating with each other.....A summoning system within a summoning system so to speak.....which I think is something that can be done easily but does require more actual storage space within the game and the cloud. Anyhow I am truly looking forward to the next update and am hoping it will add some unique assets for ship designs.

    What exactly were you trying to edit? I am assuming you already have world saving enabled in game settings in editor and you are asking if you can make drastic changes like adding scripts without updating the game in the workshop? I know a few things you can do if it's just wanting to add compositions to an active game.....but if you are wanting to add scripts without the game wiping and resetting I think that's impossible.....but if you want to be able to add compositions and creatures without wiping and uploading a new game you just have to make sure that you have access to a creator cube in the game. I admin a few servers and there is a script the creators of the game use that is specifically made for me. I can type certain text commands and get a cube, run fast, fly without propeller pack or potion, teleport directly to other players, teleport other players to me, and many more commands they made for me.....but it's in a script that cannot be changed unless they decide to wipe it and update to a new script. With the cube I generally add a lot of compositions in the game using various blueprints I have made in editor and I use it constantly to ensure players always have challenges and rewards by making small random encounters with monsters and some uncraftable items as the rewards for defeating or out maneuvering those monsters.
  15. Steam usually updates every Tuesday. This happens quite often on Tuesdays. It's no big deal it just takes a bit of time waiting for Steam to do it's thing. If it continues to happen after several hours though I suggest clearing your download cache in steam settings and try running the game as an administrator. Most of the time though it clears up on it's own. @Kurochimaru

  18. Unfortunately I forgot to grab the output logs for this, but thepYpse told me the map may help a bit. I noticed several random encounters on this map that were showing on the compass but just not there. If you check the island on the East side of the map towards the middle you will find about 5 or 6 random encounters with a compass but empty space. Attached the map.     Perhaps it's the fact it's a moving weld that causes the lag and drop in framerate? I only know it is terrible in multiplayer. Even simply summoning a basic ship can cause lag to other players .I know the anchor can help with the lag but I have seen far too many players forget to drop their anchors and summoning an unanchored ship means you are summoning a moving ship. It might be a good idea if the devs created a script that automatically anchored a ship when it is unsummoned and summoned....? Just a thought to reduce multiplayer lag.
