Hey there Ylanders, Some quick housekeeping ?! (composition by @spiritchaser28 ) Our Explorer’s Pack DLC is getting a new home in the Ylands in-game shop starting June 30th. This is a part of an overall streamlining of the Ylands experience that we’ll expand on more below. The DLC is 20% off for the Steam Summer Sale, and will also be 20% off in the Ylands in-game store until the end of the Summer Sale event on July 8. If you already own the DLC, nothing changes for you! We’ve seen a lot of your feedback and we’re implementing many of the changes you’ve been asking for with our upcoming 1.7 update for the game. To ensure these new features are the best they can be, we’ve decided to push back the release date a week to July 8th. We know you’ve all been waiting for these changes, so we apologize for making you wait longer! This extra week will give us more time to polish these new elements and make the Ylands experience better for everyone! This release date adjustment is a part of a larger plan to shift our focus on making the current version of Ylands the best it can be for you, our players! We’ll be revealing more details on this plan in the future, but the main thing is that our next 1.8 Update will be entirely focused on quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and an overall streamlining of the Ylands experience. Back to the 1.7 Update. Since we’re making you wait and all, we thought it was only fair that we give you a tease of the updates we’re making based on your feedback! Tool management should now be much easier with an extended toolbox space, so that you can fit all of the knives, axes and chisels in there! Yep, that’s right, you can now add those three items to your toolbox as well! And don’t forget about the amazing Mystery Ylands! You will be able to unlock those using Exploration points you will be collecting on your travels, and when you solve the mystery, the yland will reward you handsomely with new recipes, more Exploration points and valuable resources. Your feedback across all platforms has been heard, and our focus is giving you the features and updates you’ve been asking for. We appreciate your passion and your patience, and we’ll have more to share very soon! Stay classy out there!

How do you set up Ylands Exploration DLC on rented dedicated servers?
Nikki Severin replied to sundoode1's topic in General Discussion
Hi there! Technically all the servers under the "dedicated server" tab are Nitrado servers @sundoode1 you would like to use an entirely different option? -
Hey there, Ylanders! As you probably know, the 1.7 update is coming very very soon. But how soon, you may be wondering. Well, let's not beat around the bush and get straight to all the announcing we have to do! First things first, the 1.7 update will be named after the Mystery Ylands feature, which we told you about in Dev Diary #175. We are excited to share that it is called Marvelous Mysteries! And when will it drop? The new update will be going live on July 8! We hope that you're as excited as we are for the update which is packed with new features, fixes and quality of life improvements. We have been collecting feedback from our players and adding it to the game, so we hope that you will especially enjoy things like less cluttered crafting, revised toolbox (yes! more slots inside!) and many more! To tell you more about these new features, discuss their future and reasons behind their implementation, we will also be sharing them with you during our live stream event! The event will be held on our Twitch channel on July 12 at 5pm CET (check your time zone!). During the stream, you will get to meet some of the developers who will talk about new features, see videos and live play of the newly updated parts of Ylands, win the Exploration DLC for your or your friend, win a goodie pack with some very cool Ylands themed items and ask questions about the new features. And before we say goodbye this week, we have some incredibly exciting news to share about our players. Two of our players, who met through Ylands all the way back in 2017, are getting married this upcoming weekend in Australia! Congratulations on your wedding and we wish you to stay happy, healthy and classy together! That's it for this week and we cannot wait to see you all tuning into our stream in two weeks! Stay classy, Ylanders!

Hey there, Ylanders! Being able to survive on a remote yland is not easy. What does make it easier and more fun is what you surround yourself with. But since you're starting with but a few resources around you, all there's left to do is craft everything you need! And Ylands has oh-so-many recipes to choose from! So many that one may actually get lost in the sea of items, blocks and decorations. Which is why we took your feedback and turned it into a whole new crafting system! The crafting system will now include two kinds of recipes: core recipes and optional recipes. Core recipes will be learned by progressing through, what we call, a crafting tree. Optional recipes, on the other hand, will encourage Ylanders to travel and explore more because these recipes can only be found visiting random sites. All the recipes that you already know and use will not disappear, so you don't need to worry about that! Another thing that will change based on your suggestions is the UI. In the new and improved version of crafting, you will be able to see groups of items such as building elements, tools, weapons and so on. We hope that this will help with navigating the crafting menu and make for easier and faster crafting. To make the crafting menu navigation even easier, newly learned recipes will be highlighted so that you don't forget about them and try them right away! What you've been asking for and what 1.7 will also bring to Ylands' crafting is hotbar crafting. Any recipe that doesn't require a crafting station can now be crafted into the world straight from the hotbar. How great is this for building blocks! That's all for today and we will continue bringing news about all the fun things coming to Ylands with the 1.7 update! Till next week! Stay classy, Ylanders!

Hi there! There is no offline mode as of now.

Hey! Not in the 1.7 update, maybe in 1.8 but I will keep you posted for sure!

Hey! Will do of course

Sorting favorites is not actually a part of this update, but I can definitely bring it up to be included in 1.8, which is going to be mostly a polish and quality of life update

Hey there Ylanders! As we promised in the last Dev Diary, we're bringing more information about the 1.7 update! Since we've been disclosing a lot about Exploration and all of its new features and fixes, we thought it was about time we showed you, our talented creators, a bit of what 1.7 will bring into Editor. It may sometimes be time consuming when you're trying to fill an yland with a large number of items to make it look populated. And since we want you to be able to fully unleash your creativity rather than spend time placing every single plant manually, we have created a tool, which will help you span a large amount of objects over your terrain or any other surface in a pattern you choose. We call this tool an Object Brush. The tool will come with a set of predefined patterns you can choose from such as the taiga forest or a cool rock formation. In order to not restrict your creativity in any way however, the Object Brush tool will allow you to define your own patterns, which can be used to create whatever you can imagine! The Object Brush will also allow you to change the brush size, brush shape and whether you would like it to snap to a specific terrain such as water, terrain or entities. We can't wait to see all the ways in which our creators will use this tool, because just like with any other feature, we hope to be surprised by the creative uses they come up with! As we're nearing the release of the 1.7 update, we are very excited and we hope you are too! That's it for this week so stay safe and stay classy, Ylanders!
