    Update: 04/05/2017 Version: 0.3.32637 Fixed the issue where players were unable to load saves made with a character left sitting on a chair/lying in a bed placed on a ship's deck. Fixed the issue where players could get hurt when standing up from a chair. Fixed the issue where minor errors in loading corrupted energy network data from a saved game would reset the entire world.

    We are currently discussing possible ways of making the movement between the ylands a bit easier later in the game (especially after your character dies and new one appears). It won't be solved in the upcoming update but in 0.5 or 0.6.

    Hmm, sounds like there's indeed some nasty issues related to player exiting the game while sailing the ship. Finding the issue and fixing is our top priority right now.

    Hi, I'm sorry to hear you have troubles starting the game. Was it just a temporary issues or is it still happening? If so - does turning off your anti-virus temporarily as @Gracekain suggested make any difference?

    Hi Melle, no, modding will be done through our own Steam Workshop alternative and will be separate from Steam. There are actually several reasons why we're doing this but the most important is that this way we can get best of the both worlds - those who are used to work with Steam Workshop will find our service very familiar while at the same time we will have complete control over it's features. That may not seem that important right now but it will be crucial in the future where it will let us do things that we wouldn't be able to do with Steam Workshop - we feel the possibility of tweaking the system so that it fits our needs and works exactly the way we want it to is really worth it. We will be ready to discuss specifics later this year.

    Yes, we are indeed planning some cool map-related stuff (thanks, Miguel). Having a specific key bound to map toggle is actually something players have been asking for for some time now so we are already looking into that one. As for posting suggestions and ideas - sure, that's what the forum is here for. Whenever you feel the game is lacking something / something should be improved, tell us!
  18. Hopefully we have been able to fix this issue - I expect the patch to be released early next week. In the meantime switching the camera to FPS mode and back again should very likely fix the issue.
  19. Hey Gracekain, thanks for the video! This is definitely something we will look into asap (unfortunately in addition to the weekend the Monday is a national holiday here so it may actually take a couple of days before we're able to do something about it). We will keep you posted.

    Supernatural Ylands?

    Well, we have two main goals - to keep improving the Explore game (we have some grand plans for that) and to keep giving players tools to make their own games (to improve what can be done with the Editor - which goes very often pretty much hand in hand with the improvements we make to Explore game and vice versa). For us "giving players tools to make their own games" means letting them create as many game types/genres as possible - so not giving them the option to add magic, spells, portals or to populate their ylands with supernatural creatures would be a horrible mistake At the same time, though, we understand that there are players who will want to create games, that will be set in strictly realistic environment - those will be able to create games where there will be no magic at all. As a matter of fact - things like more magic, magical creatures or teleports are already on our internal roadmap PS: I'm sorry that it took us this long to answer - this was an extremely busy week for us...

    Yes, hopefully that will help. If everything goes as expected a patch that fixes this (so that you don't have to change the details level in order for the game to start) and some other issues as well will be released tomorrow.

    Can we keep the standalone client :(

    Hi, unfortunately I can't tell you if the standalone client will be still be supported after the Steam release right now - we are still discussing that. However there's a good news for you - the Bohemia Interactive account you created in order to play Ylands will definitely stay active and we will still use it (internally) to identify you so losing the access to your Steam account wouldn't necessarily mean you losing everything. Actually even the sharing service (currently called Ylands Workshop) that you will all get to experience soon will exist outside Steam and you will be able to log into it with the account you have now.

    Ricky, our programmer was able to reproduce the bug and it should be fixed by now. The update will be released probably later today or tomorrow but there's a workaround that should let you play the game even before you game gets updated. Enter Settings panel in the Main Menu and set the Level Detail to Medium. Start the game and only after it has been started return it to Low. It seems that having Level Detail set to Low when starting the game caused some issues. Let us know if this helped.

    Thanks for the log! You won't need to put it back - hopefully we will be able to see what causes the freeze and fix it. After that a patch will be released - your game will download the fix as soon as it becomes available.
