    I think you have been doing a good job communicating actually. The more people love what you do, the more they panic when you change it in my humble opinion . Doing videos on games for 10+ years now I have seen that sometimes doing the right thing gets you more panic than doing the wrong thing (in which case people ignore you totally). I love that music you added in the last patch. I wish it was constant however and I hope for some more clean transitions when jumping in the sea and such. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and that you will have a happy new year!

    I'd love a system to follow players around without using a timer. We would need an offset value for this too.

    That's half the reason I am here, its so much fun to learn with other people in a limited environment. Having people to bounce ideas off as we make games and work on stuff makes making that stuff so much easier and more fun. Thanks devs!

    Collision Box

    Many times in games we create background scenes which need-not have collisions at all. I would love to be able to create a triggerzone-like box to cover huge areas of background that dont need collisions in which no player can enter (the box is one big low-poly collision matrix) but has no collisions inside it. This would speed up our games 300%.

    I would love to see more sound effects in the editor including: 1) Crowd cheer/boo/clap/goal 2) Race - 1 - 2 - 3 -- START -- sounds like in mario cart. 3) Horn sounds for start and end of games 4) Alarm & siren sounds

    Hytale - Ylands biggest competitor?

    So I just bumped into this. It's a game similar to Minecraft but with scripting, modding, movie creation and more. This game has BLOWN up since its recent trailer and has been covered by everyone in the Minecraft scene. The trailer alone has 14 million views. 3 million more than yesterday. No doubt this game will be a juggernaut. What are your thoughts? It's so similar to the space Ylands is trying to take on I am admittedly a bit worried.

    Hytale - Ylands biggest competitor?

    I can say that I like Ylands much better for its graphics and realism and also lack of textures. I am not a fan of what I see both in MC and Hytale graphics-wise. However, I do fear its popularity in such a similar niche will be a challenge to Ylands. The ability to make your own games, movies and animations seems really attractive and knowing Hypixel they will support the creator community. QUOTE: "MODELLING AND ANIMATION TOOLS Hytale ships with Hytale Model Maker, a spectacular suite of browser-based 3D modelling, texturing, and animation tools. Collaborate with others in real time, customize characters and items, and import your work directly into Hytale." Wait and see I guess is the game.

  23. Ylands sits right in the middle between game and game engine. However, there are some significant problems that are not obvious that need to be addressed in order for this game to become a good platform for making other games. Cars -- Other than the well-known desync issues with cars, they don’t handle well on terrain or on elevations. Despite their high rite-hite they get stuck very easily on small inclines making anything but a flat track a no-go. Combat -- The new combat system feels like your stuck in the mud. There is a lack of game “feel” when it comes to it. Hope these suggestions are helpful!
