1. Not really that important, its just for utility and temporary storage at the beginning 2. Not that hard if u have decent gear 3. When u found good spot Tips - Fully explore and gather everything in first island, - make temporary base just for some stations, - then try to make ship/boat. Sail to the seven sea by following bird direction repeat except the ship part Found good spot to build base? Then base construction begin Note: make/pick up something to unlock the recipe Have fun

[Suggestion] Different Kind of Sail Mast and It's Function
V-Alfred posted a question in Suggestions & Feedback
First before I say something, sorry if this kind of topic already discussed somewhere (please let me know). So my suggestion is about different kind of sail mast as the title said. Let me explain, the current game (0.6.42) already has small mast and large mast which is square-ish and square large sail , and wind mechanism which is perfect for sailing the seas. But it feels more depth if there is different kind of sail and it's function, for example the Square sail is good for wind that coming from the back (100%), but poor for wind that coming from the front (10%), slightly better from the side (35%). On other hand the Fore-and-aft sail is slightly poor for wind that coming from the back (35%), and poor for wind that coming from the front (10%), but good for wind that coming from the side (100%). The size of mast will have impact for overall speed/power of the ship. Choices on the sails and mast when building ship makes player have more creativity on designing ships which is awesome for future creation. *percentage is speed/power This idea might already in your plans sheet, devs. Hopefully it come in the near future, I really enjoy sailing in Ylands. Keep up the awesome work! Keep in mind that this is my suggestion. If you have any other suggestion for sail mast or ship in general, feel free to reply this thread or make new suggestion -
yep, it seems because the ship have height limit, as we discussed in this thread Ship masts

Problem with soldering iron and magnyfing glass
V-Alfred replied to FlaMeZ13's topic in General Discussion
I don't really understand your problem, but did you check your 'bare-hand' crafting menu? you could make soldering iron and the magnyfing glass in there -
lmao, go to cave then sleep there with basic bed made with grass. you can eat some mushroom which grow inside the cave too
-
you can use normal/small mast to put it on top of blocks, but for large mast I don't think you can atm or just free place that large mast. I think it's because the height limit of the ship. I hope the devs make it higher, since square sail mast at same elevation kinda useless and looks weird.. atleast for me. please let me know if you have another workaround to use large mast in different elevation.

or move from crafting to inventory then back to crafting, it works for me.

lmao, I think every biome kinda have slightly different color pallet (or my eyes get error after 6 hours playing), I found clay in rainforest biome it looks like white pink-ish, but in tundra biome it looks like pale tan.

I have been playing quite awhile now and I didn't see any bags like you descript in this version (0.6.42044) except for propeller pack and little things like pouch for herbs, potion, seed, dirt, coal, pigment, etc that you can carry in your inventory. They pretty helpful for collector

RESOLVED [YLD-7848] Ship Rocking In First Person
V-Alfred replied to Wizza's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Yep it happens to me too. Since all of my ships have rooms even the deck. It's better to move around large ship in firstperson camera, and I often bump the furniture which on the ship. Little bump can cause the ship to turn around wildly.
