    Ok, Ane, thank you. Ane, I have many thoughts on Ylands and hoe how make it better with minimal work (or with help of community?). Problem is, no one is reading posts. I'd like to make schemes, diagrams, sketches and important, but small changes. I cannot put it in here or I'd have write so many posts. I also have a list of bugs (mostly not very important, but not know to this day, as to my knowledge) from last version. Best Regards, Ane, Bartosz

    I never saw world with more than 8 Islands. I guess size of the world depends on your computer memory.
  5. I'd like to write all problems with Ylands in one text, but, as you can see, devs still do not read what people are writing. I wanted to help - for free, but no one really read this... No birds anymore, blood/gore as DLC or 16+ gamers (why not, Total War is using it), buckets for transport/moving water as dirt/sand or snow. Why not? It would be great to move water at last. So, for now we have faster game, that cool, but artists are not sure what they are doing. If it's low poly game - please - reconsider your face changing or let it be an option... The faces just do not fit game esthetics. You removed birds completely... I hope these will be back... It seems that animal breeding is not working anymore. We lost also most of the interesting places to find... You removed useless mpc's, I guess for now, but game have no idea what to do with empty places left by mpcs houses. If you click inventory while changing boat direction, boat will stop turning. The only way is to save game and reload it. I'd be more than happy to have old Ylands back, even as DLC, even if I had to pay twice as many as I already paid for the game. I wanted to write "almost complete compendium to Ylands", just to help devs with their problems, but it's hours to write. I don't want to do it just to leave it here... Dear Devs, but not improving game, but selling it, and by not reading people problems, you loose potential customers. I see more and more people who do not want even to wait for Ylands anymore. Not because game is bad... but because Devs are not even reading and listening to problems... Solutions are really very easy. some examples: 1) Everyone hates newsleeping mechanics. If you let us choose when we can wake up, at least let us choose hour. So, use simple clock (So I could sleep during the day and wake up when I want). Also, for solo game, allow us to wake up just by clicking mouse button, as it was before. It was very nice feature. You cannot understand that solo games and multiplayer games have to be different?? What's so strange about it?? First thing: in multi you cannot stop the time, so you have sleeping problem... You cannot do anything about it. I understand it. But solution is easy: OPTIONS and SETTINGS!!! Let us choose sleeping mode in settings of the game! 2) You want to make everyone happy... You cannot. Whatever you do - you loose some gamers. So, make some more game options. It's not any problem. You can always make new game mode: Solo Sandbox... Let us choose what we want. You can make this game great, just only by making it fully open world, fully customisable, sandbox, with all editors needed and modding possibilities, including changing graphics from low-poly to realistic, if someone wants it. Just make option in Graphics Menu - use filters and shaders... And let people choose. And now I want to sell you best idea for game like yours for free... Have you seen why people loved games like Sid Mayer's Pirates, Operation Flashpoint, Minecraft, GTA, Dwarf Fortress, Doom and hate Watchdogs or Total War series (thought they love the games)? Simply: people love to play, be creative. Whole idea of any game is to be fun and to be game! Not frustrating clicker, for example. Early games, as Doom, were great, because everyone could mod the game - nothing was hidden or coded. Open world games, editable games, games with all editing possibilities (yes, I know, you are working on it), but also FULLY customisable including DEVS PANEL or CHEAT PANEL - no matter how you call it. If you want to make hardcore game fans happy - add "Hardcore Mode" - where you cannot alter the game and you have to hard work to stay alive without any cheats.... Why not? It's simple option. I'd love to write you whole my ideas in one, nice booklet with algorithms and images, sketches, schemes, but it will be many hours of work. I'd love to know at least you will read it. I was talking with many people active in this forum and all said the same: even if you know devs - they just don't read what you say unless posts are velar. Devs are making game and change it only when they see something is popular... Don't do this. I bet most people do not say anything. Make good game, best game, you are close to that. Do not make it only for children who shout loudest... Don't destroy your game. Can't you see that way to success is this: fully moddable, fully customisable, open world sandbox with all editors possible and with possibility to change the game as people like, even to make it completely different game - even if you make Gore and Blood DLCs for 18+. Do it. And if it's legal problem - make the same game with different title, and give us blood and gore back. As it was planned. And then sell it to us second time (discount would be nice, but I'd love to but Ylands but old, planned Ylands, not new Brick Building game only). With most tools working for both games, you could make more money and people would be happy. As you can already see, people want to make racing games, PVP, MMO, RPG, survival, crafting, farming, shooters and even "Mount and Blade" or "Pirates" mods using your engine. It's possible... Even if you had to sell some editors (for fair price) to make money to make new tools. People would pay it. I'd love to pay for good tools. Tell me you will read it and I will make professionally and nicely written booklet for free. If you find it useful - we could talk about it later. With All The Best, Bartosz
  6. Hi, I bought the game in the same day as you. Yes, some issues are fixed, but have you ever seen on Youtube Yland version before Steam release? It's sad, but it's completely different game now. I hope modding ability will let us make very nice things. One thing though... Dear Devs. New faces are not only ugly, but do not fit artistic style of the game, please - fix it or let people choose. If you want to try different look add option for using shaders and then polygons will be softened and many people probably will like it, but some not... Let us choose. It's just one shader... Adding filter to the game is very simple, you can make this option within one day of work. Regards

I knew you decided to make the game for children, so I supposed it's now "Pegi 15", but someone, somewhere mentioned Ylands is no more even for teenagers, so I checked describtion few minutes ago... Are you serious?! Since Ylands Team decided to make Ylands "family friendly" (Pegi 7), I'd like to ask You all for your opinions and talk about it... Pegi 7? Really? Do you want to compete with Barbie games and LEGO? Your idea was a bit different... we have tons of games for children, lately especially Minecraft /LEGO style. Do you want to make another clone of these games or make something really new? I can understand you want now to make building game and you want to support people who do not want any PvP parts in the game. Ok, i understand, I like relaxing, nice games too. But why you decide to change whole game idea and focus on LEGO Barbie mix than openworld, sandbox, universal, survival game for all? Do you think that children will buy your game? Of course - not. Parents buy games for their children - you know it. There is many brick games and "Minecraft" for children. Why you decided that removing all adult content (it was satire), will make your game more profitable? I do not understand your thinking idea. You started Ylands as low poly survival game about pirates and shipwrecked unlucky sailors in the middle of unknown world with thrirls of unknown magic. It's very well made, funny, with very funny graphics and potentially humour. Pirates, open worlds, generated worlds, survival, crafting and building. Additionally: treasue, exicement and unknown. and everytime something new. Building forts, guns, ships, galleons, grave digging, treasure hunting and killing to stay alive... and probably savages and bandits to fight, when game will be ready... And then... You decided to start campaign on Steam... Suddenly game not only changed a lot, but even was described not for children, but for very small children (Pegi 7)!?!? Arma developers decided to compete with Barbie and Disney?? From day to day you removed most of the game content - the game I was fan of, game I was observing for year or more? The game I bought at last!!! Wasn't even similar to what I saw... Yes, it was still low poly, but breath taking hunting and doing the best to live one day longer by digging out graves or robbing poor souls, poor skeletons to have "new" pants and helmets... Wasn't there. Samurai armour, katanas, horrible fights for life with unknown magic forces... But the worse thing was: "Pegi 7". "Whaaaaaat? Pegi 17" I guess??? There was no pr0.no.., there was no blood, there was no violence... I never liked gutting, but it was just question of new animations.... No, it's "Pegi 7". Tell me, how many 7 y.o. customers you have? Is this a joke?? Really, I was angry, when I saw more and more content removed (Dinosaur skulls were too much too? Who are your customers now, some religious freaks, who think dinosaurs never existed, but killing animals is nic, because God let them do it?). I understand some people do not want PvP - I love Ylands relaxing idea, PvP isn't my favorite type of games, but... it would be great to jump into PvP island and build my own ditch, make my own bow and go fight for life! But it seems you are removing more and more content from original Ylands. Isn't enought to let server owners decide if people want survival PvP or not? You have great chance now to make something really special. If you decided to make your game silly - I cannot understand how I could play in MP with todddlers - yes, of course, I love pto play, build castles and houses.. and yes, I can talk, with children too. But how do you want to separate people who want toy play Cowboys and Indians and crying toddlers? Maybe it would be good idea to split Ylands into two games - "brick world" and "Ylands you promised us?". If you don't do it - others will do it. There is many brick games. Do you really want to compete with "LEGO Worlds II" (I never heard of it, but I guess someone is working on it). Please, do not kill the game!!! Instead of any work - you just removed whole models and animations, thought Ylands is already comic books style and low poly... Why??? Do you need new animators? Ask even on this forum! If you think your skeletons and dying animations were "grusome" (really? Ok, now you are making game for 7 y.o. hardcore gamers). I think it's important to make Ylands a bit more educational. You changed Ylands completly, but removing most of the earlier content, this is bad decision in my opinion, especially, because children (and Ylands is not for toddlers) like shooting, humour and thrills too. "Pirates of the Caribbean" were full of killind, dead bodies and skeletons and... it's Disney and children love it. Additionally, if you see new titles around (Sea of Thiefts for example, not mentioning Kingdom Come), many players are children... Remember - You cannot be parents of every child (this is job of their parents), also - you don't have to kill in Ylands. And your low poly game isn't neither gore or 18+ content. Disney games or LEGO games are full of death and even mild ..ex. And noone complains. So, why you are so affraid, so you removed skeletons and even, or especially, fossils?? I understand gutting and dying animations were sad, but it was educationally good - you should feel bad doing this. If you show children (and I think children will not play Ylands anyway), that killing animals is nothing wrong - you just reward them giving them food and hide, and additionally you shaw wolves and cats as "bad animals" - you are doing wrong job. Entirely opposite. YOU SHOULDN'T REWARD CHILDREN FOR KILLING BUNNIES! YOU SHOULDN'T REWARD CHILDREN FOR KILLING ANY ANIMAL! Pegi 7? Really? Do yuo think it will make your game more profitable?? Please, think again. Maybe it's time to decide if you want to make game for children only? At least use humour. More funny humour. Where is the problem? Do you need inspiration? Ok: "Who framed Roger The Rabbit", "Spy Vs Spy", "Merrry Melodies".., and so on, I'm sure you can imagine more. Pegi 7?? Please, change the stupid "Piggy" and make the game properly. If you really think killing animals is for toddlers and it's fun to give children weapons to kill animals to be rewarded with meat and hide. And he only difference between you older version of the game and last ones is removing skeletons and animations - I'm sorry. This game is not for children. Change the game name to "LEGO Duplo" and remove all guns, shooting and killing stuff. Don't make jokes like that. Pegi 7 and you want to promote your game as PvP, OpenBox, Sandox, Survival game and so on? I feel a bit... well... cheated. One update more and we realise that Ylands is just another poor Lego rip-off. Why?!!? Bohemia Interactive is very good team. If you need money so desperatelly, so you are degrading main titles to games for toddlers - make two. And make one for us - I will pay and I will be happy! But, please, do not destroy this game! If your manager, director or boss - whatever you call him - cannot see this - Ylands can be another breakthroutgh in openworld games. Many other companies are watching you closely - do you want to let them steal your ideas? (I think you see what I'm talking about??). If not - maybe it's time to change your "Gods". You lost "Operation Flashpoint", because someone was making bad decisions for the whole team. Right? Maybe you should change your "boss"? Maybe you have no time to play your game, and even less time to watch people playing Ylands... Damn, please, see around and ask people why thety are playing Ylands or why they stopped!!! Even if you cannot make everyone happy - you cannot - you can make true sandbox, openworld game, with options for everyone. It's easy, really - just make something called "custom game". Let us choose. And really... (yeah, I'm using "really" too much") Pegi 7? Who's idea was it? Especially after all that Youtube campaign??? How many 7 y.o. gamers bought Ylands?? How many will buy it?   8. Hi, Eventually I've made another tests and now reason why Ylands crashes is clear: I've got only 8GB of RAM. Windows 7. SSD HD. 12-32GB swap file. If I'm playing game on 2-3 Ylands or more, but smaller ones I can play for weeks, but everyday Ylands consumes more and more memory. Usually game starts using 4GB of RAM and memory usage grows with every explored island and every bigger building. For some reason building ships take much more memory than anything else. Last time I've made serie of tests and I realised that problem is not for how long I play (it is, but if I work in one place memory problem isn't big), but how much I explored and... if I built big ship. So, last time I built big ship and moved to discover new lands. I was checking memory usage during every exploration. I realised that roughly every bigger island uses 1GB or RAM and every smalle one uses around 0.7GB of ram. Exploring mines takes additional RAM. Ylands is trying to delete from memory parts you leave behind, but it doesn't work.. And important thing - Ylands after "continue" starts with more and more RAM used every day. So: 1st day it's 4.5GB, second it's around 5GB, third it's 5.5GB and so on. If I manage to explore 5-6 islands within few hours - game will use whole my memory and game crashes. Reloading changes nothing. Ylands tries to download whole 7GB and because I have only 8GB - game crashes. In short - yesterday Yland crashed again. It was, as always - after discovering 5th-7th island. And as always - it happened, when I was close to my ship and Ylands started to render my ship. This time Display Driver crashed, but Ylands was partially working in the background - it was still using.... 6.7GB of RAM! Funny thing is - my clean system, with everything removed except for crucial system parts is using around 1.4GB of RAM. So, Ylands simply tried to use more RAM than I have and crashed. And I can repeat it again and again, game after game, no matter what settings I use. It seems that Ylands is not using swap file and it seems that there is memory leak of some kind. All The Best!   9. Hi, Last time I was watching closely how Ylands works and I was watching my memory above all. It seems clear to me now, that 8GB of memory will not allow you to play at this stage. Game Starts using 4.5GB and then, with every explored island or new build, Ylands is using more and more memory - when it's using (~6.6GB - including memory used by Windos 7 - it's exactly 99% physical memory usage after crash) Display Driver crashes and Windows want to terminate Ylands. It happens everytime, I can repeat it again and again. Settings really doesn't matter. Devs, please, once again, let us choose AA settings. I understand memory problems, I understand I have only 8GB RAM and 1VRAM, so I cannot play Ylands for longer than few days, but at least, let me set graphics settings. And, please, stop saying "use Crimson or CCC" AA settings - there is no such settings for years no. If you take a look at any Readeon forums, you will see this "contact your developers if you cannot change your graphic settings". Also, people with much better systems have the same problems - people with 16GB will se the same problem with FPS and memory leaking, but few days later. As far as I know, Ylands is not using Windows Virtual Memory or Swap File. If it's above your physycal memory - it will not be loaded to your swap file, it will crash. I'm not talking about game features and content anymore, because server crashes and memory leaks are now the biggest problem. People, we simple cannot help you more - if our systems are constantly crashing - this is the main problem for now!Aall The Best! I hope my problems will help... Bartosz

Hi, I'm very happy to see vendors, and I have found many bugs, I hope it will help you: First problem is random compositions in explore mode, I hoped you will repair it, and I can see you made some changes, but it still do not work proprly: 1) Compositions now tries to flatten the ground, but it doesn't work for simple camps, teepees and things like "fireplaces". It worked very well after first Steam release, but then I guess island generating changed and most of the findings are partially underground, built on steep hills and so - completely broken and I suppose - they there generated underground too, so they fell into the earth and dissappear. Why I think that? Sometimes I can find random part of simple compositions I know - for example graveyard, bandits' camp, simple explorer's camp and so one - problem is, in many cases I can find only part of the camp - and there is no rest of it. Digging is not helping at all - there is nothing - I think it have fallen underground. But, new flatten idea for Vendors' houses works... almost. Sometimes vendors' houses spawn under a mountain and sometimes part of mountain is levitating over traders' houses (I'm attaching screenshot). 2) Fishermen are usually spawned by the sea... but, if there is a mountain - fisherman is buried underground and he's constantly jumping. I digged him out and then I've found even more strange glitch: 3) Vendors are spawned even few times... Sometimes there is one vendor, sometimes it's two of them, sometimes it's three vendors. It's the same person, they have the same items (before and after trade with me). They are actinge speraratelly, they arerotated in different directions, but when I'm talking to any of them - they all are talking the same thing and they are faced towads me. It's nt a problem with all vendors - problem I mentioned I saw with fisherman (always two of them) and woman selling... I dn't remember - but new one, stand by the sea with blue-white anwils. I have no idea why - but sometimes there is one and sometimes there is three of them in different places, but still in the booth. 4) I guess it's something happenning everytime - I had no problems trading at all, even if traders were glitching, but in one case I managed to break trade. Trade was close, I needed one more pebble to add and I realised that traders sometimes want to buy flowers or herbs, so, I opened my herb bag and added herbs they wanted to the trade list. I hit "trade" and error showed up: "FAILED", but everything seeemed to be ok, so I added few more thing (I thought trader wants more), and then "FAILED" showed again and... I lost all my items I had for sale and... trader also lost everything I wanted to buy from him... I can only guess, but I guess, if you have anything in herb basgs, soil boxes or jars - you should move thse to your main inventry before trade. If you try to sel anything from your "bags" - trading will break. 5) I understand why you want traders to be invincible, but it makes whole game wrong. It's not sandbox anymore. I understand that traders are not full AI entities for now, but making anything "invincible" makes game worthless. I know we are playing alpha stage game, but, please, make traders possible to kill. Any player will not gain anything by killing and robbing traders, but it will fit idea of the game. It would be great if for now you will make them mortal and leaving all their stuff after being dead - after all everyone can kill us and steal our stuff, right?! Instead of making trades invincible - as most of stupid games used to do - Let them die. Player can die - so, make it realistic. The simpliest way to make it nice and working is - if you kill any trader - you can take everything from him, but... you have to wait for new vendor to appear - if... he will reappear at all. I think Ylands idea is to make realistic game. It would be much better if you loose vendor forever if you kill him, than making him invincible. Invincible NPC's is something we could see long time ago - it was stupid and unrealistic. Please, make this game different. If you kill vendor, you can have eerything he have/she has, but pity - no trading for you anymore. Please, think about it. ComR
  11. I was writing about it many times, I guess it's somethin everything saw already, please, see the screenshot. Another problem is - after some time map isn't updated anymore. It's "undiscovered" n matter what. I don't have screenshot yet.
  12. Hello Everyone, Devs seem to have problems with setting respawns correctly. I thought that animal do not respawn, but they are respawnin and they also "make" offsprings. It depends on Ylands Built you have, but in first Steam release animals respawned after few weeks even if you killed all of them (or maybe because very oftem animal spawn underground, so, you could say you killed them all, but in fact, they are in the caves and they can reproduce or cause respawns). In the fist Steam version animals, especially sharks were reproducing like crazy - and I think it was fun... I heard that animal will not respawn if you kill of a kind - but, after few months on my island wild animals eventually respawned (at last one panther and few wolves - and I'm sure my island hd no dangerous animals at all - at last on the surface). Later I heard someone guessing that animals are procreating if placed in the same spot for a while (I have no idea for how long or what conditions have to be made, but I managed to trap last time two boars in small box made of logs and... indeed - few days later there was three of them! Later I tried the same trick with crabs (that was easy - I just dig a hole in the ground and catch 3 crabs) - after few days there was 4 crabs. Bunnies seems to multiply as crazy. Unfortunatelly last update destroyed everything - sleeping stops the time (plants do not grow, you do not need to eat, animals are not respawning anymore). So, if you want to see if animals are respawning - you cannot just sleeep for few days or weeks - you have to be awaken all the time. I hope it's a bug and will be fixed and sleeping mechanics will be repaired. I understand MP gamers, but stopping time isn't good solution for any player - solo or MP. Additionally Devs added something they described as: "if animals wander too far from their original spawning point - these will be moved back". That is very bad idea, because whole point is to move animals where we want these and in my case - to trap dangerous animals far from my base, without killing them. Now animals can "officially" dissappear and spawn again. This is stupid, I must say. Animals are very buggy for now. For example I spent hours building big traps for animals to move them when I want them to be, but it works only if you are close to them. If you are on the other side of the island and go back - you will see that even animals closed in boxes dissappear and appear in different places. Additionally after last update most seagulls spawn in water - and they are trapped there forever. I don't know if birds multiply, but I found some places, where there was three seagulls, for example. So... for now, the only way to move animals (except for horses) is to open your world in the editor and move or delete and spawn animals when you want them to be. I have no idea how Sea Urchins, Starfish or Oysters multiply. It would be great to make it possible to make Oyster farms (for example by placing them very close to each other. I've made such farms, but because sleeping in Explore mode doesn't work anymore - I had no time to count these. Also, it's very easy to lure sharks into one place, so, my plan for today is to lure as many sharks to one place as possible - close the trap and see if they multiply. Last time I managed to multiply wolves, by luring two in a trap made of bushes. So, in short - animals do respawn and also can multiply, but how it works isn't clear to me. Easiest way to check it would be use creative mode or editor and close some animals in small cages.... And then count these... I hope that Devs are working on ways to catch animals alive and/or tame these. I'd love to see parrots, tamed wolfes (I tried to feed them with meat - but they eat it only from time to time - I don't know why. Vultures are easiest to observe that this actually works (I mean - predators eat meat lying around). In early Yland predatorw were hunting other animals... Sad, but not it seems to be removed completly. Also, I wonder is eggs in nest actually are eggs and if you leave these alone birds will spawn? I never saw it. It would be nice if we could move nests... and actually have some birds in these... Ostriges and ostrig eggs would be fun... And last my problem with animals are mutated animals - do they multiply as other animals? They are the most dangerous, but these are the only source of Ylandium if you collected all crystals (btw. anyone ever observed if crystals respawn at all?). It would be great if we could trap mutated animals and "produce" them. Hope to hear from you all! Happy Ylanding! ComR If you don't mind, I'd like to list a few animal which would be great addition to the future game (with my humble ideas why): 1) Horse. Whaaaat? We have horsies! Yup! But, wouldn't it be great to have pack horses, so your horse could help you carrrying stuff around? 2) Dolphins... It would be nice to have friendly animals around too when sailing. 3) For now sharks are very aggressive - this is not fair. Sharks are not aggressive, they are predators, true, but we are predators too. Devs made great thing allowing us to avoid aggressive animals and scary them of - we don't have to kill them. Do the same with sharks. And BTW.: if you are on the raft, boat or under water you cannot defend yourself. Spears should be able to reach enemies from a distance. Sharks can easily destroy my raft, but I cannot reach them. We should be able to use at least knives and spear underwater and later - pneumatic harpoons. For now it's impossible to fight sharks in open water without any kind of cheat or trick (or powerful gun). 4) Goats.... yes, I know, you are working on taming goats and milk... 5) Wolves - we should be able to tame wolves, by leaving them food (meat, but we had bones before - it would be fantastic to tame a wolf, who would help you defend and hunt). 6) Ducks, chickens - just animals you could catch and keep. So, stealing eggs wouldn't be important anymore. 7) Sheeps, llamas and Dromadary. They could give you wool, you could use as flax, cottton or sisal agave leaves. Additionally you would use their meet or use dromedars just like horses in Desert Bioms. 8) Dogs - I'm sure you are working on these already, not all dogs are "evil". So.. skip it, people. 9) Different kind of fish - some as Tuna, for example - allowing you to have something to eat for many days, sometimes Herrings or even Sardines - so you need something more to stay alive and sometimes old shoe. 10) Mushrooms, I love mushrooms and I love cooking in games... Yes, most mushrooms are almost impossible to plant, but champignion, is the exception. and I think you should use this exception. To grow champignion you need manure (well, I think we don't need it in Ylands) champignion mycelium (simply - champignion), hey and water. Because we can't use water in Ylands yet, maybe we could "produce" "champignion mycelium" - as simple seed, by using hay and champignion. That would be great source for mushroom stew - which - is now possible to do! Many people, even on Youtube think that mushrooms are just rubbish of the Earth.. I'm sure Bohemians think a bit different, as we Sclavinians mostly love mushrooms.. am I right?? I hope so! 11) Cats - I guess you are working on cats too. Lynx, for example, cats, but not aggressive. 12) People - the real, most aggresssive animals on Earth. From friendly primitive tribes/friendly loners to whole friendly or not firendly at all tribes... All The Best... ComR

    Magic blossom seem to never respawn - and it's impossible to plant these, even with magic - I hope Devs will allow us to magically "move" or plant new ones, not only because some Worlds are almost without these, but also because you can easily destroy anything by mistake...

    Actually Devs seem to have problems with setting respawns correctly. I thought that animal do not respawn, but they are respawnin and they also "make" offsprings. It depends on Ylands Built you have, but in first Steam release animals respawned after few weeks even if you killed all of them (or maybe because very oftem animal spawn underground, so, you could say you killed them all, but in fact, they are in the caves and they can reproduce or cause respawns). In the fist Steam version animals, especially sharks were reproducing like crazy - and I think it was fun... I heard that animal will not respawn if you kill of a kind - but, after few months on my island wild animals eventually respawned (at last one panther). Later I heard someone guessing that animals are procreating if placed in the same spot for a while (I have no idea for how long or what conditions have to be made, but I managed to trap last time two boars in small box made of logs and... indeed - few days later there was three of them! Later I tried the same trick with crabs (that was easy - I just dig a hole in the ground and catch 3 crabs) - after few days there was 4 crabs. Bunnies seems to multiply as crazy. Unfortunatelly last update destroyed everything - sleeping stops the time (plants do not grow, you do not need to eat, animals are not respawning anymore). So, if you want to see if animals are respawning - you cannot just sleeep for few days or weeks - you have to be awaken all the time. I hope it's a bug and will be fixed and sleeping mechanics will be repaired. I understand MP gamers, but stopping time isn't good solution for any player - solo or MP. Additionally Devs added something they described as: "if animals wander too far from their original spawning point - these will be moved back". That is very bad idea, because whole point is to move animals where we want these and in my case - to trap dangerous animals far from my base, without killing them. Now animals can "officially" dissappear and spawn again. This is stupid, I must say. Animals are very buggy for now. For example I spent hours building big traps for animals to move them when I want them to be, but it works only if you are close to them. If you are on the other side of the island and go back - you will see that even animals closed in boxes dissappear and appear in different places. Additionally after last update most seagulls spawn in water - and they are trapped there forever. I don't know if birds multiply, but I found some places, where there was three seagulls, for example. So... for now, the only way to move animals (except for horses) is to open your world in the editor and move or delete and spawn animals when you want them to be. I have no idea how Sea Urchins, Starfish or Oysters multiply. It would be great to make it possible to make Oyster farms (for example by placing them very close to each other. I've made such farms, but because sleeping in Explore mode doesn't work anymore - I had no time to count these. Also, it's very easy to lure sharks into one place, so, my plan for today is to lure as many sharks to one place as possible - close the trap and see if they multiply. Last time I managed to multiply wolves, by luring two in a trap made of bushes. So, in short - animals do respawn and also can multiply, but how it works isn't clear to me. Easiest way to check it would be use creative mode or editor and close some animals in small cages.... And then count these... I hope that Devs are working on ways to catch animals alive and/or tame these. I'd love to see parrots, tamed wolfes (I tried to feed them with meat - but they eat it only from time to time - I don't know why. Vultures are easiest to observe that this actually works (I mean - predators eat meat lying around). In early Yland predatorw were hunting other animals... Sad, but not it seems to be removed completly. Also, I wonder is eggs in nest actually are eggs and if you leave these alone birds will spawn? I never saw it. It would be nice if we could move nests... and actually have some birds in these... Ostriges and ostrig eggs would be fun... And last my problem with animals are mutated animals - do they multiply as other animals? They are the most dangerous, but these are the only source of Ylandium if you collected all crystals (btw. anyone ever observed if crystals respawn at all?). It would be great if we could trap mutated animals and "produce" them. Hope to hear from you all! Happy Ylanding!   15. Hi, This is "cosmetic" bug, but now most of the trees (for example tall cornifer), do not show what is it and I have to remember how trees I need looks. This is not very horrible thing, but it's gone and sometimes I just need to find seeds... BTW. Items in inventory sometimes are still messed up - inventory slot is empty, with a number of items and bitmap is below the inv. window. Clicking on slot or bitmap doesn't work anymore. Especially for modding tools, so we could not only suggest, but also fix small bugs in the game as quantities of seeds, wrong descriptions, wrong attributes or "sizes" (some items are bigger than they are, some items are there, but cannot be seen or taken etc. I thing that many little bugs could be fixed just by community and help Devs a bit. I'm waiting, I'm waiting!

I guess many of us pferef different waking up hours, but I used to use them as they were needed - for exploring different time, in winter different time, during storms - different time...   18. Yes. And sometimes it's very important to wake up just before sunrise to prepare long trip. Additionally, some bioms have longer days and some shorter days... Also... It's good to pland your fields and sleep few days to see grown trees and plants...
  19. Additionally, after longer exploring map stops to update at all. You can see where you are, but map around you is plain beige colour. Restarting game changes nothing.
  20. If you kill trader you gain all you can take from him, but you loose trader... Loosing trader forever would be very bad, but if he will be back ater we weeks - that should be painfully enought, don't you think? If you have vendor around everyday - you can make good money and buy things you need, but if you do not have anything and vendor is reach - maybe killing vendor would be good idea for starting the game. At last Ylands could have options, like "Don't starve": "Many resorces", "less resources", rich vendors", "no vendors", "invincible vendors", "aggressive enemies", "no enemies" and so on. There is noo agrument why not such settings for Explore and MP games, right? It works well in Rimworld and many other games. Addidionally, they are people who like "hardcore survival games"- I'm not one of them, but different sets of otions would be great. Custom games are always fun... All The Best, ComR

  22. True! At least now we can make candles, stews and soups. Still waiting for boiled corn and corn flour. But... still annoying thing - simple items are in the game, but we cannot make them - as you said. Still there is no pizza, Samurai Armour and Katana is removed. Yes, I understand it's still early stage, but some items are very easy to fix, vide: You still cannot make pile of hay made of grass - even though we have pitchforks (this is the way of making hay, right?). If you want to make straw roof - it's almost impossible. Some plants give you one seed (desert tall grass) - it's a shame. And it wopuld be nice if desert tall grass would give you hay - not grass. And... why drying rack was removed??? Making jerkys, dried fish and hay from grass was very usefull. Simple paint kit, allowing you to paint for example one item - to make chest looking different - was good idea. Now we need ultra science to make stupid paintgun. Paintgun, terraformer and drill are good for creative mode or Steampunk play, but if you want to play with promitive technology - this is useless. Also it should be possible to make flint pistol, flint gun and blunderbuss with blacksmith station - no need for steel. It should be not easy - for example two flints, log, 2-3 iron bars, 1 copper bar (it's historically accurate) should be enought. Making gun powder is already a challenge. All The Best, ComR
