Other solution would be to not ask for password if someone connected to the server in a recent specified time. logging in daily for instance. -

Wonder if it's related to issues with energy. Even steam engines can be used to power lights and workstations. -
Lanterns are great, the never burn out. May require a sand quarry to get several going out to sea.

There isn't a source for oil in the game yet. Whales could provide that. But for a more pacifist style of play, I would like to see wildlife interact with each other, Including sea life. There are accounts of dolphins protecting people from sharks. I can see this being added to the game. Personally I favor not killing animals but interacting with them in other ways. -

I suppose Aqua Man could put in an appearance, but that may violate some copyrights. This, this is just a game, right? Didn't expect to see animal rights people get triggered here. -
A wind turbine and some well placed lamps could also serve in this function.

Suggestion: options for generating explore map

Will we eventually have options available in creating an explore map? Would be nice to pick starting biome, min and max settings for number of islands, resource amount/scarcity, maybe whether ore can regenerate. It's this gonna be available in a future update?- 2 replies

Guess we'll find out how the tool belt works, since it's likely gonna be in next major update. Wonder what we'll need to craft one.

I can see tents as an alternative to the player generator. Log out inside and you won't take damage, but it has a small foot print and can't be placed within an area with working player generator.

A cow level would be cool. I'll take while chickens for now though. Maybe a walrus. No, not the one from Carrier Command gaea Mission. -
The inventory is already unrealistic. A building log and a blade of grass occupy the same inventory space. If we're talking realism here, we shouldn't be able to hold as much as we do, not without a pack of some kind.

The nodes and energy gates also consume a point of energy as well. Once you're able to build generators, they'll provide multiple connect points so you don't need splitters immediately.

My idea is this. Plants and trees often drops seeds that sprouts and create new plants nearby. This allows nature to do something that we're required to do for foliage and trees to expand around themselves. I'd love to see this type of addition into the game.

I'd also like to see other energy variants besides stoves. An arc furnace would be good use of that generator -
I think when some off-roading options are added for vehicles, we're going to see more mobile bases for land and not just out on the water. What workstations were you able to fit into your camper?

Don't know if you've messaged the staff yet for a dedicated server client, but you can also Post In this thread to get access to it. What kind of pvp is it? Vehicle based perhaps?

I'd like a single island to have multiple biomes. Putting temperate, desert, and taiga together should be doable. -

At the moment there is only a beta version, command line, and quite buggy. The password won't be mentioned here. If you gotta try the DS, there's a topic that was started in general forums to ask to have the beta and test it out. Ane can provide more info, so ask her about using the dedicated server.

Have you considered using the editor to make exploration harder? It cuts both ways.
