RESOLVED Remove the energy streams completely.

Could the energy not pulse as it's powered, so switch it on then the beam shows and slowly fades out over a few secs or give us some kind of way to distinguish switches etc. The display blocks could have been used as identifiers and power lights but they have no light options apart from green
  2. The issue is that the ability to just change it like that at any time ruins the point of survival and would fall more under creative, the barrier is a kind of middle ground for a base )though it's annoying that once a locations picked you can't change it, but that's for good reason) If you think you'll want to make a lot of changes often in the save, open it in the editor and spawn in an annihilator then only use it for that purpose in game, it will mean you have to recraft the block though.

    Propeller Pack Looks

I have the same opinion as this, Ane replied to my post saying they want to make it chargeable so that will make a difference, no more permanent godly air mode

    Sneak Peek #46

Would like the option for the editor to auto save or something. It seems prone to random crashes which can lose a lot of progress
  5. This would suit one of my wants too, it's frustrating having a jagged edge next to a flat ground

    Travel between Ylands suggestion

The games supposed to make you think before you do something, sailing away from a home base you need to be prepared for the journey. As Bigglermon said maybe something endgame could be added but I think it would need to be expensive to make and hard to learn, accessing it too early would just ruin the game.

    Here's some Feedback

The storms are so loud ! The type of noise and volume of it grates on me that much that when it stops I get goosebumps every time
  8. Is there a way to change the colour displayed on the display block ? currently it seems to be white when off and green when powered. Energy seems to have a maximum amount of connections too, a large generator has 170+ energy remaining but cant power more than around 10 display blocks (I'm assuming) due to its other connections, a new generator with no other connections can power more blocks with no alterations to their connections apart from the generator they're connected too. I've since confirmed something I mentioned in my list too, if I have 1 generator connected to a set up and has 5 drain, then add another generator it also has 5 drain so using multiple generators through an energy and connector is currently pointless meaning I could build 10 generators and power no more than I could with 1 and that we would need multiple generators and circuits across a build instead of 1 power location. A couple of suggestions in the same area Charge gauge A gauge on screen for any item being used that requires a charge, just a small marker with a needle showing from empty to full so we have some idea whats going on instead of having to check it in the inventory. Energy nodes/splitter etc (images included 1 generator without and node, then each generator through and node) (images showing how regardless of remaining energy in generator it stops flowing. Reason assumed to be the amount of connections) These things are HUGE being able to connect multiples to a normal node would be nice, or its setting up a series of splitters to splitters to splitters to spread out the energy and they take up so much space and get so messy! The small switches also have no indication which way the levers going to move even though it only moves to one side. Either a smaller thing such as a 1x1x1 cube with 1 side a colour and 2 others another colour or show energy in/out rather than the current set up or a junction box of 2x2x2 (or whatever) where inside we can set up power connections and splitters without having them individually across our build. Cold energy If you have ice blocks in the distance and an energy bean near you which you can look through towards the ice, the energy will appear behind the ice blocks. The recharger is enormous Not much about this really, it's just of gigantic proportions which makes it rather annoying, a bit smaller would be nice even if it's just height wise and its still the same floor space. Propeller pack is OP As much as in some ways I love how easy it makes the game, perhaps just add a charge to it, even if its a high figure just so there's a chance it could run out and something so you still have to pay attention when you're using it instead of an airborne untouchable angel of death.

    energy issues and limitations

I'm in explore and crafted mine but it has infinite power and no mention of charge on its info page
  10. I played this around 4 hours ago but when I try to launch now im getting a fatal login error saying "OAuth/Login: Code: -503 API Code: Message: HTTP Error Code: 503" As soon as I posted I tried again and the game worked

    energy issues and limitations

I used AND this was just a testing set up though, my reason for testing is in my main build I have a room I intended to fill with generators (there's currently 3) so theres an energy line to my building I can spread from there as one circuit instead of numerous ones, would the OR gate allow that ? I've also had other limitations from where I was just testing (images) where 200 display blocks wont power from 1 generator node ones through a splitter to the first node of each board and ones just a straight connection (theres 100 display blocks per board) EDIT: Just tested with and OR node they still drain equally the same as the AND one.

    [suggestion] Tool Belt

just imagining someone walking around with a shovel, spade, pickaxe, axe and a saw on a toolbelt and a sword in hand
  13. I couldn't find a hole when I loaded your save, if you can see a white/see through triangle in the floor, try and dig it out or cover it with something like dirt and flatten it again, they're not so common anymore but still appear occasionally and normally disappear if you change the surface

    [suggestion] Tool Belt

I agree for things like the chisel, glass blower thing and maybe the small hammer as they're kind of secondary items most of the time but I think it's good we have to think about what to take with most of the other tools, if you're doing gardening you wouldn't take a pick axe, you'd have a shovel and spade and I think if the tool belt can hold any of them it's just dumbing the game down too much.
  15. It's another list, I tend to feel like single suggestions per post are easier for teams to find again if need be and any additions to a list once it been read once tend to me missed entirely, but if I made them all as single posts I'd be spamming the forum so they're here (I can create a new post for each if that would be easier) From playing I noticed how heavy my game was getting and started trying to fix it and help it run, bringing certain things to my attention that could prevent someones save from getting as bad as mine is, I also stream and that's where most of these came to my attention so I can probably demonstrate each of these issues if needed. There's others such as being able to mark maps and hide energy beams but I've seen them mentioned plenty of times so haven't included those and have tried not to include things like flying vehicle type suggestions which require big additions and are likely planned far in the future. If any suggestions/feedback are already dealt with somehow and I've missed how to then please correct me since I can't imagine there's anyone that can't be surprised by something in this game Suggestiony type - Please pause I know this has been requested a lot, but having to exit to main menu to pause single player is frustrating when bringing up the menu could just pause the game. Volume options ! This is a big one for me, since the weather can be EXTREMELY loud, I try to stream the game and it's like someones turned an un-tuned radio up full blast, being able to lower engine type noises would be nice too, sometimes we want to just chill and hover around the island without the prop pack being so loud or do some digging without surprise volume increase from an echo A vacuum for mass picking up items This comes from trying to repair my islands to help my game, picking up hundreds of stacks of 2x sand is not so fun, an item like a vacuum being eventually craftable would be amazing, like a leaf blower with the backpack looking thing, just to suck everything up then we can take stacks out of it op just set it to destroy so we can clear up our islands a bit and probably improve a fair amount of performance. - Adding to this a water tank upgrade could be built so people looking to add water inland for their pools or something could suck some up from 1 place, then empty the tank where they want it. Terraformer and annihilator in explore Being able to get hold of versions of these would benefit explore, the terraformer could need you to supply it the materials your filling and any it removes you don't get the item, it just takes it away, this would let us repair the damage such as from mining so much better. They would both need energy too, perhaps the annihilator has a low count to balance it out a bit. Superglue No idea what else this item could be honestly, but the ability to lock down free placed items, I've picked up items be accident so many times trying to do something else and it's not an item I want to be able to move anymore than the rest of my furniture, I also wonder if this could help with the load if it would be easier for the game to recall a structure as a big block instead of 200 1x1x1 cubes individually. Window additions (+other blocks) Here I mean a way for windows to connect since they aren't as thick as a usual block and something to connect them over corners, I wanted a glass surrounding but had to settle for ice blocks to fill the corners, unfortunately ice blocks have no sloped half block versions so it's made it more blocky than would have been nice Despawn timer Something which may help instead of adding items up pick up the amount of clutter dropped from digging, just despawn certain (or all, whichever) items after a set period of time if the player never interacts with them. Something to edit walls I can flatten the floor with my shovel, but next to my nice smooth ground is a dangerous looking cliff edge, it would be nice to be able to flatten their sides too Feedback type- item description page should item show condition When I hover over an item in my inventory it tells em the condition, so I click it and the info box opens where I have the option to repair, nowhere here does it tell me the condition though so I have to then go back to the inventory to check if I need to repair again or it's fixed fully. A switch on the flashlight (including helmets with them on) to turn them on or off or have them come on earlier and off later. I tend to find myself stuck in darkness because it's not dark enough to trigger the light on my guardian helmet yet it's too dark too see what's going on whereas a lamp is permanently on, an option on the action wheel when a flashlight item is equipped so we can turn it on and off ourselves would be useful. Sinful Ylanders and their gluttony My Ylander seems to need to eat a couple of weeks worth of meat in a day, even if he's just sleeping all day. The meat itself is massive, what's he doing with it all ? If I feed him other food he seems to need a constant supply of food going down his throat, the hunger seems a bit excessive (some sign of their hunger like a bar would be useful too) Sinful Ylanders and their wrath I assume it's not just my line of Ylanders but they have an obsession with punching everything, I plant some seeds and he punches the last one, I don't need them intimidated, I've never had a rowdy plant issue. This also goes for when placing objects and crafting places. Crafting recipes After deciding to do a slightly large build with blue steel this issue became very apparent, the recipes don't always make sense, every blue steel item needs 5 coal and 5 iron ingots, whether it's a 1x1x1 cube or a 4x4x1 square. The resources used for the little cubes make me emotional. Animals under the map After going into my save in the editor to try and fix my world a bit (11.5GB ram to run it was a bit ot) I found masses of animals a long way under my island, maybe they were spawns or something but deleting them didn't seem to effect my islands population at all so if they're not spawn markers or something then I'm not sure what's happened. Potions recipe page There's the tab when you've found a potion which tells you the ingredients needed and says things like "any grain" but if you try to craft it it won't accept any grain unless you have the same type of grain you had when you found the recipe the first time. A specific warning that you're about to craft a ship somewhere you will regret I know there's a warning, but with no idea how deep it actually needs mistakes can be made such as building in too shallow water and needing to dig the ship out and incase there's someone who hasn't noticed yet... do NOT dig near water your sea levels go extremely weird and without spawning the terraformer you cannot fix it again. When you rag doll water loses all it's power I fell, clipped the edge of my ship, fell of the side and straight to the bottom of the water and took fall damage as if the water wasn't there. It hurt and number 12 nearly died. Seagulls fly too low I've had these hit my ship before so have seen their godly power, today when one went through the front entrance and into my ship it was a terrifying experience and I was to scared to kill it for a while because I didn't want to break anything else. If they just flew higher it wouldn't be an issue how they abuse their powers. Stack consistency Something impossible to judge currently, can I hold 100 of these or are they single units only ? this extends to the crafting pages too, sometimes I expect a stack and get 1 item (damn you blue steel) sometimes I expect a single item and get big stacks (200 ice blocks surprise!!!) Editor I know the editor is known to need addressing but addition of a map, ability to move to player and a way of turning it to day so we can see would all be nice. A way to start game physics would be good too, when repairing the ground under water it makes the water to crazy, if you try adding water in the editor you can make towers out of it as it won't flow (till you go near it in game and it comes crashing down along with your frames) The editor also often lies about saving changes, which is rude. Cave logic I know the idea is not to live in a cave, but I can so I will. They have strange goings on though light will change suddenly a few steps in as light and heat no longer penetrates onto the giant opening of the cave, so within a couple of footsteps I can go from fine in bright sunlight to dark and freezing. Propeller pack when not in use It would be nice to have it either automatically fold the blades away or have an option on the action wheel since equipping it every time will get frustrating but getting stuck on doorways is frustrating too.

Map not saving when it says it saved

I've had this too, editor seems to save occasionally as as some point it kept some changes I made, but I've tried repairing the floor on my explore mode a few times in editor, saving a couple of times manually and saving on exit, reopen it to find it how it was before I started again. Using save as prongs up the prompt for a new title and says saving but doesn't actually make a save either
  17. The newly added generator when placed will let you deconstruct thing in its area instantly with a hammer, though it's one time use so meant for your house where you might want to keep making changes.

Editor, terraforming ocean leaves air bubble

Around my home my whole sea level has dropped due to me digging out a ship, the boat still floats where it should but there's no actual water there, this is also paired with the random air bubbles left underneath the remaining water. This is something that's been that way since the beginning so I'm not sure how easy it is to make the water behave more water like, if it's a limitation or just more important things to add and fix first.

    A couple of bugs

disclaimer - I'm aware it's pre-release, I'm not complaining or want anyone to spend time trying to sort any of my files, it's just a list which can be ignored or maybe bring attention to something - When playing yesterday I realised if I used the Ylandium power pack (only used the large 600 version not tried the others) to recharge the mining drill and I had the packs in a stack, afterwards the whole stack would just be a single depleted pack, luckily I learned this with the cube and not actually crafting properly which would have been emotional haha - Some items appear in front of their names when hovered in the inventory such as dirt - When hovering in inventory I often get text over the preview, my first game it was the strange skull text even though I not longer had the item, the text just appeared over other items preview image - In editor mode I clicked my character and it moved at light speed so I had no idea where it had gone, this save file no longer loads in explore mode, I assume because my character has vanished far from that world - I've also had other common reported ones like the ladders on the boats falling and sending me into the floor/not allowing the boat to move - The white dot in the middle of my screen seems often pointless, most tools aim in the green cross that appears above and too the left of it making going in a straight line when mining (especially with the mining drill) extremely hard, and trying to fill in mistake with dirt often results in a massive overfill - Container inventories overhang the window, resolution is fine and it's full screen but any adjustment seems to make no difference, just hangs off the left side of the screen Other little niggles I've seen the same or similar mentioned elsewhere are Obviously the compass people have mentioned, the maps not overly detailed and sense of direction is confusing especially at sea The map in game cleared as soon as I used the editor which was a bit frustrating Being able to aim directly down would be nice, I have to dig at angles to make a straight drop Water is honestly terrifying, I tried to fill a moat and flooded my island instead with some water looking like floating jelly in the air at random locations and not much water still in the moat and digging the ground under water does all kinds of magic The tools logic goes a big crazy sometimes (or might be my logic) flattening the floor in what would be a basement dug into a cave and the area clipped a section near a wall which just flattened a triangle if a mountain leaving a hole down to my basement like a space laser had been fired at me Going 2 metres into a cave causes blackout even though the cave has a massive opening so should be light in there The mining hat's light is useful but would be nice to have a control for it because when it decides to turn on and off seems really random and confusing
