Suggestion: Teleporters

I would like to suggest to add to the game teleporters

Ylandium Teleporters

Two craftable types: One type sends you to a another teleporter. The teleporter can be set to 1-way or 2-way. They are paired with a 4 digit code, programmed like a  combination padlock. If more than 1 pair of teleporters have the same code then it sends you to random matching one.

Usage example: Newcomers spawn into the map and jump into a teleporter which takes them to a random island in the game to set up ther base

 

The second type is a teleporter that teleports people into a different game. local hosted or shared. So, if this game needs a lot of rework to become a mmo then at least we can teleport into a different game from one game so when the server hosted game gets wiped or whatever the local game is still there and we dont lose everything that we have built.

Usage example:  Players put down a personal barrier and build a house on a central server and a teleporter takes guests their private game. If somebody griefs their own teleporter the central server owner can boot them off.

When creating script-driven Exploration maps, I often include a special map room that allows teleportation to other islands (For admin use only of course!)

It would be great however, to have a legitimate, craftable teleporter for explore mode. :)

I wouldn't mind these being in Exploration as long as they could be disabled. I think the Ylands are already too small and close together - so Teleporters (outside of admin use) seem like a bad idea if they can't be disabled.

Adam say they are working to make maps bigger again in near future
