@ Velocifer .....Actually i am considering doing that with my ship ... put aboard it weapons and tools and some resources that would help me survive and rebuild... and move it across. I believe it can be done. If it doesn't work, then i will use plan B ..the cube I find Ylands a great way to wind down and experience excitement and relaxation and creative pleasure..... and I have put hours into a game. The outside weather where i live is currently not being kind to someone like me, especially when there's hot dry dust filled winds outside and you suffer from Asthma! So sitting inside in an air conditioned room with a game like this is more mentally stimulating than watching TV filled with ads for weight loss, life insurance, and marvelous cheap useless household gadgets that work miracles!. ....( its a miracle if they work! ) Starting from zero in a new game can be frustrating, and after 300+ hours, its more encouraging to restart with a little bit more knowledge etc. Another plan i Have is an expansion on your house idea.... make a small bamboo hut full of bamboo chests with things in them for the new afterlife, and do as you suggested. As Ale commented in a previous response ... there could be one day a "visitor" option for you to invite people to your Yland just for a tour around ... no combat, and the visitor doesn't bring or take anything. Now that would be really cool

I discovered a tiny Yland between 3 other large ones ..it had a huge cave open at the top ..like a volcanic crater. I could see crystals and ylandium down there but no other way of getting inside other than digging a path down. Scouting around i discovered a hut perched on a cliff...but around it were 3 snoozing bears. so i got some logs and constructed a bridge from a nearby ridge and onto the roof of the hut ....it was made of planks which i could collect. inside i found a ylandium cell and some pictures etc. and the usual things . I returned to mt ship ... and sailed home ... the 3 bears were still asleep as i left and were unaware om little goldilocks me nearby. Back home i managed to craft a propeller pack with the ylandium cylinder..and returned. The 3 bears were still sleeping and no porridge in sight ..so i flew around with my new pack ..and discovered not far from the bears... the original owner of the hut ... "Here lies John Doe" I also found several other abandoned places with artifacts... with predators nearby that did not become aware of my stealth approach. I eventually explored all that Yland, and its single huge crater cave gathering heaps of crystals ..and noting massive resources of coal copper saltpeter and iron ore... for future supplies if needed. I returned home... And not a single animal was harmed ... Greenpeace will love me! Those bears were still snoring when i left... they didn't know i had been there. In memory of John Doe, who provided nourishment for 3 bears, it seems ....but who buried him?

More fun if you don't go around shooting everything
kimbuck replied to kimbuck's topic in General Discussion
I remember ane saying if theres one still alive, they can respawn. I have wiped out dozens of mutants in a cave, and there was one branch i could not get to but could see in ... there was a mutant behind a rock and i was out of ammunition... i returned to my base reloaded gun and crossbow to the max with ammo and returned .... and literally saw these mutants respawning as i tried to kill them! ...in that release you had to gut the corpse to get the ylandium bones, and after you finished off a mutant , it would stop glowing. but as you approached, gutting knife in hand , another would jump up from behind the corpse. In o.6 release when you kill one now they just form a pile of dust ..and animals ..meat and carcass. -
Hmmm would that also mean its possible for predators to climb aboard moored ships! I have had bears sitting on my ships gangway watching me ...also a mutant leopard on one Yland....

RESOLVED Large Ship Capsized during building...
kimbuck replied to Kathryn Davidson's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
I have encountered something similar...(others too) where if you jump near the bow of the ship you appear to come onto contact with the physics around the bow of the ship and you get a "real kick up the butt" shoot skywards and you crash back to earth, often perishing in the process. If the ships anchor is not down, the ship will do impromptu ballet as well, usually righting itself or settling down after a re-log. The sinking thing is new though, and worth reporting. -
Multiplayer suggestions to make it more playable
kimbuck replied to Desolation's question in Suggestions & Feedback
Unfortunately with MP games you will always get the infantile minded idiot whose sole ambition is to try and look smart by destroying the creations of others. Its because they have to steal and destroy as they lack the intelligence and brain power to create anything, and its easy for the mentally lazy s to steal from others than to earn it through a bit of work. Sadly its real life infiltrating games. The people who do this have no future here...and in the real world. All you can do is persist, and provide feed back to the developers so they can block this type of childish behavior. Good luck!- 3 replies

[Suggestion] This game should have Chicken..
kimbuck replied to V-Alfred's question in Suggestions & Feedback
and the need to protect the chickens from wolves! On some Ylands i have encountered goats in pens... And also why not also have sheep ? for either food or wool for materials? Wool clothing? now thats a plus for cold areas!! -
Its not uncommon to return to your base and find a horse, goat rabbit or crab sneaking around inside. They can keep you awake at night! Seagulls too! Once i had a wolf that had slaughtered me follow the re-incarnated me back to my base ...luckily had a spear inside the door and was able to defeat him the third time ... he got me the second time just as i made it to my front doorway so the next returning me arrived by avoiding sharks and crept in though another door, grabbed a spear nearby and dispatched the wolf standing in the doorway gaurding my remains and worldly possessions. But it seems there's another threat ... Twice i have encountered mutants that came out at night and stalked around my base! And it seems to be happening more... on some Ylands i have had Mutants sitting on the shore and watching my ship when i woke up in the morning. I have had Mutants emerge at night form the caves near my base and stand nearby watching my base in the early morning. Fortunately i had doors fitted and closed, and manage to dispose of the mutants with my crossbow from the upper story. So ... Think twice where you put you base ! ...preferably not too close to a cave entrance... and fit doors and close them at night and when you leave. Otherwise you might walk in to sleep and find a Mutant Alpha hiding under your bed! I recall some time back that Ales and Ane mentioned about mutants making the night more dangerous... It looks like its happening

Ok there are suggestions for more female clothing... a compass How about... A harpoon gun for dealing with sharks? Gangplank that's movable for boarding / leaving moored ships With the new colors, how about stained glass windows? Thin iron/steel panels for cladding or building.... Ability to rotate panels etc 45 degrees? curved pathways/roadways ..that is, panels that are shaped like segments of a circle/annulus that can be rotated to form curves.. I am sure to think up more stuff to annoy the developers with

You already have mutant animals hiding in caves because of the Ylandium... how about mutant sea creature near sunken wrecks or other places that have yalandium generators... like giant squid? they could drop a ylandium bone which can be ground to powder and use in a ylandium refinery. perhaps a mutant bat near the floating cube... The addition of harpoons/spear-guns for underwater defense would be needed in the underwater scenarios Also would be nice if the map could be read while controlling a ship .. without releasing the helm..

LoL at blowing up a cave! i tried same but it was apparently under the ocean and the roof collapsed and it flooded! No animals or crystal could be retrieved. That Seagull thing with ships can be scary. At least we no longer have sharks climbing onto the 2 3 4 tier decks to attack us. The weather effect slider would be a good idea ... sometimes those storms give the eardrums a rattle. The energy lines ... perhaps they only show if you are carrying an energy linker? The energy lines can be a distraction.. The Positive side of all these things is the Devs are aware of them, have acknowledged them, and have fixes underway or planned. For an early access game , its a lot less buggy than some others i tried ...and gave upon through frustration. I am sticking with Ylands to see where it leads...

RESOLVED BUG. Im IN the ship and can not moove.
kimbuck replied to Reinhard Schmidlin's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
For the record ..i have a bed on my ship .its placed at the stern and can be clicked on should i fall into the water behind the ship! I also found that a stool placed on a platform at the waterline at the side of your ship is a quick way of getting aboard when there's not so friendly sharks circling waving their Diner's cards If you can place stairs at the ships sides facing towards the bow and a platform near the bow, its easier to embark/disembark when exploring... you ease your ship close to the shoreline and then use dirt to build a causeway from the shore to just in front of the platform. The stool on the platform end is not shown in this older screenshot but its a quick and easy way of saving your Butt if a shark attacks.. and you are in the water ..or if you get stuck in the ships hull -
RESOLVED Savegame with known/located hole in world
kimbuck replied to creepy13's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
The falling through the earth issue is apparently known and there are obviously several things that cause it. The devs have been fixing them one at a time but it is apparently a complex issue. Its also not so common now. It seems to occur when horses are involved ... i never tame or ridden a horse after it first happened to me , and since then the issue has not returned. The more info you can supply to the Devs, the quicker they can ascertain the cause. Its a frustrating bug... especially when you "disappear" and lose a lot of equipment/resources you were carrying -
If you run a dedicated public server...

I don't use MP, but the server maintenance suggestions are welcomed and necessary. With a fresh clean welcome mat on display each log in, you will get more happy visitors -
RESOLVED BUG. Im IN the ship and can not moove.
kimbuck replied to Reinhard Schmidlin's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Try clicking on the helm ..... or one of the ladders... -
You need more turbines. .I originally encountered the same issue. but solved when i connected extra turbines by slotting in OR gates between the turbines and the input stream. Connect first turbine to one of the OR inputs...and connect the output of another OR to the remaining input on the 1st OR .. then you can connect 3 turbines and combine their power. I currently run 5 on the roof on my base using this method ..check the " dingoland" thread in community creations to see the set up ..i have 4 huge lights on each corner of the roof so i can locate my base at night.

Would it be possible ( or is it already considered ) that when you start a game, you can determine the percentages of NPC's that will be friendly or hostile? say 100% 75% 50% 25% friendly or all hostile. Or a random selection. And perhaps if you are hostile towards a friendly NPC, the percentage of hostile ones increases for every hostile incident you create.

For the last week i have been building Dingoland, utilizing all the 06 updates. I have built a base with a dockyard, an exploration ship, sailed around m,y Yland and found close by 4 more with resources of Saltpeter, coal copper and Iron, and Rubber. I Bought back some rubber seeds an now have a plantation one side of my base. One of the screenshots is a evening view, with the wind turbines and lighting in full display. Tomorrow, time to go sailing again and look for more Ylands ...according to the birds there's 3 more directions to travel and explore Merry Christmas everyone ....

How to identify where your base is..... I built it on the edge of the sea and dug back into a adjacent hillside, using the soil to "reclaim" land. The screenshot of my map shows clearly where my base/harbor is ... ( right side of Yland. ) Reclaimed land shows up as a brown area.

Agreed. Older versions of the game will be buggy and could actually discourage potential players to buy the latest version of the game. Best to get the latest version .... there are lots of You tubers now showing what can be done .. check them out and decide.

Also .. what about a functional drawbridge? it could also be used to load/unload vehicles etc onto/from ships... as well as a safe passage over a trap filled pit around your residence..
