In future you can press F10 to capture screenshots (unless binded to something else) then upload them here to share, mobile shots aren't great, but at least we can see them.

You must have read some threads around here and might be confused. The official servers will stay the same as Ane has said However some player run servers are doing a wipe at the next game update. A lot of this comes down to new features and map issues server owners have.

As a server operator i have to deal with: Daily clean up Up to 2hrs everyday checking all ylands briefly for issues Lack of garbage collection Non re-spawning plants, animals Non re-spawning of Resources Lack of a Linux server option Watching server ram reach 90% and then freaking out What i need for the Editor: The ability to teleport to players The ability to use game menu option on DS generated maps The ability to change day length As other have said , custom map with Protective barriers Starting area that's configurable, aka, safe zone for new players for a brief time, shelter etc

seems legit, price may seem good, but most of these offerings are basic and competing for resources with other servers.

The hammer should do the trick, usually if you are hitting the rock each hit make it slightly glow, i did this then realized i was just slightly off center.. making an invulnerable rock..

As for the DS, probably a reboot will solve it, or kick 2 ppl ( not saying you should do that ) As for the pics.. infected forum? god i hope not, i certainly don't follow anything Indian.. (presuming, could be wrong) I've had a random pic appear like that just once but never again.. it wasn't related to those either..

You can have him click "Region" checkbox in the list of servers, which will cut the server down to that region, the list of servers should be way shorter Other than that, when you click a server, under the little picture it should say Hosted by: This should be your steam name (if im not mistaken) -

But wouldn't these "Youtubers" be playing on their single player worlds? and if not, controlled private servers? i only see an issue if its on open/public servers. I doubt they would ever play on public servers and stay hidden away on their safety worlds. Other than that, they saying goes, if it looks to good to be true then it probably is. Also some of these "Youtubers" have had access to the game forever, getting very early copies of the game... which would also explain a lot. -
Yeah that's what i was kinda getting at, Friends in a server would trigger sleep mode , or Hosted games, Public servers would have a config option to change.

I was saying more along the lines of this, Great for friends and P2P games, not so great for public servers, that's all the reasoning behind it is, skipping the night is easy mode.. i like challenges, I've in fact sat inside a hut for 10~20mins doing nothing waiting for daylight... other times I'm scrambling back to safe spot on the other size of an yland in pitch blackness hoping not to fall into a cave or mauled by an animal. (usually after a mining session) But it adds the suspense and surprise factor or not knowing, and i don't want this game to become another minecraft...

I prefer having the nighttime in and not changed able to be honest, it adds a danger element and maybe down the track nocturnal enemies I will say having sleeping in for Friends or P2P play is fine, just not public servers, because good luck on getting everyone to sleep at once.

Well for some reason i can't look at those files, would be a great help if i could. If you setup the Config file and ini file correctly, it should work. Otherwise if its flat out refusing connection, then possibly a firewall issue. -
Pretty sure this works for anything placed inside the barrier. I have had to shuffle things around inside my barrier ( due to refurbishments ) hit it with a hammer i get everything back to the same machines/benches back I can imagine trying to get those items again, simply because bad placements..

Speaking of eating stuff, i had been on all day, exploring, discovering, and had 5 ylands discovered, almost home and the map must of tasted nice and ate it, i was devastated.. lol

did some testing, i now have a pole with a lamp on it, it actually is some distance from the coast, but i can still see it out there at night, kinda cool.
