I agree with BB and Spark above. I currently have a base on the beach and I am constantly sh*tting my pants because a shark has decided to attack me even though I'm not in the water It leaves me in a panic as I look around for predators on land just to find there's a damn shark peeking its nose out of the water down at the beach. A possible fix for this is if sharks were changed to not attack you if you're not in the water. This would also help when you're sailing on a raft/boat/ship. The attack music is helpful as it alerts you of imminent danger, but I think it needs toning down a bit. It sure gives one hell of a jump scare!

Jump on over and let me know what needs adding. Keep an eye out for missing information like stack sizes, destruction/dismantle yields, and spelling/grammar errors as well as any recipes that may have altered in a changelog and need updating. RESOLVED [YLD-9435] Healing Wounds Not Working

Just been playing on the new patch, new single player explore map. I tried healing with an aloe vera poultice after taking damage down to 1 1/2 hearts but it did not appear to heal me, only the colour in the screen returned bu the hearts staid empty. I used 2 or 3 and still nothing happened so I decided to set sail back home and by the time I got back my hearts seemed to have refilled. -
Great idea! It might even be possible to add it as an option on the terraformer or paintgun.

I agree. I never quite understood why wooden spades were never a thing in this game, kind of weird considering there is a wooden shovel and then there is also stone tools except for the shovel and spade.

From memory someone else was having a similar issue and it was to do with the stack size of the grain and it wouldn’t recognise stack sizes bigger than the exact amount necessary. Can’t remember exact details sorry -

In Editor How Do Put Objects In Chest For People To Find?

Usually double-clicking the chest will bring up the menu, from there click the edit button next to the container line. Search which item you want to put in the chest on the panel on the right of the screen and then click again on one of the slots. Ctrl-click to choose the quantity and create a stack of that particular item. You can also choose to have the chest locked by ticking the box next to Is Locked and then entering a code next to Cylinder ID. Place a key into the world and type the same code into it's Cylinder ID section, now that key is matched to that chest. -
Myself and Adrie did find that each block (the smallest block we have available) is roughly 2.73 ‘units’ though. This was found through testing the Protective Barrier area. The devs told us it was a 30x30 cube but it turns out to be 82x82 of those smallest blocks. So maybe if the editor says an Yland is at 1000, 1000 then maybe it’s actually 2730, 2730 blocks away?

Unfortunately I wasn’t that comprehensive. I used an online scatter plot maker and then used it to find the Ylands in game. The in game map doesn’t zoom out far enough to get a whole view but I was able to overlay a screenshot of several sections with the graph and it seemed to match up pretty close

Fairly certain it’s Cartesian, I used the coordinates in editor to plot out a graph of where each of the Ylands were and it seemed to be pretty accurate when in game, although all we have to work with for plotting courses is the compass when sailing which only really has North, East, South and West

I have been thinking the same thing actually! It’s a great idea, how fun would it be to find another players creation in your own world. Of course they would have to make sure it’s not full of top level gear as that would be too chesty. I like the idea of having a plaque to give credit to the creator

Which biomes in Ylands have which exclusive resources?

I’ve come up with basically the same findings but I haven’t managed to update the wiki with that information yet. Struggling to get solid info on which biomes have gold, as it’s mostly in cave systems on polar desert Ylands but I’m sure I’ve found it in other Ylands too. If anyone can validate where they have found gold with screenshots would be awesome and then I could update the wiki pages -

I've had the invisible body/floating head issue before but it fixed itself after a bit. I did not fall through the earth though. Load the save in the editor and grab your body if you can by using the Go To option and drag him back to land? Good luck! -
NPCs only show up between 8am and 6pm at certain randomly generated structures, ie. not all structures have NPCs. On most of my explore games I've had between 9-11 ylands so you might have more but you will need to check in the editor as Baz said above. Horses seem a bit buggy at the moment but horses can die if they sustain enough damage, falling from heights and maybe even walking over sea urchins (I need to test this) could eventually kill the horse. I have not seen wolves or other predators attack or kill other animals before, this may change in the future though.

I'm starting to find more of these duplicate vendors. This one scared me a bit Their name is Ruth. -
This is not my creation, it is a randomly generated structure in one of my explore games but it is EPIC. It has loads of coal and even quite a bit of ylandium dust! I love finding these mega structures, I'm kind of hoping that one day the devs will take community creations/builds and start adding them in as these randomly generated structures in the explore games because there are some seriously cool builds out there!

You could load the save into the editor and place a chest and fill it with stacks of the pigments that you need. Pigments stack to 999 from memory and you could place them in a Pigment Jar to save space. -

Maybe if we could set fire to a tree with flint lighter it would turn the tree into a burnt one and then we could harvest it as an alternative source for charcoal

I think I've encountered this too now. There were about 3 of the same NPCs standing in basically the same spot. You can just see in this photo, it is more obvious in-game when they are slightly moving -

Thanks bb cakes, I just checked and the recipe was changed and I've updated the wiki now. It only seems that the amount of ingredients was changed though, ie. there were no new ingredients added. Edit: I just checked and same goes for the Mining Drill, they have decreased the amount of each ingredient requires but the ingredients themselves are still the same
