I can’t test it out at the moment so I’ll have to get back to you on whether or not the paintgun is needed. Unless someone else on here can confirm this? Yeah the paintgun requires the locksmith table which means you need to source rubber from the rubber trees on tropical islands and then find sulphur chunks too.

That’s a good question, I haven’t looked into that since the latest update. Since we can’t craft the painting kit anymore and all then maybe we just need to craft the pigments or possibly the Paintgun!

I guess people are used to that way like in minecraft. I’m used to it now but it was confusing at the beginning.

I think the wind indicator is still being worked on and doesn’t actually function yet. More for looks right now than anything, and not necessary anymore as of 0.6 to build a functional ship.

I love the idea of the blueprints, it would definitely benefit those who are creatively challenged like me The modern amenities might not fit into the current style of the game but I could see them being potentially implemented in the future as things that could be crafted higher up in the tech tree in Survival mode. Maybe when new resources like ceramics are craftable too, out of a mixture of clay and sand or something derived from sand like silicone fired up in the kiln, so we can make lovely porcelain thrones (aka toilets), sinks and bathtubs etc.

Does it have something to do with being on your ship I wonder? Does it happen with every potion recipe or just the glow potion?

You are definitely using Magic Dust?

That’s right, it is used as a tool for crafting glass items in the Kiln which you will need to craft

Try craft a new table?

Try restarting the game, there are a few bugs with crafting. Make sure you are in the proper crafting menu and not at another workstation. Also check your Hammer isn’t broken and maybe craft a new one

Have you got the right ingredients? Check out the how to in the wiki here. Ive also noticed that if your materials are in the herb pouch then it won’t let you craft the potion until you put them into your normal inventory.

You should only need the iron ingots, sticks and a hammer in the blacksmith forge. Check if your hammer is broken and maybe craft another one. There have been a few issues with hammers in Ylands.

All of your islands may have been in the other direction. My current map has no islands to the north at all, only to the west and south

I like the idea of being able to mark or write notes on the map. Not so sure on having a key/legend though, most would have discovered the ores before discovering how to craft a map anyway. But if you have the ability to mark the map then people would be able to note down this sort of thing for themselves.

Yup I realise that, my main problem is when there isn't a free slot in the container and you can't do it that way.

In my experience, sailing in one single direction for ages is not the best method for finding new islands. Normally I climb to the highest peak on my spawn island and look for birds. However, I've always been able to see birds so I know which direction to start sailing in. In this picture you can just see 2 birds in the distance, I sailed that direction and found 2 separate islands.

In the settings, go to Controls - Active Controller and turn it off Auto-Detect and set it to Gamepad. Does this work?

Strange that you aren't seeing any birds, they normally indicate another island. Also, have you crafted a Map so you can see where you have been?
