Have you got the right ingredients? Check out the how to in the wiki here. Ive also noticed that if your materials are in the herb pouch then it won’t let you craft the potion until you put them into your normal inventory.

You should only need the iron ingots, sticks and a hammer in the blacksmith forge. Check if your hammer is broken and maybe craft another one. There have been a few issues with hammers in Ylands.

All of your islands may have been in the other direction. My current map has no islands to the north at all, only to the west and south

I like the idea of being able to mark or write notes on the map. Not so sure on having a key/legend though, most would have discovered the ores before discovering how to craft a map anyway. But if you have the ability to mark the map then people would be able to note down this sort of thing for themselves.

Yup I realise that, my main problem is when there isn't a free slot in the container and you can't do it that way.

In my experience, sailing in one single direction for ages is not the best method for finding new islands. Normally I climb to the highest peak on my spawn island and look for birds. However, I've always been able to see birds so I know which direction to start sailing in. In this picture you can just see 2 birds in the distance, I sailed that direction and found 2 separate islands.

In the settings, go to Controls - Active Controller and turn it off Auto-Detect and set it to Gamepad. Does this work?

Strange that you aren't seeing any birds, they normally indicate another island. Also, have you crafted a Map so you can see where you have been?

You can place the logs when you have them selected in your hotbar or using free place mode by pressing the V key. No, it's not as easy as Minecraft blocks but you can be way more creative in what you can make. There are a number of different building blocks that you can make using materials such as clay, marble chunks, stone chunks, sandstone chunks as well as hay! For marble, stone and sandstone blocks you need a chisel and a hammer. For brick blocks you need to use clay inside of a Kiln workstation.

I had found a sunken airplane that way but there was no loot inside that I could see. Scored a broken computer, an old shoe, a bottle, and a pair of trousers floating on the top though

Cool, I figured there was a submarine somewhere when I found that key in the caves but never managed to find it.

Just noticed that the username that shows up on both the main menu and the coyn shop is really really weird for me. Have a look at this! What does it mean? It should just say handofthesly which is my Steam username (has recently changed from hannibal). Has it got something to do with the original standalone launcher and save files? If you know how to get it to just show my normal username would be awesome

Thanks Ane, I was sure I had already done this but evidently I hadn't. But know please tell me how do I remove my old character from the game and get my stuff back that I was carrying at the time? I've started as a fresh spawn and my old character is just standing there real creepy like. What do I do with him?

That’s interesting Sprout, maybe it depends on which item you pick up first in the game?

Sometimes you need to have the materials of the other recipe in order for it to open the rest. So for example the Map unlocks with the Quill and Ink instead of the Pencil. Same with the Fur Clothes, you need to craft using the Wolf Hides first before it unlocks the rest of the hides as an option. Not sure if they are going to change this

I used the /additem command a lot to help update the wiki and find Item Codes but I can’t now I would also like to be able to change the weather too when in creative mode

Hi guys! I can't seem to hold anything or change what is in my hands while riding a horse anymore. Was this an intended feature? I miss shooting my bow while on horse back!

So far I have found Bread, Roast Meat & Roast Bird Meat to provide the longest satiation, about 15 minutes. Next up would be the Baked Potato at around 12 minutes Then Melons, Pineapples, Roast Starfish at about 10 minutes Bamboo Shoot Salad, Roast Fruit, Roast vegetables, Raw Meat, Raw Bird Meat at about 7 minutes Bread Dough, Carrots, Potatoes, Roast Mushroom, Spinach Leaves and Roast Crab at 5 minutes Corn, Flour, Blackberries, Bearberries, Bananas, Champignon, Oyster Meat, Sea Urchin Meat, Prunella Leaves, Raw Crab, Acai Berries and Raspberries between 1 to 3 minutes so these are the worst but are generally the easiest to find and don't require cooking so good for the first few days. Hope this helps!
