    There needs to be a balance between being fun and challenging. If it's too difficult then it could also turn new players away who don't want to pay as well as any of their friends/family that they might have recommended the game to. If it's too easy then no one will pay for the game. They need to find the happy in-between and it seems they were receiving lots of feedback saying it was too grindy.

    I can't help specifically with Editor questions but it might pay to post this in the #editor_yland channel on the Ylands Discord as generally people visit there more frequently than the forums here

    I'm curious, so does this mean tropical will have clay + flint deposits, and copper will be moved to arid leaving tundra with just zirconium (and a bit of gold)? 🤔 This would mean energy would be unlocked a lot earlier too except it will be locked behind getting coal and cobalt for the various energy components, unless their recipes get changed too? Either way I'm excited to see what changes!

    It's meant to unlock when you fix the pump and complete the mystery. Supposedly it was meant to be fixed in a recent patch but it doesn't appear to have worked.

    It's the weekend so devs aren't on at the moment. Usually Anna is here and does name change requests for people. I recommend joining the Official Ylands Discord, it has a much larger and more active community of players to help answer questions and the devs are active there too to help with issues/bugs etc during their work hours.

    You can either buy the full Adventure DLC which unlocks ALL regions immediately, it is still recommended to follow the same progression and visit the Ylands in order of difficulty but not compulsory, or you can go the free-to-play route and grind resources and exploration points to unlock one region at a time. The game gives you both options. There's also the possibility of winning free DLC codes in giveaways hosted by several players in the community.

    Did you send Anna a message? It might be tricky trying to organise a time for her to help you out if you are different timezones but she should be able to join you on your map where you died and look for the box or reimburse you lost items

    Have you tried sleeping to skip the bad weather? You don't have to skip whole days, you can use the leave button to stop sleeping instantly, it makes it easy to check if the weather has cleared yet (I do this when waiting to tame the mythical animals). In terms of the sharks, are you using the fish repellant flares and capsules to deter them? Usually you just need to light one and if it's active in your hot bar then it's working and you can continue swimming...

    The code is for the safe in the mayors house, which contains a note that has a clue to the combination for the control room. I've created wiki guides for almost all of the Mystery Ylands, they can be found on the Ylands Fan Wiki

    Please send an in-game message to the devs if you haven't done so already. In the pause menu click the envelope icon and then the Devs tab, write a message and it will automatically add your logs for the devs to investigate. This is unfortunately a known issue and they need as many logs as they can get to try solve this bug. Also feel free to join the Official Ylands Discord and post this in the #bug_reports channel too so that the devs can contact you there...

    Unfortunately this is a known bug and the devs are working on it but help them help you by sending an in-game feedback by clicking on the envelope icon in the pause menu and then on the devs tab write them a message, it will automatically send them your logs.     The formula I was given by Chocho is as follows: ROUNDUP((Damage Incoming) * ((100-(Armor Resistance Percentage))/100)) = (Damage Dealt) And to work out the Armor Resistance Percentage the formula is: 3x*(100/(100+3x)) where x is the resistance number for that particular damage. For example, Player uses Iron Sword with 17 Physical Melee damage and attacks Bigfoot which has 18 Melee resist: (3*18)*(100/(100+(3*18))) = 35% Armor...

    Clay can be found mainly just in the Arid region now. If you hover over each region in the world map view you can see a list of the resources found there. I highly recommend joining the Official Ylands Discord where you will find a larger community of players than here and they can generally answer questions a lot faster, not many people come to the forums here any more. Also, feel free to browse the unofficial Ylands FanWiki for general info too!

    This might be a bug or a result of the new update introducing elemental damage/resistances. The golem in Town in Peril was meant to be invincible to any other weapon except for the sword you get in the church, there would have been some game logic working behind the scenes that meant the golem would only take damage from that very particular sword. He is a tough foe but you can now block with CTRL and dodge with SHIFT so maybe using those...

    If you have already claimed the ship you should be able to Unsummon it using the radial menu 'Q' button, and then resummon it back on the water. If this doesn't work then you can send an in-game message to the Devs, explain the issue in the message and it will automatically send your logs to the Devs for them to investigate.     I like your suggestions, having additional "cosmetic" sail and aft/fore options would be cool, they could just be variants of the existing ones and use the same recipes and when you go to place the sail down you could just press K/L to cycle through the variants or just select it from the crafting menu. In regards to #5 and engine speeds, I'm not sure if you realise but max speed for ships is actually reached with sails when you have the wind at your back...

    Have you tried digging under the structure? Hopefully its underneath the wall. Best thing to do is to use the in-game message system and send one to the Devs, it will automatically attach your game logs for them to look at as well. Also, join the Ylands Official Discord, you can get answers faster there.

    Sounds like a cool idea. At the moment we only have Traders which you can place down using the Pigeon Post and Vendor Banners but they just stay in one spot only and don't walk around.
