RESOLVED Grid alignment problem with blueprint

Question

Hi Ylanders, am I the only one to experience this problem?
I started a house, which I recorded in bluprint plan.
I want to continue it, and can't properly align elements with the grid. So I have to start all over again :'(
Thank you for attention devs! :)

Oups, I realize my mistake! Obviously nothing can be aligned, since we place our building freely...
Sorry, subject closed xD

It would be nice to have an option to snap to the grid. I often use blueprint as a place to start and then build from there.

Well... I'll come back to what I said!

I just placed an old blueprint, dating before the update.
And there, no problem with alignment! Everything is changeable, inked in the grid, without the need to demolish everything to rebuild!

Is this the update? Or is there a particular reason?

I think they changed how is the blueprint pasted into the world. I built one today and it was perfectly fitted into the grid :)

EDIT: And it even fits with its color/material palette to my other builds :P

Hello Ylanders,

I also have grid problems with Blueprint, since a plan created by me.
The problem seems random and after several tests, I have not found solutions:
- I deleted all free investment items (objects, furniture, etc.) before the registration of the plan.
- I caused a move in all directions before the placement of the plan.
- I created a support (floor) to cause alignment of the plane.
Without success.

Thank you and happy new year.

I added it to the system, I'll let you know if we find out what the issue could be.

Can you send us the Blueprint you're having issues with? Sending us the save game file would be a plus too. You can find those here:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/XXX/YYY/remote

It's a known issue, it will be fixed in 0.12 :)

Original issue was fixed much later on (1.9) You can now choose pivot block -> the whole blueprint is in grid + you can free place whole blueprint to place it more exactly.
