Removed: Head layer from Controller_Shark, since it was not really a head layer, caused duplication of attack events and was not used for anything other than attacks anyway.
Removed: Legacy exploration mode was removed. Saves are no longer accessible, rented servers/sharegame slots previously occupied by legacy exploration games are freed.
Removed: Sea resources from recipes for several assets (Small Ylandium Engine, Casting Mold, Magnifying Glass, Large Steel Tube, Steel Tube, Soldering Iron, Vice, Vacuum Tube, Test Tube, Shark Repellant Flare, Alchemy Table, Energy Converter, Energy Regulator, Energy Heater, Light Bulb).

🔧 Reworked / Tweaked

Reworked: Health bar so that it can actually display different amounts of hearts than 5, created modular prefabs for heart indicators, added heart pulsate effect when only one heart is left.
Reworked: The previous handling of animal summoning was opening the (not particularly great-looking) grid view. Now 'call animal' has a 'stage' in the radial menu, filled with tamed animals and companions that can be summoned (as radial menu entries) and the grid is only used if there are too many animals to display correctly. Added optional secondary icon to radial menu buttons (to display companion icons).

So I started a new game with this update and noticed a waterfall on the starter Yland that makes no logical sense..can someone change that on the next update? lol

um fyi in "real" life "waterfalls  can happen from artisian springs there does not need to be an above ground river for water to leak out often times forcefully from a elevated/mountainous terrain however you do need to fix your graphics ..

honestly and truthfully, this "update" is NOT balanced especially in "exploration" there flat out are not enough resources especially actually important ones like iron ect  even managing to get iron is a massive chore and once you get "iron tools  while not neigh on impossible ylandium they are inefficient ,ive not yet managed to find/craft an engine powered ship yet( due to extreme rarity of resources) but i have crafted a 4 masted "junk"  anj  i can say it is way way way too slow for its sailing speed  i offer this wiki link to the "developers" to check out as well about sailing in general  /naming conventions of created parts ofships.vessals..

also id like to see trimarans in the game hopefully as well as sleeker catamarans  and  possibly zodiacs, jon boats or even "fan boats" also a "barrel raft" would be nice 

next is issues of "storage" we need additional "slots" on the player like a utility/tool belt , a pocket slots and of course a backpack that actually expands the inventory exponentially from a basic sack  to a full proper leather or composite back pack ,    also some kind of wing system think like icarus flight or a glider  and the ability to climb up and down trees /swing from ropes 

also the "death" fall damage issue  or lag  due to some topology fall damage is a constant hassel, you should have the ability to respawn at the place you died rather than the last place you slept (spoiler yeah you can put a bed on a ship finally /thankfully but that bring its own problems /issues  and with the underwater update so does the process of upgrading the diving gear as its not remotely clear 

lastly is issues with "food" and hunger/saiety  ive tried and tried to "cook" pizzas!!   ive had the ingredients even wasted time /effort to build a house oven with glass and all and still cannot make a pizza !! 

foods dont last long enough  especially for a "survival" style game  you can literally go a week without eating in real life  but cant go 3 days without water :/ the food needs a massive over haul esp considering the "size" of most the food items vs the hunger they fill../keep filled ..

Thank you for your feedback, we love to hear what our players want.

We have cut the amount of resources that can be found outside in the world. However the veins you find in caves should offer enough for you to build whatever you desire. We have decided for this change because otherwise it was too easy to find everything right at the start of the game. We want the progression to be gradual :)


I have noted the rest down and we will talk about it in the Ylands team :)

My graphics? They are maxed out I don't see anything to fix? And wouldn't there at least be some collection of water under it?

Anyone having a problem with demolition hammers after the update?  I can't seem to destruct anything with it anymore.

I just tried the new fishing rod, it seems a little weird.

The bait doesn't fly out when you throw the line, it just magically appears in the water with the string. Is that intended?

 

Edit: When casting the fish line it will be relative to the players rotation and not camera, is that intentional?

Hi there. You can't deconstruct Random Encounter items for resources anymore. Yes you can demolish them but won't get the resources. Is that what you are referring to? :)

Hello,

yes both these things are intentional. The bait was a design decision. The casting of the line is designed this way because it helps to see the distance from the water.
Do you have any ideas how to improve these? :)

Would it be possible to add a mechanic where environmental sounds ect are dampened when inside a building? I built a starter log cabin but I find it kind of annoying to have the wind blowing as loudly inside my cabin as it would outside..

Whats up with these recipes? like they been changed and for the worst..I swear to god we use to have to make clay bricks in the kiln, now we can just make them without it..not sure I'm a fan of that..I mean wouldn't clay bricks need to be fired and hardened?? Also some of the wooden doors look like they would require Iron but it's just straight up wood where as other doors that look like they require iron actually do require iron...so weird..

On the Home Main Menu when you select an individual emote, costume or pet to purchase it the display model for it doesn't show up for me, there's just a blank spot where it should be. They do show up just fine when I'm in game like exploration and creative mode which is interesting.

Okay so Building Station is replaced by Building Plans, so can anyone tell me what is this Building Plan is

It basically lets you go into free camera mode and you can fly around and build while your body stays on the ground.

yea but how do you do that? I can't find any information about this anywhere

Basically craft it using 3x Blank Paper Sheets & 1x Writing Tool and then equip it in your hands and then left-click to start flying around.
