  1. Hi, I couldn't stand crashing Ylands and I was reading about my problem whole nights. I think I've found why Ylands crashes. I hope this will help you make a hot-fix or at least find way around the crash for people with the same problem as mine. Well, starting point is the crash itself. I have old Radeon HD 6870 1GB. I had horrible FPS and random crashes, but after around 20-50 hours of gameplay (depends on explored map and progress... probably ship... it seems) Ylands suddenly crashes (freeze then turn to black and in the bckground Win7 (64bit) gives me this error: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". This is random, maybe once a 3-4 hours, but after 2-3 crashes game crashes all the time after loading. However, I coudn't understand why it happens only from time to time and in 50% or freezes game "awakes" after even 5-30 seconds later... And then I found out two things. First, that Windows tries to reset display driver if memory is low to save it... (after a while Ylands uses around 4.7GB from my 8GB of RAM - so, it should be ok??) and second one was this: https://docs.microsoft.com/pl-pl/windows-hardware/drivers/display/timeout-detection-and-recovery Well, it seems that Windows sometimes treat Ylands as frozen app and let it wait, but more often decides to "reset" display driver.., just for fun of it.   2. Hi, I'm playing Ylands everyday from the start of Ylands on Steam. I managed to make game playable (I had random crashes and after 50hours of gameplay - constant crashes). Well, game always crashes constantly when I have a ship (even if I'm not on it and far away). Game never crashes if I'm using olny boats or rafts. My system is WIN7, AMD Phenom II x4 965, Radeon HD 6580, 1GB VRAM, 8 GB RAM. Here you are my LOGs. Please, Help... ComR output_log.txt output_log_clean.txt
  3. Hi, First of all - THANK YOU FOR LAST HOTFIXES! My ship escaped me once again and I decided to start whole game once again, but... I saw new hot fix and for any case started old world... I saw my ship and it dissappeared soon after, but I decided to rush for him last time! And.. to my surprise... the ship stopped with sails up! So, you changed something! But but but.... I retrieved ship I was chasing for whole lat week!!! :)))))))) It was where I saw "you are leaving Ylands area" - message... Maybe you made ships to stop there if they are with nobody onboard? Also, breaking things is no longer producing piles of separate piles od gravel, but one pile - great! Thank you! Anyway... This is where I have found another bug. Important one. In my earlier games I had problems finding Ylands. I usually could find max. 7 Ylands and most of these were tiny ones. After last updates Ylands are much bigger, but there is much less Ylands at all, but... I realised that there is a problem in generating Exlore Ylands... 1) Above all, there are parts of the map, where I can see "you are leaving Ylands area" message, but I'm clearly in the area and there is Ylands I well know just ahead! 2) Also, I'm not sure yet, but the message is shown even if there is a Yland ahead, but not explored yet, but far away. I'm planning to check it today because... I have my super fast ship again! 3) I'm not sure if it's but and if it's connected to bug mentioned above, but birds are sometimes "not there" or flying worng direction. I know they are fly to an Yland or from an Yland, so you can see these flying from right to left, ut there are places where you can never see any bird, but Ylands are there. Maybe game is adding birds only after discovering new Yland? Maybe Ylands are creater during the game? I'm not sure - I'm sure there is a map bug showing "you are leaving Ylands area" in between Ylands and birds are sometimes acting wrong - or, game is changing something during exploring. Example: - I was sailing for 24 hour towards a bird. I'm sure he was flying directly from my Yland to another one. We were heading in the same direction. I realised that if bird is constantly flapping - it's on the way. If bird is gliding and flapping only from time to time - bird is over an Yland and is making "circles" (triangles?) above the Yland. So - I'm sure there is an Yland. Should be. But I have to stop, there was big snow storm - I'm sure I was in the right place.... and then "you are leaving Ylands area" was shown again and again. So, I changed my direction. So, Birds are wrong from time to time? Or, "you are leaving Ylands area" is wrong? Or both? For now I have only 5 Ylands and there is "you are leaving Ylands area" anywhere around... My Ylands are incomplete too; There is no gold, there is no Ylandium, there is no caves with treasures... clearly - this world is wrong... Is this possible that game is generating from time to time glitched worlds with only a few Ylands, not all materials needed and world much smaller than usual? All The Best! Bartosz
  4. Yes, I'm trying to collect more information for Devs, but it' not easy. I assume that map generating code is broken and map glitches (as squarte parts of radnom [random?] areas inside well know island is a bug. However, I guess there is a small glitch in code, which makes maps glitchy and at the same time is showing wrong directions as the end of the world. (BTW. I'd like to "force" Ylands devs to make Ylands wordl like real Earth - this is really simple idea: if you go above map - you'll be moved to the bottom of the map, if you are to the left - you will be moved to the right of the map - making out game one small planet. The only big problem with it is... size of the World. I never heard from any Dev if "exploring mode can be "endless exploring of new lands, generated as needed - in this case - I think standart map is great and I'dl love to know it Ylands is tiny, small, average, big, hudge or - INFINITE world generated during play. So, I think the most fantasdtic and revolutionary way to make Ylands is to let us generate whole planet forever - so, no borders, no moving from far left to far right (no, I'm not talking about politics).... But this is the only reason. I hope it would be great if it would be an option: -World generated at start (with given size) -World generated as you explore The Ocean... (no limits - the longer you play - the map gets bigger). -World generated at the start, but in the shape of "sphere", when you can travel around the world in just 40 days... (simply - you are "Leaving the Yland area" is changed to no warning, but you are moved to the opposite part of the map. Simpliest way of pseudo sphrical world. Please, think of it. Best Regards, ComR

  6. Hi, I have found a few new bugs: 1) Big stuck in the wall problem. You cannot move through horizontal space 5 bricks high, but It is possible to jump into it or use ladders to do it. So, you can move there, but you cannot move out or jump out of the trap! You cannot duck, so, the only way is to demolish bricks above your head and/or bricks below you - only then you are able to jump out. I realized that bug in one of the abandon hunting house (that one with horns in frons and two ladders). There is space exactly 5 bricks high and I already, was stucked there for 4-5 times. I was lucky and had a good axe with me, however you CANNOT AIM at bricks directly above you or directly below you, so you have to destroy everything close to you and wish for luck! Please, try to add an exception allowing you to move out from any brick (stone/tree?), just for any case. Maybe option to crawl/bend your knees (maybe also to move quiet?) whould be useful? 2) Some trees after being sawed off are still unreachable. These are there, but you cannot hit them, even if you stand just beside it on "in it". Digging out lost part of the tree changes nothing. This happens mostly when one tryy have two roots: palms and birches. It seems that all depends on rotation of the fallen tree? 3) Some plants, esp. dried ones are still invisible to player - it's there, but I cannot reach it even standing on it. 4) After chopping trees on mass, very often parts are hungin in in the air - because tree being there before was removed. I can jump or build temporal ramp to get it, but there is bigger problem: 5) There are still situations when during digging out any resources parts of soil/triangular shapes are hinging in the air. Sometimes you can reach these with picks sometimes with spades, but mostly you cannot do anything, because you cannot aim pick, spade or shovel so high. I tried axes, swords or hands too - nothing helps. Very annoying. BTW. see next point, please. 6) Most of the tools have ranges of "aiming", however these are awkwards sometimes: You cannot aim with your spear! Spears are and should be long and could reach angry animals above you or below you (that happens very often because I'm always trying to climb a tree, my sheds od any higround. Spear is useless as other weapons in these cases - the only way is projectile weapons. Please, correct it. Additionally larger area of targetting would help with reaching and destroying objects "levitating" in the air as sticks, wood pieces, soil and so on... You cannot aim with weapons, axes, picks or spades directly obove your head and below your head. This is maybe realistic, but if you are stuck in bricks or trying to reach levitating objects - you're screwed. I'm always trying to reach bricks and objects I'm trapped in in first person view. 7) I'm not sure if it was ment to work this way (this is certainly realistic), but one day I fell of the cliff on my small boat. I died, but the boat flipped upside down. I couldn't control it, of course (which is realistic too), however it was biiiig loss for me at the time. It there any way, including cheats, to flip my boat right way again? 8) What happened to drying racks?? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it would be very useful to dry fish, meat and fruits, additionally it would be good way to make hay of grass. If you removed drying racks from the game, please - make it back. It would be very nice to make it possible to have better food without fire. And... some more diversity. How could I make hay!?     Dear Aleš Ulm , Is this possible you would consider bringing back removed models (bones, paint kit, drying rack) and animations to the game, as mods or DLS? I'm sorry I'm asking you directly, but Ylands forum is full of people asking and you and your friends do not have to read it all - I'm sure. I understand why you removed skeletons, gutting and dying animations (however I cannot understand removing bones and dinosaur fossils or Samurai armour??), but that way you removed half of Ylands atmosphere and I'm sure most "children" (I don't think 5 y.o. toddlers will be ever playing Ylands) saw much worse things in Toys Ur Us. You left killing in Ylands (please, do not LEGO Ylands!! - but, even in LEGO you have bones, skeletons and you can kill everybody and everything). Gutting was saaad... death animations were not repulsive. hey should make you sad - I think. It should be possible to kill anybody and gut humans for leather and meat too, why not? After all we are playing game yyy.. roughly based on Roninson Crusoe, right? No?! Take a look at books in the game! Are you planning to remove Robinson Crusoe book too, because of the 18+ content in the book? You can make death animations as they were, but in cartoon style (after all Ylands is cartoon style, right?) - do you remember Spy vs Spy or Merry Melodies? I'm sure you do! Ghost leaving bodies and acting funny, leaving you meat and hide, but with cartoonish animation. Try it. It will be better than dissappearing animals leaving you meat and hide. In short - please, consider DLS or MOD but, please, give us back beautiful animations we had before Steam release. You removed skeletons and bones from the game - ok, but, please, leave models and animations for modders. I think it's very important. I was so happy to collect fossils, skulls and bones to make my own dungeons or museums... I was so happy to find or build samurai armour and katana!!! I was waiting for update where you could collect whole skeletons to use these as something to make your own museum. "Trophies" are not the same. Please, ask people - that "black magic" and skeletons were VERY important to make Ylands more immersive and really interesting... It's different if you dig the same graves now. Before you could "feel" shivers finding "bandit hat" on a skeleton just digged out... I know, you want to fit to childish, idiotic laws of some countries to fit "for everyone" label. But, well, you cannot make everyone happy. So, if you decided to remove "mild gore" - at last make an option for 18+. After all There is much killing in Ylands and it's ok (including sharks - which are harmless and piguins... you can kill?), but bones are not ok? Please, consider "gore" version (yes, I'm exaggerating) - with old animations, even without gutting (yeah, it was sad, but if you want to eat meat - it should be sad... So, people should feel bad). Please, ask psychologist if you want to be "politically correct". Damn.... All The Best, Bartosz

    Dear Aleš Ulm , Thank you for very good news, but please, try to find solution for constant crashes of Ylands (probably DirecX 11.1 issue, memory leak or Radeon problems).... Many people cannot play Ylands at all after certain moments in the game. I think this is important issue... Please, make sure game will work on DX 11.0 - not DX 11.1 only. Many of us have Win7 and do not want Win10. All The Best, Bartosz
  9. Hi, Well, I was happy and thougth that Ylands is not crashing anymore, but I was wrong. After few dozens of hours playing Ylands again started to crash constantly roughly 30 seconds after downloading the game. This time it's Arctic biom, I have two ships, there was no reason to crash... However, funny fact. All savegames/worlds which are constantly crashing are roughly 33MB big... So, I have no saved world bigger than 33MB... All The Best, ComR
  10. Hi There, I hoped that Ylands are created in a different way - similarly to your "biom choose model" from the Editor? Because Ylands are not real island and this is fantastic world, why not to make it earthlike? Simply - if you go to the left and leave the map - you'll end to the right of the map and if you go up - you'll end at the bottom of the map... This way we could travel all around and it could be mini-earth. What do you think? All The Best, ComR
  11. Hi, So, well, once again I travelled to my Vulture Yland to see if bug I've found is real. This time I had rifles, crossbows, war axes and so on. I tried all methods and all the time results were the same except one situation, so: 1) I realised this first time when I managed to hunt Vulture in the sky: nothing was left by it. I tried many times to be sure, I also tried to hunt seagulls. I tried all weapons and both animals. Also: I tried it when animals were on land, in the air, below water (yes, birds can be found flying below water) and all variations possible: birds walking under water, bird glitching/spawned into the slopes (under and above water) and so on. I wasn't hunting pinguins and I do not like hunting at all for well, for my sensitivity/humanly reasons, I feel it's wrong (and yes, I'm the same guy who tries to convince you to give us back killing animations/gutting and bones). So, results are always the same: a) If a bird (any bird) is on the ground (with the exceptions of animals being trapped in high slopes) - it will leave you meat and feathers. For example - if you set baits - it will work. b) If you hit bird in the air, but close to you and ground between you and the bird is flat - you will seemeat and feathers landing - with "boom!". And it will be mostly there. c) If you hit any bird above water - in most cases (95%) - there will be nothing left. d) If you hit any bird above ground, but terrain is'nt flat or there is an obstacle between you and the hunted bird - bird will leave nothing. The only way to hunt Vultures and Seagulls alike is to set a trap and hunt them on the ground or to use propeller and fly almost directly above them, above ground or very shallow waters, so you can clearly see when the meat should land. And only then you will find meat there. I hope it will help to find a bug? Thank you for the great game! BTW. I started my idea to make it possible to play Yland in cheapest VR possible. If I succeed - I'll contact you, so you could add another FREE option to your great game! Bartosz
  12. Well... it's seems I was wrong.... Making graves still makes piles os separate piles of gravel.... Sometimes not... If you were fixing it - it works, but not if you are doing it above the water.
  13. Hi, Well, we had problem with slots before during "drag and drop" - now we do not even have to do drag and drop! Picking up items or opening containers is messing with slots very well even without our help. Just walk around and pick some items, open inventory and... Surprise! Try to move something here and there, drag and drop and after a while you will find more and more "broken" slots. The only difference is: items are not showed at the bottom of the window, but one and a half to the right... Also... sometimes drag and drop "miss" and you have two identical items, both in the same slot, but not combined as one... Second strange thing is... Lanterns are not working from time to time. I have 20-30 lanterns right now, and some of these are "off" and after a while on again or "half-on"... or... bright red...??? So, I must say - It was better before... BTW. It was in my game before, I thought it was made for a reason, but it seem unlikely... I like to collect mushrooms, so I have few containers full of different kinds... And I have found a glitch or bug - the buggy/glitchy mushrooms are only cave mushrooms. For some reason, the same types cannot be combined together, thought they are clearly the same type (not similar in look, but exactly the same). I thought at the beginning that I can collect only one big mushroom in one slot, but then I realised that some mushrooms can be combined together and others not - thought they are of the same type, for example glowing mushrooms. So, In one slot I have one, in second one three, in third 2 identical mushrooms, but they cannot be combined. Maybe the same cave mushrooms, but from different bioms are tagged somehow and cannot be combined? Have a nice day, Bartosz

Hi, After many hours of play (70 or so), I have mines here and there and most of these contain materials levitating in the air - I canno't collect it, I cannot destroy it, however I can hit it with an axe or hammer. Today I was enlighted: It always happens when my inventory is full. It looks like this: I'm mining salpeter, for example, because Ylands to not fill slots to round 100 (in theory it does, but if your slot is 98 full and digged out ore chunk is more than 2, Ylands is trying to fill a new slot), so I usually have slots with ores like this: 99, 98, 99, 97, 96, 100, 100 and like so. But... if all slots are full our hero is not taking more ore (if it's more than 4 in this example), but red error appeares: "FAILED" and whole ore chunk after that is ureachable, cannot be "seen" (yes, you can see it, but there is no description anymore) or destroyed. Also any new digged out ores will be not added to the pile - fortunatelly. Another, not very important, but a bit annoying bug is breasking stones/flints/chunks and all other thing when your slots are full. For example, If I have 50 chuncks of stone and I don't needed, I open the window and click "break" with left CTRL. Then all chunks are turned into a gravel. In theory it should work nicely - I have soil container and I should have free slot from destroying stone, right? Well, no... The first, empty now slot, is filled with only one gravel (not soil container) and whole rest lands on the floor... So, I have to pick every gravel separatelly, clicking 49 times... Which is a bit annoying. And yet we have another problem with Herb Bags, Containers and Seed Boxes. When I broke plans or fruits or chuncks, stones and so on, I'd think that grass will be consolidated into 100's and packed into my Herb Bags, seeds into my seed box and... well, gravel into my soil container. But, it doesn't work. It's not a big problem, but when I'm working in my... fields... :)) This is really time consuming process... But, I understand containers are new thing and you have much more, more important things to do. BTW! Please, add mushroom basket container (we've got around 20 different types of mushrooms)! And maybe Food Basket - "Forager Basket/Bag" for people starting the game and living off the woods. Usually we need so many different stuff that I can carry around only one type of food, but when I start the game I have tons of different berries, fruits, mushrooms, corn and also oysters, starfish - you name it. And... maybe tool belt? Even small one, so we could make few different ones for different purpose - exploring, mining, foresting, hunting, building... Every time I wat to do something else, I have to leave all my materials, weapons and tools and take new set of tools and materials... Weapons, materials, containers, food and equipement it enought to carry around, especially if you are exploring and you need many empty slots... Happy Ylanding! Bartosz

    I forgot to add: I couldn't find link, but I saw this: "Ylands needs DX 11.1 to work". This means you need Win10 to Ylands working right, however - I managed to find patches for Win7 (it's there - you'll find it - I don't want to give you links, because my links were not working and I'm guessing - you have to work a bit to find it), which allowed some DX 11.1 functions to work on WIn7. And... I think the most important thing is something I found... yeah, kill me, I have no idea where I've found it: I asked Ylands developers many times for all command lines, but noone responded. So: Try to add "ylands.exe -dx11" if your system is Win 7. I have no idea if it will work for you, but my game isn't crashing anymore. And, once again, Devs, please, give us starting commands list. I think it could help you remove galf of the bugs if you let people use command lines. Forsome it will not work, for some it will work - just allow people to try. Yeah - on their own resposibility. Hi, I love free placing, I think everyone loves the idea, however there is one big problem - at least for me: There are places where I want to add free placed item, but in line with grid of existing building, for example I want "medieval stick window", but with glass in the same place. Or, I need to place last brikh, but there is something already on the way. When I'm placing the window/brick everything works ok., the obvious problem is red marking and "there is something in the way" or "there is no room" etc. So, I need and want to free place the window/brick, but... when I hit "V" window/brick dissappear from carefully chosen place and I need to move it again, what's worse - I cannot move next item "one brick" to the left - I can only move it "freely"... So, I cannot place things one next to each other fast in free mode (however pre-build structures in Ylands looks to be built this way - I'm talking abour obviously free placed items). So, I have 4 simple ideas which could save hours of work for all of us, including Ylands atists (if they have to build items as we do): 1) If you are placing bricks/logs/anything on the grid and you want to place in on the grod, but "free place it" - hit "V", but do not let Ylands start placing object from the begginning - let it be in the same, aleady chosen x,y,z and already chosen rotation. 2) Alternativly - when you are placing bricks on the grid, but red marking appear, let us hold "V" ("V" for example - it can be anything, let us bind the key) and left click: then item will be "free placed", but on the grid, when you planned it to be. 3) When you want to move free placed objects or bricks within "barrier" range: select empty hand (?), point at item you want to move, hold "V" key and item should show moving menu as always in free placing mode. 4) When you are placing in free mode, add one more option/toggle button: "move object by whole step / rotate object 90 degrees" (as it is in normal, grid placing mode - I don't remember dimensions of the smallest block, but it should be default one). The thing would allow us to free build custom walls made of sticks, stones, fish, leaves and so on - possibilities would be endless!!! And building would be much, much, much faster! 5) When you are placing bricks you can always hit "V" and place the same item freely, but you cannot do the opposite and hit "V" again for placing fish/stone or sticks to the grid, for example - that would be extremely useful!!! When I see ready-made structures in Explore mode, for example carrot fields, they seem to be placed to grid. It would be great if we could plant to grid too, or at last we could see where we are planting something as we can ain in FP mode while picking, shoveling or hitting. When you plant trees it's not a big problem, but when you try to plant something in planting pots - it's really tricky. And, btw: we can build planting pots, but we cannot move plants in them (for example with the ship). Is this a bug or future planned thing? It would be great if we could plant something in a pot and carry it with us in inventory and free place these as we wish. BTW: Few bugs: 1) Sisal Agave leaves cannot be stored in Herb Bags. 2) Grain plants cannot be stored in Herb Bags. 3) Bamboo Shoots cannot be stored in Seed Boxes. 4) Oyster shells cannot be stored in Shell Jars. 5) "Broken" plants are not automatically stored in Seed Boxes (seeds) and Herb Bags (grass) - not very big problem, but it is, when we have full inventory - and we have inventory full all the time. 6) Coal basket should be able to store "wooden pieces" in my humble opinion... as it is the most common fuel, I think. 7) Savannah Grass (the long, yellow grass) leaves only one seed - this is a problem if you plan to grow it. 8) I checked it again - any birds hunted in the air leaves nothing unless hit close to you, so you can feathers and meat falling. If bird is hit so meat or feathers fall behing your line if sight - birds leave nothing at all. 9) Animals - all of them - if hunted under steep slope or mountain in many cases are leaving meat and hide "into the slope", so it all falls down into the center of the Earth. And a good news for the end: One puma respawned on my Yland after 60 Ylands days? In the same time, my four horses went crazy and I have almost 20 horsies! Do I need more than one animal or at last one animal of a kind to let them respawn? How does it work? In first distributed Ylands version animals respawned much more often. Happy Ylanding, Bartosz

    PLEASE HELP!

    Hi, This will be long monologue, history of my fighting with Ylands to make it playable... to some extend. Unfortunatelly it's still impossible to play if I make one step further: Ylands from the start was nice to me - I was used to 30 FPS games, my system is old: AMD Phenom II x4 965, 3.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6850 (1GB VRAM) (monitor native resolution I'm using is 2048-1152). One, small SSD HD for the system: 120 GB. My system is WIn7 Pro, all latest patches (please, take in mind that Micro.sh... (Małymiękki - exact polish translation - VERY accurate) is not working on Win7 anymore, so you have to look for latest patches for yourselves, some updates are still labelled as updates - some are not). I have no idea if it changes anything, but I do not want Win10 and Microsoft forcing me to buy new system every 2 years (especially that it's extremely expensive and free systems are there and free at all - Mircrosoft have much to learn and I hope their greed will drive them to the bankruptcy at last). But, let's back to theme: As far as I realised, people with latest systems and hardware sometimes have the same performance problems as I had: -At the beginning of the game I had ~30 FPS (no mater Ultra or Low settings) and then, day by day my FPS was lower, lower and lower and spikes (game freezing from time to time. At start once a minute for a second or so, then few seconds, then few times a minute for a few seconds, then, every minute I had "spikes" up to 2 minutes long. Spikes werelonger and longer, more and more often and then game froze forever. After few days of gaming, game was unplayable - game crashed after few seconds after loading last game. I was reading everything I could about Ylands and I reported my problems to the forum we see... I'm sorry, Devs, I have to write it - I understand it's not easy and it's not your fault, but we are here to help eachother and help developers to, by showing them what's wrong, right? So, I wrote all my problems in this forum - everything I got was: "start Steam and Ylands as Admin, clear all ini's and Win registry". I guess it can help - but in my case it helped nothing. So, I started from the beginning: 1) Check your system with as many antiviruses, anti spyware, anti worm software as you can. Remove all threats. (Devs, Admins, please, do not block/remove the software I'm listing, I was using many, but only one did it properly! They deserve to be mentioned). Malewarebytes (really, no other, even most known software companies where not able to help me - no, I'm not paid or connected to this firm) provide free software that removed most of my Adwares and Worms! I were using ALL well known software - not even close! Malewarebytes have a serie of software, I reccomend you to use all free ones, but also read and use software wich is not commercial, command line, but... works! You can make it manually or any way you want - but, remove all adware, viruses and worms - also and above all - from your registry. This will be pain, but you have to do it. There is NO ONE BUTTON SOFT, so, you have to read and work on it. Then... Update your system - With Win10 you should have no problems, but with Win7 - sorry, you have to manually install some installers to install... third party drivers... I'm not sure if it's worth it, but do it. I see not big difference in Ylands, but Watchdogs and GTA V works literally TWICE AS FAST! (yes, if you know how to configure BIOS - I cannot help you - if you have PC, you should know how to operate the system... Sorry) Worst thing and most annoying... I tried to receive Ylands Devs answer, but... I usually write too much - I received nothing: I saw few times: "Ylands works only with Direct X 11.1". Problem is, Windows 7 do NOT SUPPORT DX 11.1!!! WIN7 works only with DX 11.0 and... it "can work" with few "not very official" additions (partially adopted by Win7 semi-drivers).. I have no idea... I found somewhere command line for Ylands: "-DX11". I have no idea where was it.., but I added it to ylands.exe command line. And, I think it's not the biggest problem, but I set my Radeon to "performance", everything's off (let the application choose). Vsync off. I set Ylands to LOW. Dynamic weather off, dynamic flora on, Vsync ON (Radeon setinng Vsync is ON) - Ylands cap is set to 30, but... I still have Vsync Off... and it's still around 60 FPS when I'm not doing too much... Something is wrong, but Vsync is clrearly off. Game is playable and it's dropping to 20 FPS or less when it's raining or storm is here. When I'm eploring new lands (even when I'm sailing (I guess game is rendering underwater terrain) FPS drops to 20 FPS, but if it's storm here - game drops to max 10 FPS. If you try tu run in new terrain, even terrain you know, but you're back from an adventure... and animal will attack you or your ship or big base is there - Ylands crashes on me. 2) In my case moving Ylands and Ylands Savegame (as I can tell - moving savegame file changed everything) (so, moving Steam in this case) to ma fastest HDD - in my case old, but old, but SSD - I was using it only for system, but moving Ylands to SSDmade my average 15FPS to 40FPS...     PLEASE HELP!

    Before I will try to help you and list everything I did, I must state that Ylands is still crashing on me and as far as I know these situations are well known (my problems I will list in post below). So, after my long war with performance and crashes I managed to make Ylands playable, but still: 1) Game crashes on exit - every time I'm leaving main menu. 2) Game is saving forever, when I'm trying to "return to main menu" (rarely it works - maybe once a 5 times?). 3) Game crashes constantly (this is the end - game is unplayable anymore then) if I explore more than 5-6 Ylands (around 100 hours of gameplay) or roughly when I have main bigger base, few cabins here and there and a ship. 4) Game crashes when "spikes" (game freezes) for longer than 30 seconds - 2 minutes (sometimes it's possible to "wake up the game if you ALT-TAB to Desktop and then wait and then open Ylands window with mouse - but it works only before you've got Win error). 5) Game FPS drops below TRAGIC everytime I'm moving to new area or area I'm not using all the time (my base, fields around my base and few hundreds meters around my main base - IF.., IF the weather is ok - is it's raining or it's snow storm - I cannot move, if I do, or worse - if I run into wild - game will drop to 5-10 FPS and soon will crash). These are my Ylands problems I cannot repair and I have no clue what to do. There was much, much worse, however, please, read my post below this one. I hope it will help some people.

    RESOLVED [YLD-8409] Ship Parts Bug

    Well, I cannot built ships for now, because my game crashes after I build a ship. Just next time I try to download game and my ship is around - game keep crashing all the time, so I can travel only with boats. So, I cannot confirm ship problems yet, except for what I've seen on Youtube - many peopl on Youtube (for example Keralis), report that some items built on ship cannot be destroyed in any way. Nothing helps - editor is not helping too. Also, I can confirm that grid on ships isn't working properly - bricks and items are often few millimeters offset (and sometimes you can see that only after realoading savegame). You can try to destroy it all and hope that next time it will work properly. I'm not sure if this can be the problem, but I realised two things (I couldn't confirm it, because my game crashes after building a ship, as I mentioned earlier): -It seems that anchor down or up makes big difference. Probably anchor up is causing problems building ships at all. -Also, FPP, however very useful, seems to mess up with grid - I guess, because in FPP ship is reacting to your moves, jumps and weight of the bricks. Yes... placing brick, for example timber or jumping from a mast can cause ship to move, rotate or, in my case, even caused my boat to turn upside down. It's very realistic and I like it and hope it will be not removed, but during ship building it's a big problem. BTW. Reagarding boat flip ups - it's realistic too, but we should be able to save our small boats somehow, without editing the game. If... you are not planning to implement naval warfare and sinking ships - and I hope you are planning to do so... So, better let the ships sink, than not at all... Sunken ship is a tragedy, but underwater expeditions to retrieve treasueres of sunken ships would be epic! I'm used to see invisible or unreachable things here and there and I'm waiting for a patch, but I can confirm this: -There are random things, mostly withered plants, that cannot be destroyed or removed (it's so common I'm not even try to edit game for it). But, there are also things that seem to be out of place at all: stone letter "H" (I saw this three times already - impossible to collect or destroy - it not moves, just floating above ground if you dig it out). Also, there are lanterns like that - just levitating in the middle of the air. You cannot collect, remove or destroy these too. During digging ores it happens to me often, that sometimes lone ores are here and there: I cannot pick them up, I cannot destroy these, I can hit these (I hear the hit sound), but it changes nothing. I guess monuments, old stone and sculpting workstations, electrical "things" (reflectors in bioms with Egyptian artifacts) are indestructable for a reason? Or bug? Or, these are made of super strong metal? - These are impossible to destroy too. All the best, Bartosz

Hi, I thought it's very well know bug, but it seems that devs are not reading all posts (I'm not surprised - I understand), so I'd like to add few bugs which are obvious for most players, I think, but all of them think it's well known bug or they think it's as it should be? 1) When you dig with iron shovel and shovel break - it doesn't matter, you can still dig, you can dig forever. 2) There is a big problem with punching. I realised I'm not the only one who clicks left instead of right mouse button and the opposite. I guess it's very common. Problem is - it will happen - we are humans after all, but problem is - it's enought to punch meat/seeds/seedlings/hide/planted seed once to destroy it forever. If you plant many - it hasppens all the time. If you fight animal or hunt if you are not carefull - one hit too much and your precious meat will dissappear, hide will turn into rags and planted plant will turn into dirt - very annoying - again. Please, change at last hits to 3 instead of one! Why 3? Because usually our hero hits twice with one "attack click". 3) If you hunt birds in the air in most cases feathers and meat dissappear at all, sometimes I can see these falling down, but... they fall underground. I realised that if I kill bird on the ground, feathers and meat mostly will be here (except for high slopes... Sometimes feathers and meat land below the ground - straight into the center of the Earth). I also realised that if I hit a Vulture near me - I can find meat and feathers, but if the bird is hit behind a hill (so, I cannot see where meat lands) meat and feathers dissappear forever. 4) If you hunt wild animals from very long distance animals do not react at all and die, but if they are so far, so you can barely see them, they will die, but there will be no hide and no meat at all. 5) I hope it's a bug, because it would be to harsh (it would be ok if you plan to make few Exploring Mode Difficulty Levels) - if I'm dead I can find my grave and items. In normal bioms it's possible, but in arctic biom it's really hard - polar bears are very aggressive and powerful - it's ok, but... if I'm killed again... I'm probably loosing all my previous graves and I cannot retrieve my stuff anymore? It's good idea for hard mode or something, but for relaxing mode I like in Ylands it's very, very bad idea. Why? I like to play for fun, relax and calming nature of the game. If I die I laught and try to retrieve everything I lost and I'm proud of every testament I have... But... Second die is more probable than the first one - first of all - something that killed you is still there, second thing is - my best armour and best weapons are in my grave. At the beginning of the game my best armour and weapons nd tools are usually treasueres I've found... and found items are in most cases very rare and IMPOSIBBLE TO CRAFT, so you loose precious things forever... Please, Because there is no difficulty level yet and all items left of the ground are always there - why they are dissappearing, when I'm dead again!? They should be there as left logs, flowers, shells and all other stuff... If you really implemented second death as destroyer of your progress (well, in short it is start from the beginning and no chances to find lost items again), you force al players to drop everything behind before any dangerous situation or... during mortal combat... - not very nice. 6) I understand you removed gutting from the game, it wasn't pleasant. But killing animals now in the game shows children that "killing animals isn't wrong at all - you've got hide and other bonuses and animals aren't real. Men, this is really wrong education at all! I understand you are trying to follow some idiotic regional law demands, but it was much more sad story to see crab you killed by accident or goat lying dead. You felt sorry and it was good. Now it's just meat and hide. Let's kill animals! - This is what I call "wrong". Rethink it. Dead animal lying around after being hunted was graphically nice, animations where great and I felt really bad if I killed animal by accident. Gutting was unpleasant - but it should be, in fact it should be even more grusome to make people feel bad. Especially after you see goats moving towards you, bunnies playing around and so on, but ok, I understant some old politician f@#s decide - remove the gutting, change it somehow (well, let's say - hit it again and it will leave you hide and meat?), but do not remove animations and skeletons. In what country skeletons or crab upside down is "wrong" and killing people and animals is "politically correct"? Maybe you should ban idiotic countries for now and make versions for them later? BTW. Sharks are big and dangerous (but in real live they are not - so, it's bad education again) and if we beat them we have only meat. This is wrong. At last make it more meat.   23. Yeah, it works everytime - saw down a gum tree, let it be and ... exctract rubber. Also you can extract resin and wood from trees forever- I'm guessing you know it.
  24. Yes, but in my case it holds me for longer and sometimes I cannot move just like that. I move there - hero stops and I have to release key and press "move forward" again, then he moves. If not - I have to jump.

    Memory problem?

    Hi, Thanks for fast response. I see one difference here - I've got only 8GB of RAM and Ylands logs shows constant memory clearing for more room. Maybe if I had 16GB Ylands would work faster, becouse there would be no need for constant clearing and loading data? I realised that game spikes only when data is loaded into memory - for example when I move to location further away. So, I'm guessing data is loaded from HD. BTW. Good idea, I will start Ylands and see if HD is in use. By test file, do you mean savegame with problems? And... if we are talking about performance: after I moved Ylands to SSD game is running in almost constant 60FPS (which is unbelievable! - and it's some king of glitch, because game FPS cap is set to 30, Vsync on, but... Vsync is clearly off and FPS is more that 30 for sure - Ylands says so too. Because that settings works great for me, I do not want to mess with it, thought I'd like to see if Ultra would work faster too.) if I'm not doing much, 40FPS when I'm moving or building and around 15-20FPS when I'm exploring more areas (video is set to low, howether it wasn't big difference in my case). Before ma max FPS was ~20 and around 8FPS when exploring or in combat. So, I guess it has to be HDD involved...
