A day with nothing to do, Ylands and a box of matches
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's topic in Community News
thanks SyxtySyx really this game allows you to do 3d modeling with a little bit of creativity, the dragonfly for example I found it very simple to do and I did it in about 40 minutes I hope to see the results of how they use these ideas I have shared the model in the workshop, so you can see how it goes, in case you want to do similar things https://ylands.net/asset/369 they really give a nice environmental decoration ehhh where are you going with my statue... -

Some time ago I read something, of programmable robots. When they say that, what do they mean? All kinds of robots? I liked how the dragonfly stayed, so I made a robotic version just in case. It is composed of electronic elements and pieces of scrap metal. Also it takes painting gun and drills that give the effect of movement of the gears and some vengalas as propulsion -

from what I have seen in my current base it is still possible to place stools or mats with which to access. I use double wall to avoid first-person peepers -

Well here goes another, to this, I spent a little more time. It's a pretty dragonfly It is composed of snowballs, cannonballs, diamonds and feathers mainly. The legs are made with levers It is composed of groups that allow you to modify the position. and of course here is the matches what a pity ... now I want to ride dragonflies in Ylands a time-lapse of the dragonfly I have redone the dragonfly so you can see it and I changed the legs Sorry, the music does not last long but ... it's what there is -

I'm creating a rail system, it's not easy. To do this first you have to tame the ylands cars * Updated version 03/20/2018: Small train- https://ylands.net/asset/359 Kit small rail train- https://ylands.net/asset/361 but hey, in the end I managed to do something more taming of cars ylands I could not put more than two wagons from here, it can only improve and maybe someday ...

I think it's more than enough. They could practically build a village for the whole server mounted on the train I'm also doing some missing sections of the train tracks.

I was appreciating these beautiful cars and I thought I should look for a suitable place for them. So the first thing I needed was a door worthy of a garage. It occurred to me to make a sliding door, taking advantage of the train. It works very well, plus it can be made as big as you want. wonderful car SyxtySyx I already read some post that the doors were small hehe I would like that in the future, we put some kind of engine with which to make these systems, without having to use cars.

They can also use more defined panels, but smaller than this is no longer easy to paint. This size I have achieved by putting together 4 panels. Take into account also that although the loading of the panels is small, since the bullets do not have collisions and their rendering distance is very short, a lot of these will make your game slow fence, depends on the characteristics of your pc. but nobody said that it can not be done

DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X posted a question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Asset guid should be the same. I receive this message every time I try to replace the workshop model .ycp. The other day the same happened to me but it was resolved by changing the name of the composition as it was a symbol º and apparently does not accept it. But today I could not. I have tried with the name in several ways, I have also recreated the composition and nothing may have something to do with the deletion of the publisher's list. In the end I chose to delete the model and upload it again. -
DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Ohh great, I'm glad to hear that. I'll try that too. I managed to dodge the problem by backing up the .ycom model before uploading it to the workshop -
because it is composed of a group, to do that with the option of the highest one, right click on the option to undo a group or click on it , you can also use e I guess this is what happened

haha thank you very much Baz Foobar I was also surprised at how well everything worked

Well, it has always been said that the third time is the good one. I have finished the small train model in its most simplistic version, designed so that everyone can use it without problems. The result has been really good is very easy to build, it could be built in survival mode with some adjustments. But do not be fooled for sure that a future we can improve the system. It has not been possible to update the workshop model so I have raised it again. Again, apologize to those who already downloaded it. This will be the definitive version of this model,... I will not erase it again I promise Rail train: https://ylands.net/asset/361 This includes several via models: straight curve 5º L, R curve 10º L, R crossroads 5º rise slope 5º downhill slope I'm also making a model for big cars that I'll upload too. although you really just have to separate the rails to get this. And I will do some tests with the trains and upload the car models that work best now you can make your train tracks as big as you want

ohh I love this great I'm very happy to get you inspired. an advice that may be useful to you. I first draw on a square and then I eliminate the excess, I find it more comfortable, and you do not need to create the panel for each drawing. I have taken the liberty of copying your logo for the photo, I hope you do not mind

Exactly, it is. Thanks so much for the explanation.

something else from the editor F centers the camera on the selected object ctrl + c copy ctrl + x cut ctrl + v paste ctrl + e edit group ctrl pressed + left click to select more If you want to create a perfect circle, use a reference point with a coordinate axis in the center, such as matches or bullets. The reference point of a group or composition will always be the last selected block. To adjust a composition to the grid, select all the elements, leave the last reference block, set the grid mode and click 2 or 3 times on the arrows of the axes to go to its place

RESOLVED [YLD-9146] lost compostions and duplication of entities
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
here they have a video where you see how it disappears. this happens when you load the model .ycp to the workshop Now I am sure that the error was due to the creation of a shortcut. I have removed it to test if the problem disappeared and, on the other hand, it does not even appear when I create a new one. I suppose they will be somewhere, I looked in the folders but I have not found them yet. I restored it, at least I could save them This error reminds me when you change a folder with which you work in 3d max and lose all the textures of the model. (I learned this recently) -
DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
Anyway I would like to add that maybe it would be better if it could be changed for any composition since this method forces us to recreate the previous composition in case we want to save it. Maybe you could have a record and if it is a copy of it even if it is saved differently that can be substituted in the workshop -
DEV ANSWER [YLD-9229] error when editing workshop model(Asset guid should be the same.)
Spyler.X replied to Spyler.X's question in Bugs & Technical Issues
I would like it but the composition disappears from my editor when I upload it to the workshop so I am forced to create a new one. other times it worked for me although I honestly do not know if I can assure that it was different . I mention this in another post I think it may be related to the access routes Well then let's say that this is solved. my problem is the other one that should not be erased from my compositions I've put a video on the other thread the moment it disappears -
putting motors on the other cars does not work. maybe you could try that with two drivers at the same time. I have managed to drag up to 6 wagons without losing much speed. You can add enough engines to get more speed, the short cars are faster and work better in more closed corners. the long wagons the best size ratio functionality that I have got is 3 cars with 4 and it is only possible to put a wagon for a reasonable speed. * At some point I will make a detailed explanation of all this I'll try it with big vehicles. Maybe there is some difference
