    I'm always a bit skeptical with new EA games. I have watched to many great ideas get slummed down to politics, to many yes men and most of all just pure greed. Christmas isn't the time to make requests, or push for changes, its a time to be thankful for who you love, and who loves you. Def not how great the gifts were, or how many you got under a tree. Its January 1st Ylanders, I didn't get a single gift "under my tree", I got to cuddle with the wife, hug all my children and eat a great dinner with 10 of my closest family members. My Christmas was Merry, and the gifts were picked well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Ylands Team........ Dren

    Macro bud, simply repeating the mouse hold down with correct timing 50 times in a row. My right mouse button thanks me.

    Taters, all the way. Macro to plant 50 at a time with a crafting potion after 4-500 and I'm good for a long while. Not to mention they do hold saturation almost as well as cooked "Beef". I'm not going to run the numbers but when someone does its going to be taters for the win with the best ROI.

    Necro time, how would anyone edit other Ylands with out being able to find them? This should be a "Mandatory feature" in the editor. Along with "Move to Current Char Location". Thx guys keep up the good work.

    Understood. Ane one last thing please, I have serious issues with seagulls on several of my Ylands and I mean "Serious". My starter Yland has over 100 and I have tried for 10 hours or more shooting at them and I will be damned but they are incredibly hard to hit. Mainly due to the fact 80% are out past the shore line and do not land. Please PM me a console Kill command for Seagulls with in render, or even a world wide command. I'm good with never seeing another seagull. My game is almost unplayable but I don't want to give up on it.
  6. PATCH THIS, take the day it would take to change the "SINGLE" player when it comes to removing your own blocks. Fine, they become hardened, then how about 6-8 hits with a hammer for stone blocks??? I've got over 100 hours and finally decide to build my permanent base. Well after a serious bit of tedium trying to terraform, I start laying stone blocks. Hey wait a minute, don't like this design, damn I have to break stone blocks. Well its not to bad right, 300+ at 8 hits each......... I would love to just profane this to death but what on earth were you guys thinking??? Remember how I said "Don't frustrate your new player base"? Those of you that might claim the EA, and this team for still allowing this decision should go check your self, this is completely ridiculous. It would be a ONE day effort to clear a patch for this. Its single player..... Yes I am a bit ticked off as I just ruined my 100+ hour save. I do make back ups but not every 30 minutes. No, I don't want to use a "single use" barrier in a single player game, as I want structures on a few of the other Ylands. Now, I have to say, other then the performance issues and a "LOT" of clean up, features to be added, building/construction work(alot) I love this game, man its been a blast and like I have said, this is going to give us Bored Minecraft players PIRATES and SHIPS and Pirates with ships.....

    Its been SAID, but not enough

    Thx bud, was wondering about this but I didn't want to risk it marking the Exploration save as unplayable after you used the Editor on it. As for me having access to editors, if its as simple as a press of a button within game it would be horrible so I'm thankful its more of a process. I found years ago that if I had and knew cheat codes for a game, I didn't have the self discipline to stay the hell out of it. Been playing games since pong and Atari and it took a good long time. We all hated having to remove the mistakes made after placing Obsidian in the wrong places and that was only 18 hits with the diamond pick. I just have a hard time understanding how this small team could miss this blatant issues with a new start up since we have all learned so many great lessons within the last 20 years in Gaming. Again thx for the tip, I do appreciate it.
  8. Question is simple, and I am sure the way my week has been going someone is going to say, "Duh dude, just do this". Ok seriously now, how do you "CLEAR" a button or controller mapped setting. I know how to change them but need to be able to just clear the ones I dont want having any inputs. Please and Thanks guys.

    Ok Ane, thx for the response. Please don't stop communicating with your new player base. I know its gonna be a long hard task, but keep people on it. As for the long duration pauses "Frame stutter" I know its an asset handling job, but it shouldn't still be dealing with assets that are not within draw dist. After discovering all the Ylands in my single player my game stalls for way to long and way to frequently. I7 at 4.2 clock with a 1080gtx. just so you know its not my hardware.

    Wait Ane, please don't tell me the updater doesn't fix current worlds? I understand some issues are not applicable to current worlds, but this absolutely should be. If not I sure hope you guys are working on a more revised patcher/updater.

    I agree with this, if you do any hand to hand terraforming, it ruins the water/entire area you have worked on. Hope it gets work and some love.

    I don't need a Crane, hell I want is a Dinghy. Been sailing on and off all my life and I just got my first large exploration ship going and first Ysland..... "WHERES MY DINGHY" Come on guys, sail the Dinghy up to the back with option to tie off to back as long as you have a rope..... PLEASE

    Repair the big ship?

    Please for the love of GOD, I just spent 8 hours building my ship with this construction system that spins parts and cubes in ways NO ONE could possibly make a lot of sense of, then went to destroy the helm to place it where I want, and now my ship is full of cracks. So now I find out you use the Hammer for this, not the AXE???? Please tell me how to roll back my steam save or how to make backups. Then implement a ship fix kit..... PLEASE

    2 thing i think this game could use

    In time I am sure they plan on implementing many many more items. Example, a better stove for cooking that can cook stacks as opposed to singles in each slot. Same would go for better smeltery's which would have instead of 9 slots maybe 15 that could allow stacks of 5 or in each slot. I am sure they are hashing out ways to progress and give the player a feel of climbing the Tech Ladder. I wouldn't be surprised if they are already hashing out ideas for automation while they sit around the huge tables in Office G15 doing discovery and R&D. With the large number of sales through steam. Bohemia will throw a larger budget that will include another hand picked team to start increasing the creation/modeling/efficiency of Ylands over the next 9 months.

    As important as Bugs are to a new early release, its also important to make sure your not frustrating your player base to a point of harming a good pre-release. As part of early updates go, you might wanna consider a few small additions as well as a few tweaks to already implemented features. Here are a few, 1) Off hand is needed "Badly". 2) Breaking existing or placed blocks is driving most to not alter building creations. I have a few more but I don't want to sound greedy. Seriously, frustrating a new player base is not a good idea. Love the game, love what you guys are trying to create and well worth the small entry fee.

    respawn beacon?

    I have been around playing games for a very very long time. Was around for Bethesdas start, was around for Atari's start. I'm old, and not that this alone would qualify me any more than anyone else. I'm just trying to express to the Devs of Ylands that I have some experience and wisdom due to pure time watching games, developers and money men in the gaming industry. I'm going to list a few more things in here than just what is related to the spawning issue so bare with me please. 1) I fully realize the importance to the Devs wanting death to feel like its got substance and a value. On this one you guys have very little choice but to implement a system such as, a) Some type of spawning pole which was detailed above b) Bed spawning but restricted to setting a specific bed as the only spawn point. Could work in conjunction with a land marker, or a spawn pole/land marker claim combination so as to allow using/building other beds for the intended purpose. c) One choice for the gamer could be as soon as one makes a bigger ship that you could choose it to be your spawn, and that would eliminate the cheat usage of placing a bed just outside an expedition or cave diving run. Cough cough ARK SURVIVAL. A few opinions coming next. I have been spot on with seeing great games and watching them explode, and Ylands has this opportunity even in this over saturated area/market of gaming. Your small team has managed to slightly separate itself from soooo many other Survival/Crafting games and it would be sad to see its wind die down because of a few critical errors. I have been saying since about 1998 that one of the most devastating things game creators and or developers can do is 'Frustrate" the player in the attempt in trying to make something a challenge or increase in difficulty. Please guys, don't make this mistake, if the response is just pissing people off, remove it and implement something that doesn't. It is that simple. Don't stop communicating with the community no matter how large it becomes. As of the last 4 weeks I have seen 6-8 Youtubers playing Ylands with large sub counts and watch lists as I am sure you guys have been doing as well. This "IS" going to translate into purchases just due to exposure, but trying to make it the best exposure possible would and should be common sense. Should have fixed the spawning issues and a persistent map way before your main advertisers started flooding vids on Ytube. I really believe Ylands has an opportunity to do at a smaller scale what Minecraft did, and like it or not, it is the holy grail of simplicity in graphics and tech, with incredible game play. Ok I sound like im preaching, but one last thing. If someone that has the final say on a feature, or an implementation of major changes cant be told, "No F-off man, its a bad idea, and this new one is better" then you have to many yes people, and this is why a lot of good ideas get missed, and bad ideas continue. Again, sorry for this, I am not trying to tell you guys how to do your game, im just relaying the issues I have seen through out the years. 1) Please allow a way to tie the small sail boat/dingy behind your ship 2) A few headers that explain what recent items you have unlocked for crafting, just in the form of buttons or tabs at the bottom of the menu system you can click on to see these newly unlocked items. Maybe a visual tech tree of some kind? 3) Mapping is persistent, make a map, and its data is fully restored. Not saying you spawn with a map. Making your death show up on the map, or an icon directing you.........NO 4) Ships should absolutely have the hulls accessible with sleeping areas, storage pre-built walls if need be, but blank open hulls accessible through hatches is on the to do list I'm sure, but please make this happen as a priority sooner than later. 4) Now this could go on for a while, but I am sure most of this has come up in discovery meetings already. But going to leave this because its true, follow Minecrafts evolution in the Ylands way but faster. As soon as the sales start coming in from steam, go get the increase in staff and push for a flood of Tree Log colors, basically different species with there own textures after cutting them down, breeding, cooking advanced exc exc. You guys will be able to go to your Money men, (The Board) after Dec 6-10th with a strong argument to throw more assets at this. Strong strong Beginning game, Mid Game and Endgame. But I am positive this has come out in discovery. You guys have a shot here, and it could be a good one. I posted this because its great to hear it from the community not just in those meetings where everyone "thinks" they are on to something, you guys ARE onto something. Oh BTW: Increase stack/storage sizes by a 25-40% margin in all containers and stack values. Dren
