Overview: 

This time we are helping each other learn the new editor :D

Learn something you never knew before in editor & show us how to do it with screenshots or video or written instructions.

1) The moment you see this post:

2) Open the new editor

3) Push buttons & mess around

4) Share what you find out with us in screenshots or a video.

Style: 

1) Casual - This is a simple project not to be taken too seriously! 
 

Judging criteria: 

1) How well did the person explain what they discovered

2) Was what they discovered useful or interesting to others

 

Legal:

No purchase needed, submissions outside the deadline do not count. Coyns have no real-world value but are bought in game for about 3-5 USD per 1000. So the value of prizes is about $30. I cannot win the prize myself... clearly and I will choose the winner based on the "judging criteria."

Been playing with the logic and I could do how to make a moving platform and make the player move with it.

Or I could just simplify and show how to make an object move smoothly in any direction.  Basic could be making it move along one axis.  Advanced could be making it aim for a Waypoint.

(I hesitate to declare "I'm in" because I'm sure you've noticed I'm bad about following through.)

Its just for fun. You are free to declare it and do what you want :D

Time travel via the editor is a requirement :P

Yes, I know.  It was just such a sudden idea I couldn't hold back.  I literally first tried doing it a couple hours ago, and thought it was pretty cool, and I had to do it as a short tutorial.

Also, any suggestions for future competitions? 

I really liked this one. But I understand that this is a building competition and not a scripting one. So, what about mixing it a little bit? Once in a few rounds scripting in the Editor instead of building? For example, make a playable board game in-game. :) Building competition gave us a few very nice composition. This could give us nice new games or handy new mechanics to use in future adventure maps.
