hmm is it a "magic car-pet" It was such an ugly looking thing i wouldn't be surprised if the other inhabitants of my Yland removed it because it was lowering the tone of the Yland Hopefully it was not caused by BI staff at their New Years Eve party spilling their drinks over the servers

I suspect a land shark has come ashore and driven it out into the ocean somewhere ...or else carjacked by a few mutated pumas that did not like me digging into their cave and lining their hiding place with powder kegs that made a great series of "kabooms" .... they must have very sore eardrums!.

The first thing i do as a noob is craft a stone axe and gather flints...make a stone knife... then you can craft sticks into a spear for defense. gather wood and use the knife to collect resin.. craft a torch and a campfire and then a lit torch. You now have the basics for survival .. a spear is good against wolves and pumas etc but not so strong against bears. Collect feathers for arrows crossbow bolts Craft a tanning rack and a weaving loom and a spinning wheel.. make a wooden needle and try to find clay and craft a smelter for iron then a blacksmith station ... A crossbow is an effective early starter long range weapon.

Coming to a car show room near you! ... the " Dingomobile" My first attempts at a car, and as ugly as it is , its functional . note the absence of a passenger seat... that is because they way i drive it...no passenger would want to risk even their avatar being seated on it ..or near it! It makes a unique sound .....chug chug chug then "thump" as it hits something .. I decided to power it by a steam engine ..as there are plenty of wood pieces around now after i collide with small shrubs and trees. I am curious to see what happens if i run at high speed into a land shark

Agreed! Perhaps planting grass seeds could be implemented... ? and after 3 days if its soil etc it goes green.

.. And vultures ...got one stuck in the deck and it turned the ship 180 degrees ... took me 5 minutes of chasing it around the deck between storage chests trying to get it with a saber...was careful not to hit helm by mistake. The meat made a great meal when roasted

It also happened to me after i was returning form plundering a saltpeter deposit on a nearby Ysland ... i placed some loot into a chest on the ship ...it was still under full sail.... suddenly the ship dived under the sea... rocked then shot into the air and we traveled suddenly righted itself and dropped back into a normal position... at an angle above the water. for 10 seconds... then all acted normal ... the attached screenshot show the ship at an angle of 45 degrees listing to port and with the stern nearly under water.

Very impressive! Do show more as you progress.

Some interior shots of my base at Dingoland... showing the crafting areas, sleep area,, and a corridor of storage cabinets. There.s electricity supplied by 5 wind turbines on the roof, and the 2nd story has some storage for bulk items eg unsmelted ore etc There were apparently no caves on this Yland however i discovered some cave plants on the surface.... and after a test dig, discovered rock etc associated with a cave structure. So a Gunpowder keg was used to do some " instant mining" and lo and behold found a cave entrance just below the surface. Time to do some spelunking with a revolver and torch

So my post got a down vote ...somehow i expected it would. It just proves my point that some do not like facts. If you put your hands over your ears and chant "la-la-la" you will eventually find that no one will be inclined to help you in the future. Fortunately the developers of this game will still try to help you, but really, if you listen, you might get somewhere. Anyway, I like this game ...and accept that its still in early access and there is a lot of tweaking to do ... but what is also exciting is they have a road map for future developments... unlike other games. Enjoy the game .

you can also try to click on the helm of your ship..... I have a bed located in the rear section of mine and that's useful for recovering from unfortunate accidents

I discussed this issue with a friend who is an IT expert with my former employer... His reply is "its not a fault with the game, so get over it ... check your antivirus/ firewall / and scan for malware that may be interrupting your connection..or worse still, key logging or spying on your computer". He looked through a lot of the "complaints" on this forum out of curiosity about logging in, crashing and graphics issues. In 90% of the cases he says its most likely incompatible graphic cards, out of date drivers, or trying to get a small under powered laptop to run a more intensive program. People should read the min. requirements to run this game before screaming they cannot log in. Don't expect a motor scooter to be able to haul a trailer load of bricks! Unfortunately, he says this is a common issue with most Mp and newer games ... a lot of the new players are used to console type games with standard graphics etc, and they have no idea about how a PC works. Its Easy to blame the game rather than do a little research ..such as " can my computer run it? " He also noted that a lot of the calls for help have already been answered and a fix notified ... just people find it easier to complain rather than do a little research. I only post something here that's obviously a bug ... either a new one or to confirm an old one with additional information that might lead the Devs. to a clue about whats causing it. A chain is as strong as its weakest link .. and where there's multiple links involved ..like steam, your internet provider, or the cable connecting you to the internet, etc you should consider them before denouncing the game , like a few have done on steam. Even a top of the range computer with all the bells and whistles can have issues if its not set up correctly, or if its clogged up with useless apps and the cache full of "cr@p" ... regular clean up maintenance will help, and maybe better to move your data from visiting porn sites onto usb sticks or deleting it before mummy and daddy find out (such sites are notorious for sneaking in spyware and such...) I occasionally get a few seconds lag /hang but it doesn't send me off into a tirade.. I know i have a slow connection, i have a i3 cpu, and run a Nvidia 750 gtx graphics card ...not the top notch stuff but it allows me to play and i accept the shortfalls. I run Crapcleaner, malwarebytes and my Bitdefender disk tune up program at least once a week ..its amazing how much rubbish they find ..and how faster the system runs afterwards! Meanwhile i am enjoying the game and find the occasional freeze an good time to run to the toilet ..or make a cup of coffee ...

Went for a sail today and noticed that the wind indicator changes direction ..according to the wind ... But as a bonus when it indicated a following wind my ship attained speeds that would ensure it would win the America's cup! ..or an Olympic sailing Gold medal Also when sailing "into the wind" the ship was noticeably slower, likewise with cross winds. Am i imagining it, or is this an subtle change/update?

Thats why I don't play MP ... I could turn into a psychopath when meeting other Ylanders I am sure the Team at BI will not invite me to their offices for safety reasons I have a swarm of seagulls that are not far from my base ...and every time i return to my base and try to dock I end up having to dispose one of them that seems to sneak aboard my ship without a ticket. Strangely, I also get woken up " not safe to sleep here" to find one inside my base ...despite the locked doors .. there might be a spawning area inside one of my rooms, and i often go on a rampage at night with my saber chasing one from room to room .. But then, that's not as bad as finding a crab under your bed! ...or a horse or goat in it with you!

Send out a boat with a huge wall or something they will hit and then drop onto the deck .,.. then have roast seagull feast with lots of feathers for arrows

Badtouchatr ... when you respawn and escape that leopard., note the place. later, come back with weapons and place nearby a container with some survival stuff like a flint lighter spear food clothing etc ... so if you get killed again, you will have a better chance after re-starting

I suspect its all random .... i have opened chests to find different things in each one. others such as boxes were empty but looking carefully nearby i have found half buried weapons and ammunition. Once i found a pair of alchemist shoes behind a tree some harvested plants and a note..it contained a alchemy recipe using the plants I been on some islands with no caves or structures ,,but have found literally tones of iron, coal, copper and saltpeter in a easy to mine grouping I guess the randomness is truly random.. ...its all in the luck when the game is seeded and started. But then you don't want everything to be predictable ! That would spoil the game.

Great in your Alcoholic drinks ...but don't touch the yellow snow ( blame the penguins..)

I visited one ...found a bonfire with items left around.... fought of a polar bear and 3 arctic wolves ... they made cool looking clothing... saw a cave full of mutant penguins but dared not enter... i was low on ammo for my crossbow. I am sure there's other things ...you can harvest snow... possibly for alchemy ... ? But they do have steep cliffs and there's always the risk of falling and death ..if you don't freeze first!

Full moon? ..either that or the fish/sharks possess luminosity!

With Christmas knocking on the door, expect there to be a break ... these guys have to eat as well!! ..and they will work better afterwards with a stomach full of Christmas cake, pudding, and ham and turkey, plus have warmer feet from the socks Santa will bring them Meanwhile we just have to be patient....and perhaps use the free time to celebrate with family and friends!
